Breville HealthSmart Food Steamer BFS400

Amazing steamer helped a lot to manage my diet – This steamer is compact but does a great job! I eat a lot of fish and veggies- the steamer helps me spend less time making a healthy meal. I really like this, and the price was right, so I ordered one for my sister. It takes up a small amount of space- no need to leave it on the counter. I keep mine with the pots and pans. Also, easy to clean. Instead of a high calorie meal, a steamer lets you use herbs or citrus in the water or on top of your protein. Steams fish, shrimp, scallops, lobster, clams, etc. I use the top for veggies or to reheat rice, quinoa, etc.

OK – This product works well but the plastic timer knob breaks easily. The first time it broken after about six months of frequent use. Breville rplaced the whole unit becuase of it. Then, the next one broke after half a doz uses !! I range Breville very unimpressed !! In good conscience I dod not want to replace the product again as it worked fine. But I did get customer service to send me out two replacement knobs as I was worried it would break again. I have been using it for six months since and all is okay so far. The bowl is large enough for a family of two adults/kids serving of rice and probably three serves of porridge. It also cooks eggs. It is a great multifunction appliance actually.
