Booked a taxi for 5.30 am to take my husband to the hospital for surgery. It didn't turn up and we were told they had no taxis in the area! What's the point of booking?

Follow-up  · The hospital is about 10 minutes away by car so, obviously, not a worthwhile taxi ride! No, certainly not busy at 5.30 am. We rang a friend as didn't want to rely on another taxi.

Probably the worst experiences I've even had. Took me a long way despite my attempts to redirect him. Then, when we closer to my destination he asked me to guide him. Really? Eventually took wrong turn, so asked him to drop me off as I didn't want to pay extra for the trip which is already taking far too long. Ended up waking for half a kilometre. Never again I will use taxi service !

Total rip-off. Cost $512 for 6 people to go Brisbane airport from Mooloolaba. Uber XL was $250 but we couldn’t fit all our luggage so we booked a maxi taxi. Should have booked two Uber XL’s for still less than the cab company. Why they don’t wake up and see why people hate taxis simply amazes me. I couldn’t even use their app to book and I had to speak to a robot that couldn’t understand my Queensland accent. Show details

Black and white cab Angry Rude Taxi Driver – We loaded up the van with 8 large bags at domestic airport going to international airport. The driver could not stop swearing at us all the way and complained how he was waiting 2 hours just to go to international airport. It wasn't even busy. Get another job if you don't like small fares your choice. Still get money out of it.

Very Bad drivers at Black & White Taxi – This is how a BLACK & WHITE Taxi driver parked in front of Prince Charles Hospital BRISBANE. He refused to move the car back a little bit on the grounds that it is only a taxi parking lot (not true). It is true that "civilians" are not allowed to "park" there, but they are allowed to "stand" for 20 minutes to pick up sick relatives. SHAME of you BLACK & WHITE Taxi. (The license plate it's there you can have a word with your driver).

Cab B2323 was in a queue at the airport and we were directed to that cab. We were travelling to a northern suburb, with a fare coming to just under $30. When we got in the cab, the driver said- I waited in line for 2 hours and you’re picking up a… Read more

car, what a waste of time, you’re picking up a car, how can you people live with yourselves. We didn’t chose this cab. We were directed to it by an airport employee. Next time we will refuse to get in black and white, even if at the airport, and certainly won’t recommend it to anyone.

Follow-up  · Never heard from Black & White. Obviously no one cares. The reviews are so bad that they must be getting complaints constantly. I would never use it again.

Booked a B&W taxi ( so that there would be no guess work or early morning problematic stuff-ups) a few days before our important day’s appointment. OUR IMPORTANT APPOINTMENT. Got up at 430am for a scheduled and (booked), pick up at 520. NO SHOW!… Read more

LEFT US HANGING! NEVER AGAIN. I called the number 3times more stressed than the time before - AI Voice recognised my number and stated each time they are looking into it, then said press one for the next available cab, press two to Rebook or three to Cancel - I Cancelled after the 30mins no show, instead calling an Uber for the first time. Uber rocked up in 8 reliable minutes. I’m so so unhappy with this let down- you have no idea. So thats two Cab companies now that I will never use. The Black and White, as well as the Orange and Black.

Follow-up  · My Uber experience remains soothing for the stress associated with the moment, as caused by B&W Cabs by reneging on our booked-agreement to arrive for our EXTREMELY IMPORTANT early a.m. pick up- which is their their Day to Day expectation. Turns out, that Uber was less than, yep less than HALF B&W Cabs fee. Never again Maxi, and B&W Cabs.

No idea what the whingers are on about!!! Our cab arrived exactly on time and was the cleanest cab I've ever been in. The drivers was polite, drove sensibly and the cost was exactly as indicated when booked online. The driver loaded and unloaded our luggage for us. Will definitely use Black & White again. Naji Ata is a hero – Naji Ata saved me and my best friend while we were on the side of the road and a man was following us, he pulled over and asked if we were alright when we most needed help. Give this bloke a pay rise he is a hero. He beat the police to us.

I will never use Black and White cabs again! My husband and I caught a cab from the airport to our hotel in Coolangatta. We did not take note of the cab company or taxi number. On arrival the driver told us that he was not allowed to get out of the taxi, leaving me to get our bags out of the boot as my 77year old husband was recovering from… Read more

surgery. In the rush to get out of the cab my husband left his small bag containing vital medical equipment in the back seat of the cab. We called 13cabs and Black and White cabs to try to find out which cab we had taken. 13cabs was available by phone and very helpful. Black and White Cabs could not be contacted unless you were booking a cab. I could not speak to a human being. 2 frustrating days later, after a trip to the airport and check of CCTV verified the cab company and driver # 43 and we filed a police report, I called the office when it opened and located the driver and the bag. He had not contacted the company to say he had the bag, even after a WhatsApp message was posted to drivers asking about the missing bag.(Thank you to the helpful driver who did this for us) The only bright spot in this whole experience was the helpfulness of Trini on their front desk- she did her best to locate the driver and get the bag back to us. Lesson learnt, always take an Uber!

A sign at the airport warns about taking unauthorised cabs. I picked up a Black and White cab at the "authorised" rank, got home and the bill was almost double the price of the DiDi I caught to the airport. The driver told me my card "did not work" and I went inside the house to scratch up enough cash (plus a tip) which I gave to the driver. A… Read more

couple of days later I noticed a debit on my credit card from B and W cabs. They had charged me twice. I rang them and after they made the preposterous claim that they could not identify the driver, they eventually agreed (verbally) to refund the second charge. Needless to say nothing happened. This is a rogue industry and the sign at the airport should read "DO NOT TAKE A TAXI" full stop. If you are forced to take a cab, do not under any circumstances give them access to your credit card.

