I have being enjoying Aldi chilli chips for quite some time so a review is appropriate. Firstly there is five grams more in a packet than Kettle, secondly the taste is far superior to Kettle and important they are half the price. Being a chilli lover it could do with more chilli; however they are too spicy for some of my friends. I’m unable to comprehend the low reviews, I can sincerely say “These are the best tasting, low price chips I have ever tasted” unlike Kettle most if not all the chips are whole and not crushed like Kettles chips.

Purchased in at ALDI for $2.75.

EDIT: NEVER buying again (see end). They massively reduced the amount of flavouring. Won't be trying again for another year- and after that, NEVER AGAIN if Aldi doesn't RESTORE the flavour. Both me and my partner SEPARATELY noticed the lack of flavour on both the CHILLI and the THAI CHILLI AND LIME. Haven't got the chips for a few months because of new location, and the change is OBVIOUS. Aldi must think customers are dumb. No - we NOTICE. The chilli in particular used to have a mild pleasant burn. DEFINITELY not there. No point bothering. UPDATE: I forgot and stupidly tried these again (Jan 7 2026). They were so flavourless I literally came here to write a review! It's been 10 months and no improvement. SO: NEVER BUYING AGAIN!

Disappointed – Have been Aldi customer for a long time, buying this product. Was very good value when compared to "Kettle"Chilli chips sold at other supermarkets. For 10 dollars I would pick 3 as they were 2.99 each and 200g net. On friday I bought again ,the price was same ie 2.99 but,the weight is now 175g net!!. Aldi advertise that they are the cheapest ,maybe but if the product is less then thats not really true especially when its hard to notice the change in the fixed net product weight which is a very small number at right hand lower corner of the packaging. My disappointment with Aldi is why didnt they honestly tell the customers that the price needs to rise but keep the package at 200g still.Stealthily decreasing the content and yet keeping the same price is sort of cheating! I noticed it but what about older customers who dont see or look? This sort of retail ,I am calling it sort of "fraud" should be illegal and ACCC should look into this.Being honest upfront is the best policy. Unfortunately I did not keep the receipt as I never have issues with Aldi pricing, generally they are cheaper than the other big name supermarkets.
