At end of a washing cycle, there is red light red at 'key' button and the door cannot be opened. What can I do to open the door?

I would like to do a normal wash without drying but not for 290 minutes! Can you please help?

Dear Michelle, this machine has 7.5kg wash and 4.5kg dry. The only cycle that will take 290 minutes is the Night cycle. Please have a look through your manual, the quickest wash is the Daily 30min wash, which is for 3 kg of washing or the White cotton colourfast wash for 85mins. new machines bought from Harvey Normans Ballina .. "ENDLESS" problems.

last was a piece of wire caught in the motor of the washing machine almost caused a fire... the wire has a clamp in the middle. I have no idea where this wire is from or how ???? it has presented itself in the motor area of my machine. the clothes dryer has RUsT..!!! on the front area Looks like condensation problem ..??