Mixed experience with these cabs. Some have been good, but their booking service is dodgy. Waited 45mins yesterday for a cab to turn up after booking online. phone to find out what was happening only to see two messages about the ? driver cancelling the trip. I don't have my phone permanently attached to my eyes. I've just started using taxi and public transport more in Brisbane as can no longer drive for medical reasons or going to eye doctor regularly. When I then walked to Westfield Upper Mt Gravatt I was ordered off the bus after the taxi failure and was told that it was a long way round trip to where I wanted to go. I had attempted to get to the audiologist by bus, but the second connecting bus left early or didn't turn up. So I had to get a taxi from Mountain view Plaza. So in one day I had been let down by buses x 2 and a taxi. Eventually got a taxi at the Westfield rank. Now have to get three buses to go a few kms to see my GP. Same with eye doctor. If buses don't connect which is not unusual you are screwed. My experience in Brisbane is if you have to use more than one bus to get to an appointment or book a taxi with black and white taxis, DONT! Best bet to get to an appointment is Uber or similar. Though I'm 72 and use a rollator I don't qualify for any assistance with travel and find using buses or taxis very unreliable.

Terrible service. Booked 2 Black and White Cabs for a certain time, they even rang me to confirm my boking which I thought was fantastic and made me feel like everything was confirmed. No cabs turned up. Can't call to check where they are, only an automated response if I want to cancel.

Price gouging at its best. DO NOT GET IN A TAXI AT BRISBANE AIRPORT. Stay right away from Black and White cabs. They charge on average 30-40% more to Uber (or other share ride services - like Didi). They also ignore and dismiss claims of incorrect metering / charges, they just dont care. I am 100% sure that they have cabs operate with tampered… Read more

I lined up in the valley our the front of RGs as there was only 2 people in line. Uber was $16 with surge pricing so figured a taxi would be the same as they don't have surge pricing. First driver said he's meter isn't working and will be $25 to go to kangaroo Point (2km drive). So I left and the guy in charge of the line apologised and got me… Read more

another driver who then said the same [Content Removed] that his meter not working and can't use it and wants $25 up front so I hopped out and complained again. The guy in charge of the line apologised and got me another driver he promised would use the meter. Dude dropped me off 1 block away from my house, charged $27 with no meter and then demanded a tip. It upsets me we can't give zero stars and get a refund for blatant breaches of the law. Why even pay people to control a line when they do nothing when the drivers blatantly break the law and openly try to rip off their clients

Thieving scum. $90.00 for an 18 km trip in Sydney in normal traffic on a Saturday afternoon (Uber TO destination earlier in the day was $50.00 and previous return trips in a different cab company were $60.00) - inclusive of a “service fee” and GST on the “service fee”. I've had to use Black & White Cabs many times over the last few years, and now jump through hoops to avoid using them, despite having a taxi card. abominable - one taxi driver I had to tell to stop cos he'd taken off so quick and fast, I was unable to buckle my seatbelt. He was also rude and disrespectful. Another had no understanding of disability, and had to ask that he move the cab away from directly against the kerb so I could get in. He then started the meter when he moved the cab, before I got in (they can't do that). He then berated me for having to get in and out of the cab so many times. When I queried him about disability training, his response was "I've been doing this job for 30 years". I did make a formal complaint for that ride.

Worse cab company in Perth – I've experienced less scamming and much better service from overseas cab companies where scamming is essentially how they make their living... A fixed fee internet booking with this company is not what it says it is. $39 ended up being $89 and their management are useless at dealing with complaints. They basically acknowledge their error and offer a paltry reimbursement, and defend their drivers. Their website booking app is deliberately vague.

No excuse for the management's disgraceful behaviour – Disgusting the way they don't turn up even when booked early. This causes great stress and cost to the customer, through missed appointments and ruined outings. This is unnecessary and ridiculous in this computerised age. No wonder new companies are taking over, especially for wheelchair taxis.

arrival time could be provided let alone confirmed. 3 hours later - still nothing. This is an absolute disgrace, and it ruined my mothers birthday outing. We are absolutely disgusted and if I could give a zero rating I would. I will be making this a formal complaint and will provide B&W cabs with all of the details they need. In short though my message to the company is DO NOT make a booking if you are unable to provide the service. Its hard enough to get our mum out and about but this will make it just that much harder. To any prospective users do not trust a booking to be any sort of guarantee that the service will be provided.

Wow, what a bunch of morons! – Wow, what a bunch of morons! I pre-booked a taxi at 10:04am for a specific 11:18am pick-up, to make an appointment that was about a 6 minute drive away which I needed to be there by 11:38am, so basically giving myself an ample 14 minute buffer/wait time once I would arrive at the desired location. whenever the hell you want to, like ten minutes early, and then ditch the customer because they are not promptly waiting at 11:08 instead of 11:18. I went out four minutes early (that’s 11:14, cos you’re obviously crap at telling the time) to wait for the 11:18 scheduled pick-up in vain, as it had already abandoned me six minutes previously. When I rang to complain, I was met with total indifference and disinterest in your company’s stupidity having just screwed me over, and then they had the temerity to ask if I wanted to order another taxi, I’m assuming so it could show up 18 hours late. Needless to say, I missed my appointment. I suggest you get your drooling, knuckle-dragging, brain-dead drivers to watch “Play School” on ABC2 where they will be taught how to tell the time… but no, you’d rather screw over your customers as you happily wave goodbye to money that was meant for you and watch it go to your competitors instead. Make sure you give yourselves massive bonuses as a reward for your blatant stupidity and ineffectual business practices. Again, wow, what a bunch of morons! No wonder your google rating is so pathetically low.
