The kids, now 4&7 still use it everyday. The books are their favourite.

It arrived promptly and in great secure packaging that I can use again to store it. The kids (2yrs,&5yrs old) immediately understood how it works. The set up was straight forward and there was a sheet of simple instructions to help with the process. The seeds are compact and easy to hold. The sounds quality is great. It goes from very quiet (great for when they’re using it. Quiet time for sleeping) to very loud. There speaker itself is easily carried around by my 2yr old. The kids didn’t ask to watch telly all week because they could wake up first thing and go listen to the Birde all by themselves. My 5yr old loves to listen to it while she colours in. likes it. It’s perfect for giving her independence.

And for myself, I like that I can just grab a disc and tap it to the player, instead of having to find my phone, open an ap, find a playlist, connect to Bluetooth device…. I’m sick of being attached to my phone and liked the tap and play feature.

It would be annoying if the discs get lost, but at least you CAN connect your phone to it and use their app to play any songs you’ve purchased on the speaker, if you lose the discs.

I think getting the charging dock is worth it cos it gives it a “home” and you don’t ever have to think about charging it.

Ours got covered in pasta sauce on day one and I can report it actually is washable :)

It would be better if the power button was bigger so my toddler could turn it on herself, but she’ll probably grow into being able to figure that part out soon too.

how much my son would LOVE it haha.

I bought it immediately with 3 additional ‘seeds’ for his birthday the following month. I was too excited to wait so I gave it to him early and oh my, I knew he’d love it but I didn’t realize HOW much. He carries it everywhere with him. He insists on playing the Lion King audiobook every morning with his breakfast, and he has become so familiar with tapping all his different ‘seeds’. What I absolutely love about the Birde is he is in control. Instead of asking me constantly to listen to his songs and shows he can independently go to listen at his leisure.

I cannot speak highly enough of this device, my only regret is I didn’t get it sooner. No longer do I need to ask google to play the hungry catepillar over and over and over (and over! Haha)

Whenever a family member or friend asks what they can get him for a gift I will always say a giftcard or a couple ‘seeds’ for his Birde.

There's something so special about watching them engage with physical books while the Birde guides them through the story - it feels far more educational and meaningful than just passive listening.

The tap-and-play seeds are brilliant - my kids find them so intuitive, and they're impressively durable. We've had our fair share of drops and tumbles, and everything still works perfectly!

The size and design are spot-on for little hands - it's lightweight and easy for young children to hold without worrying about them dropping it. You can tell it was made with kids in mind.

Incredible Tool for Kids – Absolutely love our birde player! My five year old uses it most nights before bed and often during the day as well while he plays. Awesome screen-free device for kids – We've had the Birde for about 5 years. Our first one stopped working at the start of this year so I've purchased a replacement player since. year-old and 5 year-old love using it, the younger one loves the independence of choosing his seeds to tap and listen to songs. The older ones loves listening to the audio books/stories now. It's definitely a device that can grow with your child. The only downside is that there's no Bluetooth to connect to headphones, so it's great to use at home but maybe not as much for travelling or use in public settings.

Hasn’t arrived – I bought over a month ago, and Birde was advertised as to be sent on the 25th of July. When it came to the 25th of July they pushed it back to the August. actually going to receive the product I bought. Despite never actually sending the product to me, they sent me an email asking me to write a review - so here is my review. Yoto has just been released in Australia and I wish I’d bought it instead. At least it would actually turn up.

Best purchase – We love our Birde so much so we just bought a 2nd one we have 3 girls (a 4th baby on the way) ranging from 7 years to 1.5 and the all love listening to their Birde. With out a doubt one of my top purchases in my almost 8 years of parenting. Also great customer service. We love our Birde Player! – Our Birde player is loved by both my 7 and 2.5 year old. We gifted it to our older son when he was 5 and even though he is a proficient reader, he still loves playing stories and songs while he is drawing or building Lego. It’s user friendly, there a lots of fun seeds, and we love that it’s a screen free activity for our kid’s to chill out with. I also want to make a special mention to Birde’s customer service, because it is exceptional!

LOVE LOVE LOVE! – My boys love their birde….it gets used everyday. It’s great for quiet time, dancing and “party” time. My twins love their Birde – I bought this music player for my twins for Christmas when they were 14 months old. Well made and easy to use – We’ve had our Birde since my boys were one so four years. It’s now being used by my almost two year old who loves all the songs and stories, playing them on repeat. Such a great device that is allowing screen free entertainment and autonomy for young kids as it is so easy to use!

Son won't let it out of his sight – Our 3 year old likes to make his own choices, but as parents we are reluctant to give him unrestricted control over the TV or iPad. The Birde has been perfect for giving him control over what he listens to, but within boundaries that we know and are comfortable with. Since he got it, he has carried it everywhere with him! It brings us joy to see him engaging and learning, without sitting like a zombie in front of cartoons.

We love our birdie – We love our birdie to listen to music but unfortunately it does not ever work with the tv to watch the Birdie shows. It starts and then doesn’t continue :(

Fun for all ages – My youngest worked out how to change the songs/stories at 9months. She absolutely loves it. My 2.5year old loves the stories and the Birde has helped at rest time.

it was faulty, customer service were lovely and prompt and had us organised with a replacement in no time. The replacement hasn't skipped a beat! The only downside is the seeds often go missing, they're small and being carried around by toddlers means we are often left searching for our favourites. I've tried different methods of keeping them together but haven't yet found a workable solution. The new app is great, only thing I'm missing is being able to set a volume limit. The old app had it and it was great to be able to cap the volume. I'd like if this came back.

A game changer – This little device is heaven sent! We use it in the early hours for quiet listening, in lieu of nap time (and instead of TV time!) and also in the afternoon to dance and sing. there's no way a child can access screen time without the parent's control, but they have full accessibility of the music seeds and books! It keeps my boy away from tv. -there's lots of Australian talent featured, so the accents are right for us. Love everything about Birde. So does my son who is 4
