Boral Questions & Answers
Has anyone had an issue with Boral Montana - swiss pattern fully glazed roof tiles? Manufactred 1989. Mine are crumbling.
I've read of people having problems with various models of Boral roof tiles over time. I've had problems with Boral concrete. Their customer service is non-existent. Once they get your money they don't care. Just like QANTAS really. Read the many poor reviews on any Boral product. Whenever I need concrete, I always clarify with the concreter/s that it is not Boral they are using / supplying. I'll never buy Boral products ever again.
THIS IS 100% ACCURATE. NEVER TOUCH ANY BORAL PRODUCTS WITH A 10 FOOT POLE. IT'S OWNED BY KERRY STOKES AND HIS SON.
I am planning to go with boral expresso bricks for my new house. Can anyone suggest or give some insights on the same?
I would get the equivalent from Austral. Most builders use both.
We had a whole house done with Boral bricks. However, the "brickie" rejected 6 pallets of bricks because of cracks and faults. This held up the building while replacements were sent. I am not a fan of Boral products anymore particularly after the roof tile cappings lost all the mortar and the roof leaked with water entering the lounge room.
Don't use Boral for au products they are a terrible company We had bricks and gyprock supply and fit both had many issue and we ended up thousands out of pocket fixing their stuff ups They will not assist in faulty products or bad tradesmen they employ
Choose another company as they will stuff up everything the produce and won’t stand by the product
DO NOT USE BORAL PAVERS. i can send you a picture of mine. Bought in two different batches. The second batch mixed with first both laid at same time on same substrait in same place in same weather conditions. Batch 1 started crumbling 3 yes 3 weeks after laying and are only 20ml thick now not 40ml. Batch 2 still like new. Still 40ml thick. Batch 1 are disintegrating. Boral GM said it is due to salt. But if one paver disintegrates why not the other right next to it. Full of .....it. if the GM cannot see the blatant failure of the product then he should not be GM. He sat there and told me the pavers were faulty and the batch was made without a certain preventitive in. I would really love for everyone buying pavers to see the mess i am left with.
I have boral pavers one side of house and tudor pavers the other. Tudor pavers are still like new. Same weather conditions same everything.
They should not be permitted to get away with this.
I will never buy anything from Boral ever again. Boral supplied the concrete around our house. It was cracking as it was being poured and as the Concreters were screeding it. They had to rescreed areas continuously so now patches of the concrete look like oil slicks because it's been over screeded.
23 cracks in total. Some are up to 1.5 metres long and definitely not hairline cracks.
There was supposed to be colour in the mix (Ironstone). Boral definitely skimped there. It was pale grey in colour.
The wife was physically in tears. We had paid $17K for crap. It looks no different to the 40 year old concrete we had before.
The Concreter tried twice to get a Boral rep to attend site. No luck at all.
I've since been told by a Concreter with 20+ years in the industry why my concrete paths cracked.
Boral use dolomite in their mix instead of sand. WHY?? Because it is cheaper and they make more profit.
I emailed a number of Boral staff including their Head Office and their CEO. No reply. So I emailed them all again. This time most had blocked me, including Boral's CEO.. The rest never replied.
Look and read Boral's reviews. There are a lot of low scores for a reason.
NEVER BUY BORAL.
I agree 100%. Awful company. Awful product. NEVER BUY BORAL.
