nonstick coating is lasting well – temp control is better then most in its price and size nonstick still not lifting of yet not like sunbeam and tiffany only last 6 MTh and temp control hard to set well the vent was not effective will not open enough when steaming still best buy would like a stainless steal one good temp control and nonstick surface it couldmaitan temp better drops to far before heatting on again but still better then others Show reply

careful care of product and use of only 6 times within the warranty year the glass lid shattered and cut my feet and arms. I was in great shock as the whole kitchen was covered in glass shards. It not only took me two days to clean bench tops, oven, foors, and dishes, but it shattered over two nights meals I had prepared for my family.The product wasn't covered under the warranty as the product had been used and glass is not part of the cover, as I was informed by the staff at Breville. I found the staff to particularly unassistful, unsympathetic and consequently I felt angered and deeply upset as I do beleive the item was an inferior product not damaged as a consequence of my use. I had read the care instructions and had washed product after cooling carefully with a gentle sponge. I do believe that my wok was perhaps a lemon and was made from inferior materials for this to occur as I am not a rough user, quite the opposite, a very careful, gentle user. As a consumer it would be nice to know that when a problem like this occurs you can safely beleive that you will be taken care of. And if it's not covered by the warranty then at least a sympathetic ear and a discounted replacement part would be the least to offer a disgruntled upset consumer. Instead, I wasn't assisted in any way, but quickly informed of my bad purchase through their lack of care of my broken wok.

Good – I've had this wok for a few years and it's been a good reliable appliance, although I find that occasionally the temperature drops and the food starts to stew in its own juices instead of searing on high heat. It's easy to clean and the non stick surface is still in good condition. I am careful not to use metal utensils so as to avoid scratching the surface. Easy to clean, large capacity Temperature is not consistent due to temp regulator.

Good – overall a great item perfect for many different foods, it is also perfect to take away with you if you go away for a holiday, so simply to use even my husband who never cooks can use it easily very easy to use, easy to clean, heats up very well, i have had it for years and it still works well so last a long time, quite cheap, versatile as you can… Read more

use it for many things such as stir fries, casseroles, even soups, has a detachable cable, it is quite heavy and bulky so if you do not have the room then it may not be good for you

OK – The coating along the rim peeled off after the second use. The inside coating was very easily scratched after a few uses and discolored (although aparently the discolor is normal). well and makes a great stir-fry. It heats up quickly and cooks the food well. I probably wouldn't buy this again though. Makes nice stir-fry. Big, bulky and heavy. Storage. House fills of smoke when frying off onion and veggies before adding sauce. Inside coating wore off quickly, surface scratched very easily.

Excellent – I have had this wok for about 18 months now-and use it constantly! It is fantastic for sitfrys and I also have used it for casseroles. It is now my appliance of choice for making chilli con carne and spaghetti sauce. I have also used it for deep frying on occasion.To date I haven't used the steamer insert.
