Major failure - What a short life! – This Dustbuster seemed like a handy size and worked well ... for a while. Then it just stopped. Ideally, you would like to wear these vacuum cleaners out from all of the good use that you get out of them. Changing the batteries shouldn't be such a big deal. Aren't we trying to reduce waste?

Ripper Little Machine – This thing is the ducks guts.(mine is the PV1410 XE 14.4v) .. It is well built, sucks well, and is easy to clean... Once you know how to clean it that is. Not only do you need to empty the clear chamber, but there is an internal fine filter that needs regular cleaning. If you keep up with that, this thing will keep delivering. Its very handy, and the cordless charging station is so easy to use. Its a marked improvement on the old dustbusters.

Too soon dead – Never really happy with the length of time vac held charge although worked well initially. Died completely after 9 months use. Unable to access warranty as it was a gift. Was willing to have it repaired as it was reasonably expensive for a car vacc but Black and Decker do not repair small vacs.

Worked well but short life battery – Initially very happy with the vac operation however in less than 2 years the battery wouldn't recharge much which meant only a minute or so of poor suction. Thought I had finally found a great dustbuster (I bought 2, 1 as a gift) but now disappointed. Thought I would get more than 2 years of use. Back to the drawing board.

Good Design But Bad Battery – Took this dustbuster because of ease of handling and operation. Good suction but battery stopped picking charge after four months. Returned and took a new one same model because I loved its design and ease of dusting with it but to my disappointment battery has stopped picking charge after 15 days. Vacuum area is not that large with small carpet and other little places to dust but nothing out of normal. Good design suction but battery is a loser. Not going for this one now.
