Disappointed – My Dads favourite when I was growing up. On a whim bought a packet for the first time in many years. Shocked when opened , so much smaller!! Definately not like thd original. Wont buy again. Show details
Disappointed – They were a great favourite of mine but not anymore. Half the size and poorly made. Doesn't taste like they used to...cheap copy. Not buying again and save your money for a timtam.
Mint slice tastes chalky – Really lacking in quality and flavour. The Woolworths brand is fantastic compared to this Arnott's version. The mint part is chalky and weird . The quality of Arnott's biscuits is really starting to become poor across the entire collection Show details
Disgusting – First packet of biscuits that I have thrown in the bin after only eating 1 biscuit. Mint slice used to be one of my favourite snacks. The taste now is unrecognisable. Arnotts are obviously making these biscuits as cheaply as they can whilst sacrificing the quality. What a shame.
A substandard packet of Arnott chocolate mint slice – Has Coles stopped selling Arnott mint slice biscuits? is it because they have found them to be of poor quality? Arnott's mint slice purchased from Aldi YASS NSW were of very poor quality Coles Jamison (Canberra) had not put them on display/shalves inthe same week. I was curious to see if the biscuit quality was the same Show details
What happened ? – They seem to have shrunk in size and flavour. Chocolate tastes cheap like palm oil. Show details
Where’s the mint gone? – Sadly, mint flavour almost non existent. Must have cut down on peppermint oil. No where near the quality of the mint slices of yesteryear. What a shame. Cheaper store brand Aldi mint slices actually better.
Nice minty fresh biscuits – I don’t buy these regularly, but when I do, I enjoy them. They have a nice minty taste and flavour and there is a good crunch with the biscuit too. These are nice to have for a cuppa and good as a gift for a gift hamper too.
What a shame – Terrible how small it has become and only a fraction of mint is on it. What a Shame Definitely have to go back to a different brand. More a biscuit and not minty Show details
What happened? I'm heart broken – After many years hiatus, I bought a pack of what I thought was Mint Slice biscuits. What I got was sheer insanity. The biscuit was no longer the deep chocolate biscuit edging on the bitter side. It was more like a (famous US) sugar filled atrocity. I know brands use sugar as a cheap filler when things get expensive, but if I had wanted this I… Read more
would have given myself a placemat, a spoon, and the sugar bowl. The mint cream was also overly sugared.
And tiny! That isn't a Mint Slice... that is an embryonic Mint Slice, before it grows up. When the thought of a possible Mint Slice begins to form... nebulous... insignificant. The merest whisper of a Mint Slice.
I am bitterly disappointed. We are Australians, not 'other major areas of the world' !!! Why are you trying to make us eat that much sugar? It's really awful. We don't like it. You can't taste anything over it.
That's it for Arnott's. After several other huge disappointments, we have broken up. Permanently.
I felt like my childhood had been deliberately run over by a 'hostess cakes' truck driven by an insane clown, high on corn syrup.
