Aldi uses Telstra network so should be fine
Our celfi is G31-3/5/28. We have both Belong for mobile phone and a Telstra dongle - 4GX wifi plus for extra data when travelling. Installation of cel fi by caravan company. We’re assuming they did it right, as they do a few and recommended the product. Big white antenna for outside. Unable to register. CelFi flashing red but nothing happing on app for iPhone 8. Help please.
Oops. Problem resolved.
Can you use two or three phones simultaneously on Cel Fi Pro ?
Yes, as many as you want. It is boosting a signal.
Hi I bought a cel-fi pro for my home detention bracelet for telstra paid $1600 worked perfectly but corrections have now changed provider to optus I'd like to swap my telstra booster for optus please help
Hi I currently use cel-fi booster with telstra can change it to optus?
No they are programmed for the telco need to buy another one if you change carrier.
Ok have just had cel fi go installed in a vehicle by a 4x4 outlet. I with Telstra and when we loaded the app it has identified the unit as Optus service. Do you have Telstra and Optus tuned units ?
Yes there are two one for Telstra and one for Optus
Dean, there is also another unit that has come out not long ago which costs almost twice as much, but allows you to switch between Optus, Telstra or Vodafone, it also boosts 5g signal.
Hello, If I have a Telstra Cel-Fi booster can I still use the aldi mobile network that uses the Telstra towers
With aldi mobile using the telstra network can i switch from telstra to aldi and still use the cel fi go. Or do telstra stop it from working if you are not a subscriber to telstra. I am a telstra subscriber at the moment with an existing cell fi go registered with telstra
I am looking for help please after a new Cel-fi installation to boost a weak rural Optus signal. I am getting strong 4G LTE signal in the house from the Cel-fi, which my Optus 4G modem is receiving fine, and providing good Wi-Fi. However, my Optus mobile phone, an iPhone X, does not see the 4G signal from the Cel-fi. Optus technical support seem unable to help with this - has anybody had a similar problem and found a solution? Many thanks in advance.
Hi I have the same isue. Did you find a resolution to this? My optus B818-263 modem is configured for band 28 lte works fine. My iphone has 4g lte enabled but gets no signal improvement.. I need to walk 200m down the road to get signal working from the tower.
I have a Telstra Cel-Fi and a Boost sim, but am considering changing to another Telstra supplied carrier (ie Belong, Mate, Woolworths Aldi or Numobile). Will it work with these companies or am I stuck with Boost/Telstra?
It’s a bit late now but i’m aware it works with anything using Telstra network. However some people don’t know that only Boost uses the full Telstra network, whilst the others don’t.
Thanks. Yes, Boost uses the full Telstra bandwidth with the exception of the 5G network.
I get 5G with Boost.
Boost didn't have 5G when I joined, I didn't know that had changed. It doesn't really make any difference to me, not at the moment anyway.
Does this work with Optus mobile phones? My mobile reception is terrible with just 1 bar downstairs in our townhouse.
Don't know I bought mine for Telstra and it's brilliant You need to call them direct, I would be fairly certain it does. I went from a dubious 1 bar to a certain 4 bar throughout my two story unit. Very satisfied after first wasting my money on a supposed alternative. Very easy set-up too
You just need to order the Optus model when purchasing
Can you tell me? I recently went through the whole process with cel fi with telstra and did not have success.I have recently switched over to optus and have had success gaining reception outdoors. If i stand on the roof i get 2 bars of 4g and then inside i have nothing. I am wondering is there any solution to my problem? I want to bounce the signal from my roof to inside the house.
After absolute failure, including causing demonstrable interference to the local Telstra network, I had to cut my losses @ over $700 and invest in the Cel Fi product with instant success. I went from 1 to 2 bars upstairs to a now. Constant 4 to 5 bars throughout the property. I am with Telstra, have been for many years, and would not change (Telstra Business). when initially investigating I chose a cheaper option which ended up costing almost twice as much. Cel-Fi for me was like gold dust! Could not be more content
This is quite simple....you have the same problem as me....you need an external Yagi antenna which will gain the all important signal and make the CeloFi sing a full 5 bars
Have had a cel-fi for Telstra for 2 years works very well. Vodafone has now built a tower which is much closer. Can I use my existing unit for Vodafone or do I have to buy a new unit. Cheers
Umm...simply...NO....carriers very strict about this...Get an external Yagi antenna and presto...signal will be awesome!
why is your product so exorbitantly expensive? i purchased a repeater that works excellent and costs $135 with 5 year warranty all i did was activated "field test mode" or "service mode" on my phone which tells me which band im using then with that knowledge i searched for a product with that specification and thats it...
Probably because the Cel-Fi is legal.... and works plug-n-play. You'll want to be careful with your repeater, my understanding is that Cel-Fi is the ONLY legal repeater/booster in Australia. Check that, obviously, but you'll find plenty of warnings if you run a Google search. For example, see external link
oh yeah i didnt realise the product must be tested in the australian environment so it doesnt interfere with any other infrastrusture and your product most likley has been tested. but that price tag is way out of my reach can you offer a layby service?
can I use for a mobile home vehicle?
I would say if you can stand somewhere in the mobile home vehicle (or hold your phone somewhere) and get better reception while you are there, then the Cel-Fi will improve reception. You have 2 units, and the one that communicates with the mobile-phone-tower needs to be somewhere it can get a signal. Not sure how that would work in a mobile home vehicle... plus both units are mains-powered ie. 240V. You'd be better off getting the Cel-Fi product designed for vehicles ie. the Cel-Fi Go, which apparently works well (but I don't have any experience with it). external link
Hi, I use to get 1 bar on 3G, but when I went to a Iphone 6S, which is 4G I no longer get any bars, very occasionally I will get an SMS, but that is rare. Will the Cel-Fi and Yagi Antenna work for me to receive SMS.
I went from an iPhone 5S with scratchy 3G reception to an iPhone 7 which also had scratchy reception. Then Telstra put in 4G at the tower, and the iPhone 7 didn't get any reception at all. I guess 4G is quite a bit weaker than 3G. Anyway, with the Cel-Fi, I get excellent 4G reception now including SMS etc. All good in other words. The Cel-Fi unit up in the roof-space shows it is getting 3 bars out of 5 for the 4G service, 5 out of 5 for 3G.
CelFi and Yagi work extremely well for me....but you MUST get it setup correctly...even if that means professional install
