Sticky handles – We kept the pots for special use and are 5 years old. Gone to use it and found that the handles is sticky as if it was melting slowly.

great in the first year or so, then started to get less 'non-stick' and more 'stick' - now it's terrible – I purchased the Baccarat bio cast aluminium 28cm frypan many years ago. (probably about 5-6 yrs). In the beginning it was great, but it slowly started to become non-stick and now it sticks badly - and probably not very 'bio' by this stage either..... I always used olive oil and non-stick utensils. Washed by hand with a soft dish cloth that is… Read more

non-scratch and had never burnt the pan.

It says 25 year warranty on the outer packaging, however I emailed baccarat a month ago about warranty and replacement and haven't heard a thing. I haven't used the pan in over a year due to the sticking. I now use a cheapie from Big W and my amazing 'Swisse Diamond' Saute pan - LOVE that brand!!! Terrible customer service.

I wouldn't buy another one of these pans.

I do have their crepe pan too and that works perfectly and is non-stick after about the same amount of years - though used less often. (I use butter in that pan not oils)

You need to use it right and then it's great – I see a lot of low stars bad reviews. That is because there is a way to use these pans. I made a mistake with the first one I bought and everything sticked to it. I got a free replacement from the shop I bought it from and this time actually read the instructions. The pan simply needs to be seasoned with high burning point cooking oil like rice… Read more

bran oil or sunflower oil (not extra virgin olive oil) before using. I have now been using my bio+ range for the last 3 years now and have had no troubles. Lesson learned is always read instructions with any pans before use.

It’s a really good pan so far – I haven’t had any problems with mine, sautéed nicely, accidentally over-cooked food and soaked pan immediately, washed clean easily! For a large wide pan it’s light and easy to handle. Left off a star because I haven’t been able to find any reviews on how healthy is the cooking surface.  Show details

Products are great – I have bought three of these baccarat Non-stick frying Pans. I think they are great. I took heed of advice when I bought them from robins kitchen,so I don't use sprays to cook. I always use olive oil to cook and I am very happy with them.  Show details

Lost it's non stick within the first week!! – I took the store clerks advice and took care when I used it (no metal, no high heat etc.) But the non stick stopped working within the first few days of using! I cannot return it as it was on sale. What a waste of money. Show details

Everything sticks frypan! – This is NOT a non stick frypan, it's an everything sticks frypan. We followed the directions completely and by far this fry pan is worse than our old cast iron frypan for stickability. Show details

Worst non stick pan I've ever had – I received this pan as a Christmas gift from my mother. I'm aware all non-stick things have a couple of year lifespan at best but this one was a let down from day one. Its super-stick, a normal cast iron or stainless steel pan is less sticky. Show details

Great pans even after 10 years! – This pan set was bought for me over 10 years ago as a thank you present and I've used one of them almost every day since then. I made sure I oiled them with olive oil and heated them on their own first time and after that they were sterling non stick pans not one of them sticking. I've never put them in the dishwasher there's no need as they are… Read more

so easy to clean due to being non stick. I usually put a squirt of washing up liquid in and hot water, leave for 15 mins then give it a quick wash that's all you need. I've used the dutch oven pans for bread and curries in the oven, again easy to clean in fact they've never stained and have kept their red colour. As I've got older and terribly arthritic hands I've been grateful they are also very lightweight, that's been a godsend. VERY happy - these have been a FANTASTIC present after all these years!

excellent – I had the bio+ 32cm saute pan for almost 5 years and it is still in perfect conditions. it is important to keep seasoning it every now and then and it is absolutely vital not to put it in the dishwasher and it'll last forever. use the right tool avoiding scratching it and you'll have an everlasting non-stick pan. the only downside is that probably the handles become hot while cooking so you will need something to move the pan around. Show details

Was good pan for me – I personally liked this pan and it was the best pan i've ever had and am dissapointed I cant buy another one. after 3 years of everyday use the black coating inside the pan was still perfectly intact. Yes, after 3 years food started to stick to it but as long as you had a little oil nothing ever sticked, was definitely better than stainless steel frying pans i've had. Only got rid of it cause my cat peed in it.

The stickiest non stick cookware you can buy – We bought the Baccarat Bio cookware set because they claimed to be safe non stick cookware. It does not matter what you cook in the fry pan it sticks and need to be scrubbed clean. I use a $10 Woolworths pan instead when cooking now. This has been a terrible experience and really put us off the Baccarat brand which we mistakenly thought had… Read more

quality products.

