Aldi have their hands in my Cookie Jar – I regularly buy packets of 300g Belmont scotch finger biscuits. I get home open the cookie jar… What the! Why is there so much room in the packet? I could fit 3 more biscuits in there. Belmont Biscuit CO who sell through Aldi have reduced their 300g Scotch Finger pack down to 250g not long after increasing the price when it was 300g pack. Why… Read more

Aldi, Why? How many other products have you done this too?

I have always defended Aldi Australia. I have shopped weekly since you opened in Australia. I was a huge loyal customer. No more! From today, I only buy special priced goods from other brands that are lower than Aldi.

Shrinkflation. They have changed to poor quality – In the last 12 months the overall size of the has shrunk and the biscuit thickness has halved.they used to be a good competitor fro Arnotts mint slice but now they are a former shadow of themselves and not even close to even woolworths mint slice. Don't bother with them anymore...they aren't the same. Show details

Taste and texture nearly nailed – For the price, the taste, the texture and overall impartial taste test, these are SO close to the real version. 97% is close enough for me. It’s $1.59 at Aldi, not a massive outlay for a mock version. Show details

The other two reviews are wrong – Yes they are not as good as Mint Slice but they taste pretty good. The other two reviewers are obviously biscuit snobs who have probably never tasted the delights of six month old army ration pack biscuits. Show details

Worst biscuits ever – Made the mistake of buying Aldi "Belmont" Mint Creme Biscuits. Nothing "creme" about them, barely taste the mint, and the biscuit itself was constructed from concrete, at least that's what it felt like I was eating. Tried two, threw the rest in the bin. Won't make that mistake again. Show details

Aldi's Belmont Chocolate Mint Cremes disappoint – The biscuits are trying to emulate Arnotts Mint cream biscuits but fail. They taste similar but poor production quality and ingredients are obvious. They are a hard biscuit and lack good texture, won't buy again.
