Was great for 6 months in the UK. Go to charge 3 things at once using USB ports and all the USB ports cooked it and dont work anymore. Is there a reset button anywhere inside? If I'm still overseas should just chuck it and get something new or worry with taking it back to aldi?

On mine the USB ports stopped working and they don't reset if cause by an overload. I had an iPhone and iPad plugged in overnight and it conked out. Do I just return it to the Aldi store?? or kiss it goodbye..

If you can be bothered - this product has 12 month warranty. If you have receipt that will help, even better if you registered it on Aldi warranty site. But they should accept without receipt (I think by law) within 12 months of purchase. Aldi is the only place that sells Bauhn products so they it would be hard for them to say you didn't buy it from Aldi! (see: external link  where to buy = Aldi)

Will this adapter be ok in Asia. Will it convert the voltage

This device does NOT convert voltage. You may be able to use in countries that have 220v AC power supply (of which there are a few in Asia).

The manual claims the adaptor can be used in Japan which has 100v AC on the mains. At the same time the manual also specify the AC input supported is 240V AC. So will the adaptor works in japan?

I'm not an electrical engineer but based on the limitations of this product I would say NO it will not work in Japan. The product may work but I wouldn't risk it. As the voltage is lower in Japan that usually means the Amps (Current) is higher. If it's designed for 240v and max 720w = 3A, if using on 100v that mean max Amps = 7.2A - the internal wiring might not be designed for this current load. This product is NOT a voltage transformer - if you are using low power devices with international voltage adaptors (like a shaver, laptop charger, mobile phone charger) then it might be OK. I would err on the side of caution, save another $15 - $20 and get a genuine international travel adaptor with voltage regulator if needed.

Thanks bill. I intend to use only the USB ports. But I hear you. It's just a bit cheeky on Bauhn to claim it is useable in japan and the US and then say it only support 240v.. very miss leading
