So far so good; it did the boat – Does a good job and seems robust. You can buy either the pre-punched sandpaper that is affixed by velcro or you can clip in the sheet having cut it from a normal-sized sheet of sandpaper. Disappointed no perforating tool – Same issue. I bought this one which was more expensive than some others because it appeared I could use ordinary sheet sanding paper and opened the box and read the instructions which said I needed a perforating tool. I was disappointed that there was no perforating tool and I don't know where to get one from.

Be aware! – The box states that the sander can be used with "conventional sanding paper". When I opened the box there wasn't a perforating tool to punch holes in the sandpaper. One is shown in the instructions, but only when you read the fine print of the instructions [which are inside the box naturally] do you discover that the plate is an optional extra [at $13]. For me, conventional sanding paper is off the roll, not the expensive pre-punched paper! Fortunately the perforating plate from my old sander matches the holes in the Bosch, otherwise I would have returned the Bosch and bought another brand. Bosch need to either state on the box that does not contain a plate, or state that the sander is for use with pre-perforated paper! I have only selected an "average" rating because I have not yet used the sander
Disregard the above comment! I was looking at the supplied paper which is probably the velcro style. Also I did not return the sander because I discovered that my perforating plate from my last sander fits!

.... and even though it is listed as a 1/3 sheet sander you may well find that "off the shelf" paper is too long for this unit!
