NOT for older models – I bought one, didn't work properly. After inquiring allover the place I discovered my old Bamix was just not powerful enough, you should have a 180W+ to use this. I wish it was clearly stated wherever it is sold. UPDATE: after buying a new Bamix I really appreciate this part. Easy to use and to clean. I update my rating.

this little unit kicks some action – I purchased this unit as a small processor as many of the larger ones had a too big container and didn't handle small amounts well. Its great for making marinades, sauces and chopping smaller things fast. It grates and slices better than my kenwood!! I was a bit dubious about the torque that the barmix could achieve with the unit, but was quite amazed at the power it presented, especially grating carrots and beets.

This product is very useful with small things when you can't be assed to get the big unit out or you want a better consistency than with the barmix alone.

Absolutely useless – Opening too small, doesn't chop/grate whole product as it builds up above blade and there is no way to fix this. Really blew my money on this item but the the sales person was good!! Terrific stick blender so hoped this product would be as good but no way. Wish i could get my money back.

Love the Bamix - dislike the SliceSy – It slices thickly or thinly and grates and chops but has quite a small container. I also have a Magimix food processor and would rather use that or the Thermomix for large quantities of grating and chopping. The main thing is dislike about the SliceSy is the small opening - I think it's easier to just use a good knife for small quantities. I love the Bamix itself, best stick blender ever, but wouldn't advise spending money on this expensive attachment. Small, quick. Have to cut a large carrot in half lengthwise!
