Bravecto Chew for Dogs

My dog has been on Bravecto Chews for 10 years. These chews are half the size of the ones I got from the vet. They work the same. I can't say for sure but I believe that these don't have stuff in it that is not really needed. My vet is offering a once a year shot. I don't trust it. If it's not broke don't fix it. You just have to decide for… Read more
yourself what is best for your pet. You are with it every day. The vet sees them once a year if they don't get sick. Who knows them best?
I have six dogs and based on my Vet recommendation have been giving them Bravecto for nine months now, the flea problem has been out of control and gotten worse over the months. I keep bringing it up with the vet and they kept saying Bravecto is the best out there and that it’s just a bad flea season. I finally got fed up and decided to try… Read more
something else, I put my dogs on Simparica trio 24 hours ago. I have been combing through all my dogs with a flea comb every morning and every night for the last nine months trying to solve this problem and getting fleas off of them every time, tonight I got home and combed through them all and only found one dead flea on all six. I am so mad, Six dogs one of them 150 pounds and I have spent close to $2500 on Bravecto in the last nine months do not try this product it is a waste of money and time, seriously go with Simparica trio like I said before it worked within 24 hours!!!!
Purchased a 12 x month supply (4 chews) for only $130 as opposed to $352 from our vet. They arrive in one week as suggested. Dog not too keen on the chewable but got through with some help. Show details

Disappointed – I am very disappointed that something has changed with this product, my dogs use to love the flavor and now they refuse to eat it even when trying to disguise it. For $90. Every 3 months for each dog year round as we are in the bush it is very expensive product to buy that they won't take. I will be looking for something different going forward in the future. Flea infestation – 6 weeks after giving my dog the bravecto chew she is still infested with fleas. I just got off the phone with the company and they said if she is still infested after 12 weeks then call them and that their product does not repel fleas. They're only suggestions were to give her a flea bath and treat the yard which I have already done. Being… Read more
disabled and on a fixed income I had to save just to pay the $45 for this chew. Now they tell me my dog has to be miserable and covered in sores from scratching for another 6 weeks before they'll even think about doing anything.
Do not use – My 4 legged Family member was given Bravecto for dogs & had a seizure within 2 days of taking it!! DO NOT GIVE YOUR FUR BABIES BRAVECTO OR ANY OTHER CHEWABLE...READ THE SAD STORIES ABOUT THE DEATHS & SEVERE SIDE EFFECTS OF BRAVECTO ON OTHER PEOPLE'S FUR BABIES!!
Absaloutley rubbish! Brought for tick prevention – Doesn't work. Dog is still getting ticks. Despite my best efforts using this medicine and having our yard sprayed. Nothing seems to work. Going to have to change now unhappy. Show details

Finally something that works!! – I have two boxer dogs and my Red Boxer has had so many troubles with allergies, spends his life in bushes! And was forever picking to mange and ear mites and I couldn't find anything to keep this at bay, until now! It got so bad that when giving either of them a cuddle I'd come out in a little rash which went quickly but front line and other… Read more
products just didnt work, it was never fleas but mange/mites. I was given this from my vet and I'd say immediate response! Within 2 weeks whatever east bothering them (and me) vanished. Could not recommend this product more and will buy again. Thank u!!
Excellent product. Using for 5+ years on my two Border Collies – Both dogs no issue eating the tablet. No side effect. Never ever had fleas or ticks and frequently take dogs out bush camping and to beach. Been using since puppies, 5+ years. Show details

DO NOT PURCHASE – The worst product on the market. Very costly for it not to work. Never had issues with Nexgard. Wish I could give it zero starts which is what ut deserves Show details
Dog won't touch it now – 65 lb German Shepherd never ate it unless mixed heavily with beef or chicken in the food processor. Now is to the point where she won't touch it. Too pricey! Show details

This is Rediculous – This is as good as flea shampoo. Which the shampoo would be extremely cheaper. I gave my dog another month thinking it takes at least 30 + days. For it to get in his system to stop scratching and the fleas to be gone. The fleas are just crawling in him. He still scratches from day one. I do not know what is stronger but I do know this is a… Read more
waste. He is too skin sensitive for the Frontline topical. What can I do. This is rediculous. I have too many cats and fur for him to share the fleas.

