A beautiful budget priced 5 1/2 cfm air compressor. I've had my BlackRidge for 11 years and it keeps going and going. Today is my last day I've used it and I've purchased a new ITM 12 cfm unit. Not sure what the new units are like but mine was outstanding. Show details
Awful compressor , was good for around 4 months then eversince been a dog to get to start , changed a few things on the electric motor but didnt help , ive only used it in a backyard shed as well so hasnt been used hard , will never buy blackridge again Show details
Do not purchase these units if you are looking for back-up service. Ours is just out of warranty and a head gasket blew yesterday. Supercheap do not stock the gasket and it looks as if I will be forced to make a gasket myself. There is NO after sales support. Show details
No back-up service – Worked great for a year or so (of light occasional usage). Then the non-return valve failed and I cant get the correct replacement at all - eventually managed to contact Black Ridge specified help onlt to be told the dont stock it. Now just useless junk. Manufacturers should be prepared with spare parts. Show details

Now I always lift the back of the unit when releasing the last bit of pressure. Seems some water can pool in the tank when the unit… Read more
is level, so always tip it up while venting to make sure all the moisture gets out, or else your tank will rust out in a few years. I may have a badly made or faulty unit, I am not sure.
I tried to review it at SuperCheapAuto website, but as usual when you submit a negative review there, I got a "Something went wrong. Please try again later." message. They don't allow negative reviews.
Asked them to replace this compressor since it's less than a year old, and the answer was No, I… Read more

Update: They did call back to say they have the parts, several months later. Meanwhile I made a bypass and am able to continue using the compressor.
