I have had a magnetic woolrest underlay for many years and has worked well but just recently I have been waking up with extreme back pain, would this be due to the magnets not working any more. Many thanks Hazel

Have had my underlay for about 10 years and love it. When should it be replaced?

Hello Nellie - The magnets in your underlay will last a lifetime. Other components like the cotton or wool however will undergo normal ageing from wear and tear. I would suggest that if the materials look like they are nearing the end of their life - and you will be the best judge of that - it may be time to consider replacement.

Hope that helps.

I have just had an aneurysm in my brain clipped with titanium clip and I want to know if I can sleep safely on my underlay? I have removed it from my bed as I am unsure. I got my underlay as I was suffering extreme hip pain, The underlay took this away and allowed me to sleep pain free, the pain has returned since not using the underlay so I am keen to put it back on my bed if possible.

Glad to hear we helped you achieve some positive results with your hip, we have many clients including myself with lot of titanium though out their bodies, including clips & stints. So these are not a problem at all, what I would suggest is to remove the magnetic pillow protector for now, place the U/L back on to the bed so we can target the inflammation in your hip area & with hope have you back sleeping better & pain free again.

However, an aneurysm on the brain is not your run of the mill pin, plate or stint. We would prefer to inform your doctor that you have been using the natural BioMagnetic underlay with success, have removed it & would like to continue to use it again to assist your hip pain & insomnia.

Once he or she gives you the all clear, you will be good to go.

Thanks for asking the question, let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

Mine are all clumped together as well now...only had it maybe 4 or 5 years. Apart from cutting holes and sewing it back together, I have no idea : (

I will probably be laughed at but here goes. Is the underlay used wool side up or wool side down?

Hi, Julie Our sincere apologies for taking so long to respond to this. The person in charged left the company and neglected to hand the job over to anyone. We will be responding to any comments promptly from here on out :) In answer to your question - which you've probably already worked out - is to have the wool side facing up. Please don't hesitate to ask any further questions, if you have them. Kind regards The Natural team.

Again, apologies for the very tardy response. JANINE, we're wondering whether your mother is still getting hot at night while sleeping on the underlay. And, yes, it does happen that way with some people. Others experience tingling or other minor sensations. This kind of response can be more noticeable at the beginning - and is an indication that the magnets are having the deisired response of helping to increase the peripheral circulation. If you'd like more information, please don't hesitate to email us.

MARIO, there have been quite a few case studies done with magnetic therapy and diabetes. Again, it's to do with circulation. Although the jury is still out in the scientific community, many swear by its help. Of course, magnetic therapy is definitely not a cure and your condition would still have to be managed carefully, but we've had many people write in to us saying that it has helped as an adjunctive therapy. I hope this comes close to answering your question.

Wishing you the best of health The Natural Team