Dont waste your money – I purchased from my vet 3 different Bravecto for all 3 of my dogs which are different breeds & weight. I spent close to $400 & I feel totally ripped off, all 3 are scratching like crazy & I checked they still have flees. Now I have to find another med & pay more to get these flees off my animals. Totally not a happy camper at all. Show details
Beware!!! Causes seizures – Gave our 2 yr old Boston Terrier a Bravecto chew for fleas and ticks. . A couple months later he started having seizures. Vet agreed it was probably the Bravecto that caused him to start seizing. He has had multiple seizures since then and it has cost us thousands of dollars in vet trips/medications/tests since then. If you love your dog please DO NOT give them Bravecto!!! Show details
Feel ripped off – I will not buy this high priced medicine for my 3 dogs again. I really feel their advertisements are fraud. I have found living sucking blood ticks on my dogs around the second month more than once. It states it's good for 3 months but that's not true. I have been using this product for awhile now and not only do I look for the best preventative… Read more
when shopping but you have to figure price in the equation too. If you take the price and divide it by 2 months instead of 3 it makes your monthly dosage cost higher. I am switching to simparica. I live in the south and we have lots of woods and my dogs are outside dogs. Don't be fooled into purchasing this product and it lasting for 3 months. I was using the chew.
Complete misery! – If I could give a 0 for this product, I would for sure! Shame on you Bravecto for such a poor product. I don't know if it was a bad batch or whether the recipe has decreased in potency as I've used Bravecto before with much success. Tons of fleas after use like I didn't even give it to them. Scratching, scratching, scratching! Misery loves company… Read more
and all of us,2 and 4 legged are miserable! 4 bowls of Dawn infused water full of fleas that I've taken off my dogs!
Throw up – We live out in the country with a lot of ticks, so unfortunately the only think that works for ticks is Bravecto. But I am always so scared to give it to them. We have 3 dogs, and 2 of them always throw up after they get it. 5 minutes and they’re throwing up. I wish bravecto would study their ingredients more. Show details
Struggle to give – We have a Pembroke Welch Corgi. Breveto does work for her. But we have a chop it to powder and mix it with a bit of our food. This is not an easy task because the tablets are a gummy texture. In this day and time the manufacturer should be able to improve the taste. Show details
Horrible – This killed my dog I started giving her bravecto and she started panting and pacing I bring her to vet and they couldn’t figure out why. Well she started not walking and acting very weird and soon after I wake up in middle of night she can’t get up and she’s dead. I do not recommend!!! This is straight poison Show details
** WARNING ** – My dog started grand mal seizing days after having Bravecto from the vets! Thousands of pounds later and still costing us as she is now on epilepsy meds every 12 hours for life. Wish I had researched Bravecto before giving it to her as so many other dogs have had the same reaction. NOT WORTH THE RISK!!! Show details

Rebate is junk – I purchased 4 Bravecto for my 2 dogs at 2 different times. The rebate was denied because I did not purchase them at the same time. Not a good company, not honest on rebates. Plus my dog still got ticks and it did not kill them. Do not recommend this product. Very expensive and rebate is junk. Show details
Bravecto killed our Peekapoo, Bailey – DO NOT USE BRAVECTO It kills….. Our 11 lb. Peekapoo, after beginning the Bravecto, suffered uncontrollable seizures and died within months of the first dose. A healthy puppy, active and regularly examined by our vet (who prescribed Bravecto) but, unfortunately, he died. After thousands of dollars in medical treatment and , countless hours of… Read more
watching him have one seizure after another, 7 on the day he died, we decided to end his life. [Name Removed], Merck…….was the representative who I spoke with on several occasions as well as by letter. He offered to cover the cost of the $3,500+ in medical costs as long as we would not discuss this with others and not negatively review the product. I told him to keep his blood money……and that Merck apparently placed their profits ahead of the safety of our pets. I filed a complaint with the FDA and they contacted us, our vet and the emergency clinic Bailey was hospitalized in……. Copies of all vets notes and charges, in detail, were provided to both [Name Removed] at Merck and the FDA. Hundreds of pets died after using Bravecto. Now……they provide a warning in their television commercials for both Bravecto and Nexguard.
My dogs do not like the taste – My vet recommended Bravecto. I don’t know if it works. I just know I spent a lot of money for nothing. I have four dogs. I tried giving it to them plain, I tried smearing them in peanut butter, I tried mixing it with their food, I tried wrapping some with cheese, they would not eat even a very small piece. Bravecto is expensive, and on top of… Read more

* Why is it these companies make awesome chewable tablets that must smell and taste like crap, my dogs don’t eat them, they smell it and run the other way.
BRAVACTO killed my 4 month old German Shepard – I was given a Bravecto chew from my vet to give to my puppy for fleas. 1 week later she started having uncontrollable seizures. We had her tested for everything and it all came back negative. The vet refused to admit Bravecto could have anything to do with it as they were the ones that gave her the chew in the first place. We kept her alive for 1… Read more
more week with lots of different anti seizure medications but in the end had to put her to sleep because the seizures were only getting worse. She was such a smart and healthy puppy before the Bravecto. It was the most traumatic experience of my life watching this helpless little puppy suffer like she did. Don’t use Bravecto!
Risk of seizures – Our 7 year old dog was healthy. Two days after taking Bravecto she started with mild seizures. A few weeks later she had cluster seizures that were very severe. She lost control of her legs and bowels. She is now on epilepsy medicine to try to reduce her episodes which she’ll need to take every 8 hrs for the rest of her life. I would not risk the… Read more

mistake. He ended up getting a hot spot, and so the next day I went out and bought Hartz Ultra Guard pro, the fleas were gone..boom gone. I told my vet, he replied stating I didn't apply the product correctly??? Sorry but this is not my first RODEO. Do not use Bravecto,,"Bravecto is a controversial prescription medication in the pet world. Vets recommend it, it's FDA-approved, and it helps eradicate ticks and fleas in dogs and cats. However, many pet parents claim it causes seizures in their dogs and has even caused some to die."
Warning – I gave my 12 year old dog bravecto chewable on 5/10/2023 he died 5/13/2023 called my vet that prescribed it and he said he wasn't aware of any side effects or possible harm.
