The issue with most people is they have no real idea how to use their cook ware correctly, & hate being told that, or what it should be used for. Like anything there maybe pros & Cons. Ive had mine for years and they still perform & look good. As far as oven mitts go, i would defiantly use them if using your oven, would with anything. Sometimes… Read more
the handle may get a little hot, but I find that is while using more than one item on the stove top, common sense prevails & a tea towel is enough. My main issue would be the weight of them as they are a lot heavier than most. Overall great kitchen ware.
I've had this pan set for over 15 years and going strong. I just need to find replacement handles etc and it will be like new. Show details

As you can see this Pam does not cook the product that it has been seasoned with. I bought the whole range in this and I cannot express my disappointment more. Do not waste your money. Years ago it was great.... now this brand is a joke.forgot to say, you need oven mitts to use Show details
My 20 year old set is still in relatively good condition – I've had this set since I moved out of home, and so it would now be nearly 23 years old. I do keep my saucepans clean, and I generally wash them shortly after using them. Once a year or so, I bring out the big guns - Gumption and use a little to refresh the stainless steel, both inside and out. There is a cooper plate at the base of all the… Read more
saucepans. I have found that over the past year or so that the handles are starting to fall apart. The larger pot I generally use for soups and pasta - I also use this on the larger burner of the stove top. I'm always careful when setting the heat, but with the kids now teenagers, and starting to make popcorn and the like, I think may have contributed towards the degredation of that one pots handle. Since we are trying to live more sustainably rather than leave these to landfill, or donating to charity where they may not be sold due to the handles, I've contacted Baccarat to see if I can purchase some replacement handles and knobs. These are a good set of pots, if I found one in as good a condition as I have kept mine in in an op shop, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it to put aside for my own kids. I'm hoping that Baccarat have a green way of thinking too for my replacements bits and pieces.
For the pot set: great value for money – I bought my Baccarat pot set second hand, & its at least 10 years old. The stainless steel is solid & has no warping; they have a thin plate of copper on the base that I only reaslised was there after using an oven cleaner to remove build up; its quite pretty & makes a thick base. The plastic handles have needed tightening with a screwdriver on… Read more
occasion, as do all my other pans with a screw attachment. When one of the knobs of the lid shattered, I took the opportunity to search for a replacement set on eBay & got square shaped ones that look better/ are new/ gave the set a facelift. I found the frypan a bit too oldschool, no ones got time for a stick-pan once they invented Teflon. The saucepans arent light, which I expect of a heavy based set, but theyre not too heavy to lift with one hand, full, either. All in all, I think theyre excellent value for money & clearly last the distance (with a few $'s being spent on eBay to help out)
Useless warranty – Baccarat granite is useless, sold as awesome non stick easy clean and maintenance, comklete opposite and i followed instructions to the letter. Took back to House in Waurn Ponds amd syaff didnt want to know me. Gave me customer care number. Still waiting for reply. Scammers!!!! Do not buy this junk Show details
Frustrating experience with Baccarat Le Connoisseur Grill Pan – Thought I'd spend some money to get a decent grill pan. Seeing this was "french inspired", double coated, easy clean, no seasoning needed, dish washable and supposed to perform better and better after each use, I went for this pan. First of all, the pouring snout was a JOKE. Try pouring the content and see what happens. All the liquid spills from… Read more
the sides for the width of the pan and the snout did nothing. Secondly, hand washed after first use, all was good. Pre hand washed for second use and then into the dishwasher, came out indifferent. All the stuff was well stuck. Tried scrubbing off with nylon as instructed. No avail besides hurting my fingers. After that it just kept collecting more grime and cleaning was getting harder and harder. Yesterday it was about the 4th or 5th time we used it. Food stuck to it like glue and very little came off after intense scrubbing with nylon. It heats fast and gets hot sure but if it's not made to be cleaned it shouldn't be sold as cookware in my opinion. Straight to the bin. Most disappointed. Will not buy any grill pan ever. No matter what they claim to be.
Will never buy the nonstick frypans or grillet again – I purchased the non stick grillet and frying pans 3 years ago. I first purchased the grillet and used it about three times. The food sticks to it. I returned it to House and had to wait ages for the rep to inspect it. In the end he said there was nothing wrong with it. I exchanged the grillet for the set of 2 frypans and again the same issue. I… Read more
didn't return them and like the previous review the egg even stuck to it. The products are made well but unfortunately after the run around from House and the rep never went back.
worked well for me! – I have had these pans for many years now, maybe 17 years or more. They have been hardwearing and my only set which I have used every day cooking for a family. I also never allow the burner flames to extend further than the base and yes I have had to tighten the handles with a screwdriver but that is no problem for me. I have had to purchase… Read more
replacement knobs from House when I have dropped a lid and broken it. I think they have been a very serviceable hard wearing set of pans.
Would not buy again – I bought a set from House and have found that everything sticks to this pan, even trying to fry an egg. I would not recommend them and I wouldn't purchase these again, waste of money.
I love my bacaarat classics – I have had the set of saucepans in the picture above now for 12 years. They have not missed a beat. I don't like the frying pan, as everything sticks if using it to fry with oil or dry fry, though it's great for sautéeing. Admittedly I dropped a saucepan lid and the handle cracked. I took it to a "house" store and they didn't hesitate to arrange… Read more
for a replacement handle.
I would give these saucepans a 11 out of ten for value and hard wearing saucepans. Those who say they are rubbish obviously cook on one temperature. Extreme. They are tough and can withstand a good scrubbing if something is forgotten on the stove and burns. They keep their shine and look, even 12 years on. Frying pan is hard to cook most things in without for catching.
Inductions plates at base of pots warping and falling off...no where to go for warranty as Robins cl – Baccarat iD 6 piece set Bases warp and drop off ( which means you can use on your induction stove ). Have tried to utilize the 'lifetime warranty' and they seems to be non existent. Food sticks to the bottom of the sauce pans, handles get extremely hot...expensive $$$ for a load of rubbish!! Not happy – I am unhappy with the cookware as it was very expensive and I have had handles replaced, they become loose and it is dangerous. The frypan was a total waste of money everything sticks to it. End result is my mother bought a set of saucepans and frypan from Target at 1/3 of the price without any issues would recommend that you don't waste your money buying Baccarat

Cooking with Baccarat on an induction cook top – Some Baccarat pots have an aluminium base which does not allow for induction cook top cooking. It does not state this on the base of the pots/suacepans, it states "Stainless Steel". So you will have to throw out if you have an induction cook top. My large Baccarat stock pot says it is stainless steel, and it actually is, so I can use this on the… Read more
induction cooktop, but my small stainless saucepan and copper based saucepan, I can not use in my cooking heavy base cannot use on induction cooktop
Pans great but NOT the handle knobs and backing plates – I have many Baccarat saucepans and frypans I have bought over the last few years. I have had a problem with the backing plates behind the knob handles. They become brittle and break. Baccarat pans come with a lifetime warranty. Try to make a claim under the warranty and they expect you to pay for the replacements and postage too. Handle knob backing plates become brittle and break. LIFETIME WARRANTY USELESS.
Last time i read the warranty card it stated that the warranty was against manufacturing faults if… Read more (+2 replies)
