Appalling quality and barely fit for purpose – Objectively the worst cooktop I’ve ever used. Like others have said the hot plates are impossible to clean and rust almost immediately after 1-2 uses, the controls seem to have no impact on the temperate of the plate and is either full heat or 0 - good luck trying to simmer something. Finally as others have mentioned the unit itself becomes… Read more

exceptionally hot during use - enough that you can easily burn yourself touching any part of the metal casing.

Rusting – We put in a Bunnings kitchen in Jan 2021, oven is fantastic but the cooktop isn't so good. The heating up of the elements takes forever, cooling down takes forever. The raised elements are impossible to clean as no matter what type of cleaning cloth is used it is torn to bits by the element. Elements began rusting from the 1st week of use. Show details

Bellini - 2 zone ceramic cook-top - Model BDC302TG - Purchased from Bunnings Chatswood August 2016 – It looks good - perfect for my requirements in a 1 bedroom rental apartment in Sydney - Electrician wired up yesterday - it lights up showing all functions 'appear'to be working but no heat or glow from either element. Quality control????? Electrician disconnected for me to return. I'll try and swap out today and post back to the forum my experience.  Show details

Warning dangerous!!! Absolute rubbish!!!! – Well where do u start..... what a piece of rubbish and a huge danger to users! On numerous occasions it's tripped our circuit breakers in a new house never had a problem with old one doin it so clearly is an issue with internal wiring! Control knobs are useless they have no lock in on any setting can be easily knocked and turned on and also near… Read more

impossible to be completely turned off to 0. Also when the hotplates are on high they get extremely hot taking forever to cool down. The final straw was when my pregnant wife was wiping them over with a damp cloth when then little orange light cover came off and she received an electric shock not once but twice while all hotplates were completely turned off!!! Please buyers beware these are dodgy and I would never buy another Bellini product of any type.

Worst cooktop I have ever used – Where do you start? The knobs are flimsy and will flick on at the merest touch (we have to turn it off at the isolation switch just in case); the numbers have worn off even though they are only ever cleaned gently with a soft cloth; the hotplates take forever to heat up and forever to cool down (very dangerous considering there is no residual heat… Read more

indicator); if you try to use more than one element at a time they both grind to a halt; the temperature is completely inconsistent (either boiling hot or barely warm); the "stainless steel" is discoloured... none of this can be described as misuse, but it can be described as a poor quality product which is badly designed, not energy efficient and not fit for sale. I have cooked with solid hotplates before and not had these problems to this extent.

Flimsy controls, inefficient, potentially dangerous

Bellini BCS604X -1 Junk – We bought this package cook top and oven. Instantly wants to return it to them, Bunnings don't want it, GSM and Bellini don't want them either. They are very protective about this model and keep saying they are up to standard, even sent you a certification paper. Their knobs for each hot plate has no resistance and can turn them on by just a… Read more

gentle touch. All the printings of oven knob are rubbed off in first month of use. Rubber seal of the oven can fall of in the middle of cooking when you checking you baking. It is so hot and unable to put them back on. One time you turn the far right plate on the front left get full bull on. Now you cannot turn them off even the knob is indicated off. When oven timer is off, the oven still cooking no stopping. When you turn the hot plate off, it stay hot for a long time and can still boil a pot of cold water. Think how much electricity had been wasted. It certainly not safe or energy efficient.

This is the product doesn't do what it supposed to do. According to the the consumer law, we all should get refund. They take forever to arrange a repair during warranty period.

They knew it is not a up to standard product therefore they make refund as hard as possible. Once you bought it and installed, it is well passed 7 days cooling period.

Unsafe; Surprised that this cook top and oven passed Australian Standards. Unsafe!!!! Somebody may have to die to wake up Australian Certification body

Cheap as chips – Firstly Im amazed this appliance has passed aust safety standards. In particular the knobs to each hotplate are so easily knocked by a passing hand, cloth etc that we instantly took to switching the stove off at the power supply to prevent a catastrophe. Second the knobs seem to be totally illogically placed, to my mind. The solid hotplates are… Read more

deteriating at a rapid speed, not even 3mths and they look like old ones, even though it is cleaned after each use.

The stainless steel, if it is stainless steel, is absolutely impossible to keep clean. The elements themselves take 5hrs to boil a pot of water even using top quality cookware, and then they take 5hrs to cool down so dont even contemplate simmering a meal. ALl in all we have opted to use our bbq to cook rather than this stove, even putting pots on the bbq as its quicker, cleaner and safer. A big piece of rubbish this Bellini cooktop is.

Have had all the same problems - it's unsafe. I would never buy a Bellini product based on this experience.

Faulty and unsafe – Bought from Bunnings as a package - cook top and oven. From the start we noticed the control knobs had minimal resistance and no detent at the off position. We proved that the hotplates could be turned on by the slightest touch - like cleaning. And boy, you have to do a lot of cleaning! The thing gets so hot in use that the slightest food spill… Read more

immediately bakes on hard. And cleaning using a scourer (which is what is required) compromises the surface so the next lot bakes on worse, and so on. Of course the labels on the top surface disappeared very quickly, making it very difficult for an unfamiliar user to use. The warning indicator (to show the hotplate is on) is very weak and positioned at the back of the cooktop - almost invisible.

This was reported to Bunnings and GSM (importer) as a safety issue. Deafened by their silence. At this point we were already concerned about the safety aspect, but their attitude left us to assume that someone would have to be seriously injured for them to take notice (perhaps).

It only got worse. the door seal started falling off whilst using the oven. Too hot to put back on, just wasting energy while you tried to finish cooking. Oh, and the oven timer doesn't. The oven fan is set to 'jetstream mode'.

Next the cooktop controls started doing weird things. For example, the control for one hotplate started to turn a completely different plate. Defies the laws of physics. There must be some seriously dodgy wiring inside. Then the plates started turning on randomly even though the controls were 'off'. We had to flick the circuit breaker off to stop it wasting electricity. Fortunately, no-one was injured this time either.

Once again, we reported this to Bunnings and GSM (importer). Same result. Repeated calls have failed initiate any positive response, only stonewalling.

I thought under consumer law, we are entitled to a refund as this product does not do what it is supposed to do, and worse, doesn't do it in an extremely unsafe manner.

Terrible – It was part of the package the builder but in the house when we bought it. I have had a mess with all of the appliances since they just shoved in the most rubbish products they could find. 3 of the 4 elements are cracked and are unusable. The cook top is also rusting which is odd since it's supposed to be stainless steel. I have to replace it now… Read more

after using it for only about 3 months. Since it's out of warranty - not even worth fixing.

3 of the elements have cracked. So I can't use it.

Easy to clean and maintain, smooth sleek design, functions well used everyday – Bought from Bunnings Sydney as Cooktop and Oven package deal 2 years ago. Has been a good product with no problems what so ever. I liked the smooth clean lines of the product. Have had none of the problems listed by other reviewers. Knobs are fairly standard design to alot of other electric cooktops and ovens I looked at prior to purchasing the… Read more ·  1

Bellini brand. I only use the correct cleaning products recommended for hotplate and stainless cleaning and my cooktop looks as good as when I first purchased it. I have friends who also purchased the same Bellini combo package as we did and they have not had any problems. I just think Bellini are getting a bum rap for others misuse!! Easy to clean and maintain, smooth sleek design, functions well used everyday. Would have liked a longer warranty but hey it is not a thousand dollar appliance.
