Scammers – We paid for the service, as soon as we paid we heard nothing from them! Still trying to hunt hen down for a refund. But can not get in contact!

5 out of 5 stars – We are so glad that we chose atmosphere djs as our wedding Dj. Glynis was very quick to respond to all my emails. On the day of the event they showed up early, created the perfect playlist and played nearly every song we hoped for! They kept the party running smoothly and had everyone out dancing. We highly recommend them to all other brides or anyone looking for a DJ service in Brisbane.

A very professional company – DJ Jean was great and the dance floor was never empty all night. His experience in music selection and as an Mc were outstanding. We wanted our wedding to be fun and the Atmosphere DJs team definitely made this a reality. Our guests commented on what a great job you did. Very affordable and great company to work with! – We had absolutely the best experience with Atmosphere Djs. From the start when we first booked them, it was a great experience. Charity Event - Everyone raved about the Music – I booked Atmosphere DJ for my Charity Event and they were brilliant! I had a fashion show organized for the event, and I had a specific playlist for the runway, and DJ PJ was so accommodating and spot on with the timing. The rest of the evening he had the right mix of music for the age group that attended and everyone left with a smile on their face. I would definitely recommend them and would use them again if I organized another event.

perfect. They played all the songs we wanted and by the end of the party, we still had so many people dancing and wanting to hear more. They were cheaper than the other companies and I couldn’t recommend a more perfect dj company.

Stay away. Dj Rude and igorant – Attended a wedding where I was apart of the Bridal party. Not only did the DJ refuse to play certain significant songs that relate closely between the Bride and myself, he had little music of interest to the Bride and Groom. guests, members of the Bride and Groom but also the staff of the venue. Would not recommend this DJ nor this company to anyone in the future for any event/wedding. The customer service lady in charge was extremely rude and refused to give any help and insisted that her DJ was telling a different story and accused the Bride of lying. Not professional behaviour by the DJ nor by the company who represent themselves at such high esteem. Think twice before you put your day at Jeopardy.

Dj Jean was fantastic and everyone was dancing throughout the reception. He also did a great job as MC. Anyone would be lucky to have them as their dj!

Bad impression – They were very very keen to book me in and have my deposit paid as soon as possible, but took days to respond to emails when I asked some detailed questions (can we meet the DJ, who will be our DJ, what happens if the DJ is sick or equipment fails, etc. etc). questions were addressed, the answers weren't satisfactory (i.e. our DJ would only be chosen a couple of months out from the wedding and only then could we meet them), and for the rest of the questions I was told to call them to get answers.

Their customer service put me offside initially and then after reading these reviews I steered clear of them.

Disgraceful- stay away from this company – Stay away from this company. Exact thing happened to us in 2009 – They took our payment $750 and dj never turned up to our wedding!! Still trying to get our money back but no luck tracking them down! Very stressful and very upsetting!

Wedding Horror Story – We originally booked atmosphere djs (to DJ and MC our wedding) about 6 months out from our wedding, on the basis that we would be able to meet with the dj prior to the big day. About 2 months out from the wedding we had not had any communication with the DJ, so I called them to try and organise a time for us to meet. I spoke to a lady from head office and she started to backtrack on the original agreement to meet him, suggesting we might need to drive to the Sunshine Coast (from Brisbane) to meet him as he wouldn't have time. She told me she would double check with him though and get him to call me back that day. I had not heard anything so I called back the following day, in which she was surprised he had not called me back. She told me she would call him and make sure he calls me. I had to call her about 4 times over the course of a week as I had not heard anything each time... In the end, she gave me his mobile number and told me to call him directly (***first warning sign***).

When I called him, he didn't seem to know much about who we were and it did not sound as though he had had many conversations with the lady from head office. He was not interested in coming to Brisbane, and although not desirable, we came to a mutual agreement that we would have a Skype Video Call on the Saturday coming. During this conversation he questioned the relevance of us meeting, stating that he's never had to meet anyone before. He also requested we make the call at 12pm because he wanted to sleep in. On the Friday I called him just to confirm we would still have the video call the following day and he told me that this would not be happening because he had booked a job. I asked why I had not been informed and he said that he told the lady at head office that he couldn't make it (she actually denied they had this conversation later on). He was in a hurry to get off the phone because he was working at the time, and said he'd call me the following week to arrange another time. He again questioned the relevance of us having a meeting, "What is the point of this meeting anyway? I've done over 500 weddings and have never had to meet a client once" (***second warning sign***). It was at this point that we realised Atmosphere DJs were completely unreliable and that our wedding would be treated as just another number, with no regards to what we actually wanted for the night.

On the Monday I called the head office and told them everything that happened and stated that I wanted to cancel the booking. The lady was very sympathetic at the time and completely understood why we wanted to cancel. She told me that she has "No idea why he said that, he has met with many clients before". This was 1 month out from our wedding and although we had no DJ we felt we had no alternative. I was told our deposit would be refunded in the coming days.

Over the next two weeks I had chased this up several times only to have my emails, phone calls and voicemails all ignored. Eventually getting through to someone, they had completely changed their tone. They were no longer sympathetic and had turned the story around on me. I was told that we would not be getting our refund because we cancelled at late notice, despite them being extremely unprofessional. When asking how a professional business can cancel a meeting without letting me know, she told me that the DJ probably didn't want to do it because we undermined him. Apparently, wanting to meet with the DJ meant we were questioning their professionalism. She actually told me we should have just trusted them to do a good job because they are a reputable business.

I continued to try and get the deposit back, this time being told that the only person capable of refunding the money is the owner, who was away on a cruise for a week. I continued to contact after this date and was told his cruise was extended. I managed to find the owners mobile number, but he consistently ignored my phone calls. I believe the owners name is [name removed]. The DJ's name was "[name removed]".

In the end I told them that I was disappointed they would not give me my refund and that I would be seeking help from fair trading. I also told them I'll be sure to post a review online about the experience I had, which they then threatened me with legal action saying that if we post it, it would be classed as "slander". Please be assured, this is in no way slander - just facts.