Also if you buy the set it shares 1 lid with 2 or 3 different pots or pans. It's a small thing but it is annoying when cooking multiple things.

Do not buy if you are after something that will last longer than a few months – I'm a professionally trained chef and have been cooking (very well I am told) for 35 years. Our pan has never been over heated, never been in the dishwasher, is carefully hand cleaned and only had fine olive oil of peanut oil on it. It looks essentially new on the non-stick side. After about 3mo the pan started mysteriously sticking in… Read more

some places and after a couple of more months everything welds to the surface and will not release even when left off the stove with a lid on. Other pans would release as moisture is incorporated into the crust.

What another waste of cash on a poor quality non stick pan.

It is impossible to be careful enough. Trust the reviews – After reading the reviews, I bought a couple of these, thinking that I take *pristine* care of my pans. Never put in the dishwasher, never in the oven, never above moderate heat. They remained non-stick for much less than a year. The non-stick surface simply wears away. It seems I got a bit more use out of them than others by being extremely… Read more

careful. I'm sure they'd last even longer in laboratory conditions with a couple of materials scientists present. But absolutely not suitable for even the most obsessive kitchen.

Also they claim to have good heat-distribution, but it's pretty poor.

UPDATE: I decided these pans were basically disposable now, so I started putting them in the dishwasher. Can confirm that the heat indicator on the handle has started coming off after just one or two washes, and there's weird graphite-like coating coming off the base. Dishwasher safety is questionable at best.

Useless products – Extremely disappointed in the 3 fry pans I bought. 3 different sizes and was looking forward to using them. Everything has stuck to them from day one. I thought they were a non stick pan. Having read reviews on this page it seems a lot of people have same issue. Will not buy this product again. Looks like it will be the cheap brands for me now!!  Show details

Not a Non Stick Frypan – I did all the steps prior to using it as a non stick frypan. When I used it for the first time the food stuck immediately. It was the worse frypan I have ever used, even washing it was difficult as the food was hard to come off even after soaking.  Show details

Worst pan from baccarat..do not buy – This is one of the worst non-stick pans I have used and I did not expect this from baccarat, having used their Rock series,I hoped that the bio series would also be good, but the pan turned bad after couple of.months, tried taking it back twice to house store but they didn't help and asked me to approach their customer service who in turn asked me to reach out to store again...  Show details

Really wasn't so happy with it – I searched and searched for a healthy alternative for non stick frypans and bought these. They were great for the first couple of weeks but after many uses the surface started to get a build up on it. From that time on they were anything but non stitch so I took then back and was given a full refund which was nice.  Show details

Love, love, love my saute pan – I purchased it recently to allow for healthier, less or no oil cooking. I use it on regular basis and for variety of dishes. It's great for frying (with just a touch of oil), sautes, as well as casseroles. I love that I can saute food on the cook top and then simply pop it in the oven without having to transfer to another oven proof dish. It's… Read more

non-stick and easy to wash up. I also purchased one as a present for another family member who loves cooking and they are as thrilled as I am.

Do not purchase Baccarat Bio products – I bought The Baccarat Bio 32cm saute pan 2 years ago and in the last few months everything sticks and burns and the coating is no longer non stick. I pointed out that I was not… Read more

advised to use oil when I purchased the pan and it did not mention it anywhere on my proof of purchase (which I still had).

The lady at Robins Kitchen basically said too bad and nothing they can do for me.

I paid $99 for this pan, which I might add was 50% off the original price of $198 and I would expect better product and service. I have never heard of a fly pan that you cannot use oil in and if I had been advised of this at the time of purchase would not have bought it. I would strongly recommend do not purchase this product

Love it. I want one of every type – I now own the 20cm and 26 cm frypan, the 24cm and 32cm pan, and the 16cm saucepan and I have a deep rectangular roasting one. I want to buy the 28cm grill pan. I am really happy with these pans. I now only want to buy Baccarat Bio+ . Easy to clean and the red colour is nice. Was given my first two as gift in 2014.  Show details

Complaint met a brick wall – A Baccarat soup pot purchased at Waurn Ponds Robins Kitchen has handles hot enough to burn. The handles are not designed separately from the pot. Confidently returning it I was told that as I was using a heat source this was to be expected. The pot it replaced (not Baccarat) was over 20 years old and neither the pot handles nor the lid ever became… Read more

hot let alone dangerously so. Consumer law says goods must be safe. I got nowhere and the Complaints line yielded a (badly) recorded message. A very disappointing experience with an expensive item. No goodwill left.

