Hi, I am not sure. however, I would think that you would have to download the operating drivers and or installation program on to your laptop for it to work. My Canon is wired directly into the back of the PC.

MP 280 stopped working when new cartridges installed, all advice from the troubleshooting menu has been tried to no effect. The person who first installed the cartridges thought that they normally move automatically at some stage but not this time. Any DIY solution?

Just to verify the installed cartridges where genuine Canon and not generic and they are not the old cartridge refilled, if they have been refilled the counter has not been reset on the cartridge.

Hi Grea, I dont think that I got a disc with my printer. from what I remember, I downloaded the drivers for it direct from the canon download site. Look up Canon on the internet, click your model in the downloads section and it should be there. Cheers, Steve
