In response to a couple of the questions asked ... Becky Winter . - "Light and useful BUT the gas canister does NOT fit in with lid on like photo on box depicts" I think it's just to depict what the entire set up contains overall, not that is fits inside it. To be honest though, I've not yet tried that. Although considering the base of the gas can normally sits on the table, back of your ute or generally dirty areas, I wouldn't be super keen to have that then sitting down inside where the clean fresh water goes.

And as far as Nayan G. - "Can we control the heat?", yes you can. Like with any gas stove, gas cooker, gas top etc you simply dial the heat controller higher or lower depending on your cooking and heat requirements.

The smaller canisters fit inside it not the 230g. I wander if they have put the wrong canister size on the box?

Yes to a point, if you want to simmer , go for Jetboil Minimo

You certainly can mate, like with any gas cooker set up. You simply increase or decrease the gas flow with the small orange dial control.

I don't have the exact weight but at a guess I would say less than a kilo on its own, probably 600 grams or so .... it feels about ( if not lighter ) than the gas can that screws under it if that helps. Would be no issue in a small backpack though for hiking etc. At a guess, I'd think the jet boil would be very similar in weight. I just it's a hell of a lot more expensive LOL !