Used for 3 yrs and going strong – My small one is excellent and nothing sticks to it. I always heat it up on medium heat and then turn it down to low heat. My bigger one tends to stick on the first batch of pancakes but then it's good after that and they slide off. I use coconut oil as I have been told never to cook with olive oil. It's unhealthy when heated and makes cookware… Read more

sticky. I think Tefal pans will always be superior but I will never use them again as they are toxic and their toxic chemicals have even been found in breast tissue! So I would rather have a few sticking issues than poison myself and family.

Sticks like you know what! – Don't ever use the frying pan, non stick is useless everything sticks like you know what. I sent a frypan back and they accused me of not cleaning it properly! No matter if you use Jif as the recommended cleaner it makes no difference! I would have still liked a refund.  Show details

It sticks!!! – Bought from House and was told its non stick good brand with life time warranty. Everything is false. The pan starts sticking after a few weeks of cooking with bacon and mince. basic Tefal pans can. Then they try to say i use high heat on my pan Erich i didn't. Anyway they unhappily change a new pan for me and said it might be manufacturing issue. Well guess what the replacement pan is the same. Must be alot of manufacturing issues then. I give up. My old cheap Tefal works heaps better than this brand.

Faulty baccarat pot and terrible customer service – We bought a Baccarat stock pot at the Fountain Gate Narre warren store. This was a great pot, we made soups and stock and nothing else in it. Disappointed!! – I chose Baccarat as a recognised quality brand. But from the start, food was sticking, even something as simple as fired eggs. Worst pan ever! – This pan is terrible! I followed all of the seasoning info, the first month was ok, now any thing and everything sticks to it. We purchased this pan to minimise the amount of oil we were using, now we pretty much have to deep fry everything to prevent food from sticking. The number of hours i've spent cleaning this pan is a joke. If you purchase one, dont throw away your receipt! You'll need it.  Show details

Bio+ Baccarat Is Misrepresented by Play Corp – I made my first and second purchase 2nd Feb 2013. On 7th Feb 2013 I made a 3rd purchase and on my trip to Queensland I made my 4th purchase. That is how happy I was with this product. Short lived however, despite following the instructions carefully and even keeping some of the packaging for storage of the pieces I purchased. I kept my… Read more

receipts and decided just shy of 12 months after purchase that I really was not happy with the amount of money I spent to see issues after the first dishwasher wash.

* some sort of corrosion on the bottom of the pans which stained my hands grey

* the paint used on the neck of the pans that illuminates red to tell you the pan is hot enough began to peel

* the rubbery finish on the handles started to peel off and on one pan was sticky to touch

* exterior paint finish was coming off

* food was sticking inside

With each wash they looked worse and worse that not even after 12 months after purchase they looked like they were 50 years old and misused on a daily basis.

I took two of the worst pans back to place of purchase and both were replaced without any problems.

The replacements go into the dishwasher and the very same issues appear.

The pans I used more often got worse quicker but all showed varying degrees of problems.

I did nothing about it up until mid January 2017, when it all got the better of me and I called [name removed] at Play Corp and spoke to him about these issues. I expressed my bitter disappointment in the product, saying that these were not cheap purchases and certainly did not look like they would last a lifetime. To which [name removed] quickly pointed out Lifetime was the lifetime of the saucepans. I told him there is no definition of 'Lifetime' on the product information which came with the pans and pointed out the pans were shy of 4 years old. I said that moving forward I would like them replaced with another range as there is no point replacing with the same range ... the issues return. However in my ideal world I wish I had not purchased them and would rather have a refund and start over with a different brand.

I contacted [name removed] because I felt sidelined by [name removed] who wanted very clear images of the pans so he could assess them. I explained I only had my phone camera and was not prepared to purchase a camera in order to get very clear images but I was more then happy to pack up all the pans and bring them to him for a hands on inspection.

I sent [name removed] an email with images showing how the pans were stored and the care I took with them.

[name removed] organized for me to take the pans into a store close to home for the store manager ([name removed]) to image all the pans.

[name removed] sent all the images and an email to [name removed].

[name removed] has asked me to scan and send her my receipts. This I will do tomorrow. She said that they will need to see the sizes I purchased as shown on the receipts so they can see how to go about replacing them with a different range.

The issue is not resolved as of writing this tonight.

I hope anyone thinking about purchasing anything Baccarat products will read the reviews here and make an informed decision about their purchase.

Thus far my experience has been very negative with the product and I remain hopeful the resolution will be positive.
