Shrinking Chocolate Monte biscuits – Chocolate Monte Carlo biscuits. These have been my family favourite for over 50 years. Today they have the same flavour however so very much smaller. What's happening to the original? Please explain . Show details

Go back to the original Monte Carol recipe -- PLEASE ! – Arnotts be ashamed of yourself. How can you change the recipe of an iconic biscuit that has been so popular and loved for so many years? Staff, speak up if you disagree about the change of something. Listen to what the public has to say. If it's not broke , there is no need to fix it. Please, return to the old , original tried and tested Monte… Read more

HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT – I sent this Arnotts, l am upset at the change but mainly for family reason. My dad's favorite bisciuts was the Monte Carlo. My kids would always get one when they visited him. Unfortunately my dad passed away years ago but l always kept them at home as they became a family favorite. As time went on they became a less kept item as we changed to… Read more

home made biscuits. I recently after 4 or so years bought a pack of Monte Carlos as l was with my 2 daughters and it bought back many memories. What a disappointment, biscuits were pale, not as crunchy, l thought it was me but my daughters picked up the change immediately. I thought maybe the biscuits were out of date, nope, l thought maybe the back had a hole in it. So upon a recent visit to a different supermarket l purchased another packet. Huge disappointment by all of us as you have definitely changed how they are made. No longer a bisciut we remember with such fondness.

Disappointment reigns – Just opened a packet of Monte Carlos and was so looking forward to having them as a treat with a cup of tea as I haven't purchased them for quite some time. Like other reviews, what a disappointment! On my first bite, I literally stopped and looked at the biscuit as there was ZERO crunch. What the?! Soft and pale to the point you think they've… Read more

been undercooked - either that or the expiry date was well gone (which it wasn't). Why change a good thing, Arnott's?? Another ex-customer here.

Won’t buy again – I haven’t bought Monte Carlos for a few months but when I picked up a packet I was remembering the crunchy biscuit and chewy pink and white filling that went to the edges. The biscuit is now soft and bland and the small solid blob of chalky pink stuff is revolting. The packaging still shows them the way I remember but inside is completely different. Trades descriptions should take a look at this. Show details

Terrible – Arnott's started in Australia in 1847 and were once a great company with great products but no longer. I'm 70 and I've been an Arnott's biscuit eater all my life. Now the products are so small and the price so high I can't let myself be conned anymore. Yeah, the weight might be on the packets in small print but a person should be given a fair… Read more

indication of the size of the contents by the size and shape of the packet. Shapes and Jatz are bland and mostly tasteless flattened little dots and squares, and Monte Carlos and Kingston etc are an embarassment to the company as far as I'm concerned. Is this is the way you want your loyal customers to be treated Arnotts?

What a rip-off – Biscuits are half the size now, and has too many separators in the packet, giving you 20% less than you think you get. Shame on you Arnott's calling yourself an Australian company.

Why have you done this? – Monte Carlo was my favourite biscuit and a traditional family purchase. The texture of the biscuit has completely changed. It appears to be under-baked and instead of being crisp is now soft and floury. Our household will not be purchasing this product again. Show details

So disappointed that you have changed Monte Carlo recipe – We have virtually lived on Monte Carlo biscuits for many years. I can’t believe that you have sacrificed this beautiful biscuits in the name of profits. I thought at least Monte Carlo would have been held sacred in the ‘biscuit world’, but apparently not Show details

Another substandard crap product – The formerly crisp baked biscuit is now a tasteless floury mouthful of blandness. The filling is tasteless & has no texture. Completely ruined. Will never purchase again. Show details

Arnotts monte carlo biscuits – Monte Carlo biscuits are no longer the same. The biscuit is not crunchy & textured and the filling is not chewy. I don't know where they are made but they are not the same. I will not be buying them again. At least this is a good way to stop eating biscuits as I only buy Australian made & the choices are becoming smaller. Show details

Quality of Arnotts Monte Carlo biscuit – Very disappointed with Arnott Monte Carlo biscuits. Freshly opened this morning. At first I thought I bought a brand substitute but no, unfortunately they were the original brand. Immediately I knew something had changed. Couldn’t taste or see the jam in the filling. Biscuit had the texture of cardboard. Not enough butter in the biscuit and… Read more

A classic, unfortunately changed for the worst – Purchased a packet of Monte Carlo biscuits from Coles for the first time in a while. Really disappointed to see they have changed the quality of the filling. The red jam layer over the cream is very thin and therefore has lost that wonderful chewy texture it was once memorable for. Without knowing why it’s changed, all I can say is, it’s a step in the wrong direction for this otherwise iconic biscuit. Show details

Monte Carlo no longer chewy or yummy – Very disappointed that there's been a change in quality. I used to love dipping these biscuits into my tea. It's smaller, text is different and no longer has a chew to it. I tried to call and provide feedback. No answer Show details

Disgusting – Life long favourite biscuit of mine amd haven't eaten them for about 4 years due to health reasons. I puchased a pack and was shocked when I opened them. They don't look or taste anything like they used to. They taste like #&=* Another corporate sell out to the weasels that are ruining everything these days... Enough said, Shame Arnotts, shame. Show details

What happened here – I have bought 6 packs of different biscuits recently. Monte Carlo was awful. The biscuit is just like a thick Marie. Tasteless, and the jam has lost the toffee texture. Will not buy Arnotts again. I ended up giving them all away. Mone Carlo was my favourite once.  Show details

Quality has dropped significantly – Haven't had these in years, but decided to buy a pack and ended up throwing them out. Smaller in size, and a dry soggy biscuit. The nostalgic crunch into a chewy jammy center replaced now by some pasty powdery overly sugared slag. Repeated efforts to increase profits off of an old Australian icon, reducing the brand to rubbish. Will never buy again. Even Coles brand is preferable to this junk. Disgusting. Show details

Arnott's Biscuits have sacrificed their traditional recipes and quality for a sub-standard product – Arnott's Biscuits have sacrificed their traditional recipes and quality for a sub-standard product. Biscuits. So Arnott's Biscuits you have sacrificed traditional recipes and quality for a sub-standard product all for increasing you profit. Quality down products to reduce costs & improve profits. Arnott's Biscuits once a producer of quality biscuit products to a producer of bland disgusting rubbish.

Monte Carlo biscuits have joined the current trend for cheapening down a product to improve profits – opened a pack of new style Monte Carlo biscuits. What a shock the biscuit in flattened, very crumbly, and soft in texture, the filling seems sweetener. Gone is the crisp, crunchy, chewey twxture, not overly sweet biscuit I loved. Another victim of the current trend to quality down products to reduce costs & improve profits. They are now off… Read more

Arnott"s Chocolate Monte – Sadly the same thing has happened to Arnott"s Choc Monte as has happened to their Monte Carlo. Tates like a very different cheap version of the former biscuits. No longer has that distinct flavour, texture is very different, dryer and fine crumbs. They're also thinner. Now tastes like any other generic cheap chocolate biscuits but cost more. The… Read more

choc coating is different too,is now a softer milk chocolate that is sweet minus flavour instead of the solid rich dark choc coating they used to have. Not buying again.
