Long warranty but terrible customer service from Beko – The purchase experience from Appliances Online was great but the drama started after the cooktop was delivered. When the electrician was installing it, he found a missing screw that meant he couldn't secure some cables which meant the installation had to be postponed. I contacted Beko customer care the next day and even though it was a brand new cooktop, they said they would send me the part. I accepted the offer and enquired when the part would be sent and was told it would take 3-5 working days. After waiting 5 working days, I contacted Beko again and was told the Parts department wasn't opened at 8.30am and they would get back to me. I heard nothing and had to follow up again and was informed the part is on backorder and may only be available in 2 weeks. Being a new appliance that hasn't even been used, I requested a manager who only then approved a Return Authorisation. What's the point of providing a 5 year warranty when the customer service leaves such a bad experience that I would never purchase from Beko again.
I took this refund and purchased a Bosch instead!

The worst cooktop ever made in history – I have had everything from cheap brand to top of the range cooktops and this has to be hands down the winner for the worst product ever made. What is most shocking is that it is a Turkish made cooktop and I assumed that like most things made in Turkey it was going to be a very good product. But boy was I wrong. The cooktop takes forever to heat up. But when it does and you go to do something else it turns off on its own. Then you have to come back and turn it on again and again. Sometimes it stays on for the whole time, but it is such a random thing that you never know when it will turn itself off.
The bottom left zone has a double ring for larger pots. When you first turn it on, it goes on full blast but as soon as you place a pot on it it turns off and you have to keep turning it on.
When it doesn't turn off on its own, heating takes forever to get it to the right temp!
Then there are the knobs, plastic and the numbers so small you might as well forget trying to see what they are.
I thought I got a lemon, but the more I look into it the more I realised this product is just a really badly designed stovetop. I purchased it from Appliances online and it cost me $200 to have an electrician come and install it. I wish I kept the old Westinghouse one with one burned ring, at least it was predictable.
