CF Moto Z6

Pure Junk – Ive owned a lot of vehicles in the past. Stick with name brand stuff. Not this chinese junk. Ive spent more time fixing it than riding it. Constantly blowing fuses and relays. The fuel pump is unreliable. Like I said, I spend more time solving its issues than actually riding it. My advice is just stick with a Polaris RZR. Show details
2017 stalling out – 8400 km on 2017 bought oct last yr. Few minor probs now stalling out all different times usually starts right away but not always have to wait for fuel pump kick in our flip kill switch and it will go usually. Thinking kill switch ?
all i ever need – I have a 2012 cf moto z6. I have over 2800 very hard miles on it in sand, mud, ice, snow and some of the roughest mountain terrain you can imagine. no majhor problems at all. so I bought another 2017 800. not many miles on it yet,so don't know of any problems yet. Have owned Honda, polaris, yamaha, and I will stick with cf moto for the price and reliability that I have had with mine Show details
Great to get out and have fun with – I have done over 1200 ks with mine cant speak highly enough of it. If you don't like dirt in your face buy a 4x4 with aircon as for things coming loose thats what maintainence is for some of my friends flog there machines and wonder why they have problems you can have a lot fun without destroying it everything has its faults as for the power difference what clown compares a 600cc with a 800cc. come on mate get real or get a life. Will never buy another one – Bought a used Rancher in May 2016, from a dealer, paid $6000.00. Unloading it, realized the park brake was frozen, fixed that. Didn't take it out for a ride for 2 months, just had no time, went 2 miles from home, came down a 90 degree hill, and had no brakes, almost had to jump off, thank god I had fixed park brake. So now no brakes, replace… Read more
master cylinder, bled brakes, fixed problem. Took it out for second time with friends, broke down again, engine kept bogging down. Had to be towed home. Called dealer, didn't want to fix it because warrentee had expired, had not put 10 miles on yet!!! Wrote to c.f. Moto main office, within 2 hours, I got a phone call, to bring it in to fix it at no cost, which by the way is 4 hours away. They said it was reverse sensor, anyway they fixed it. Took it off trailer, never got a chance to ride again, didn't trust going by myself. Garaged it for winter. Now it's May again, friends wanted to borrow it, and I figured it was safe to let them, the bugs must be out of it. They took it down the road and called me 15 minutes later when they got to their house 4 miles down the road. They couldn't get the key out to get gas. And had no brakes. What the hell!!! The machine wouldn't shut down, the key was stuck, and it wouldn't turn, the only way they could start it was hitting the kill switch, this just isn't right. They brought it back, we has to take the negative off battery, and that was the only way to get key out, anyway, now we have no brakes, I don't dare to take it anywhere, scared to brake down by myself. What do I do now !!!!
I like it, but I just got it – I recently picked up a used cfmoto z6 with 800 miles. It's been fun so far but the engine leaks oil, is difficult to shift from high to low, and I've already had an injector fault light come on for no apparent reason. Reading these reviews really has me worried now. I really should have waited longer for another brand. The dealer I bought it from… Read more
will fix the leak, but if it cost too much to keep this beautiful rig running then I will just sell it off. I was willing to give cfmoto a try, I've been riding all my life, and currently own a 1985 Honda big red, 2005 Yamaha Kodak 450se, 2012 Yamaha WR450F, 2004 Honda CR 125, and a 2011 Kawasaki Vaquero 1700. All of which are problem free other than normal wear and tear items. I'm gonna give it a try, but I'm not optimistic considering the track record and evidence I've collected reading these reviews.
Best toy i've owned yet and been riding since i was 9 im 32 now – I've had my 2014 z6 for a year now not one single issue from it iv got a thousand miles on it and just bought a chip to give it more gittie up and go ! I do love the machine and iv had better luck with it then any honda i ever owned so ill be buying another cfmoto again and again .. Show details
Love my CF Moto Z6 – It runs and drives amazing! At times I wish I had a little more power but I haven't had any problems with it at all! Great price for being so new! It's half the price of a Polaris Rzr and it's just as good and runs just as nice!!! Loyal Customer! Show details
Not Bad! 2013 Z6 still looks good and runs good – I bout it used with nearly 700 miles on it. I've had it on AZ desert trails and on high CO mountain passes. It has taken us through some of the roughest terrain one could wish he hadn't taken. With the exception of a few dents and scratches on the skid plates (taller tires will fix that) this little machine has been a blast to drive! Replacement… Read more
skid plates and bigger tires are on my list sometime in the near future but as for any serious problems...no.
I replaced the dry air filter with a washable 'UNI' brand filter and added an led light which hardly ever gets used but looks cool. .
Top speed is around 53 mph on the highway but they're made for off road and serious climbing which it does very well! For me, it has been very affordable.
December 6th 2016 Update: My CF MOTO Z6 EX Reaching New Heights!
I think any Z6 owner would probably agree with me when I say clearance becomes an issue in some situations. I attempted to adjust my shocks to get a bit more height with mine but the adjustment nut will not budge .....so..... being that my tires were showing considerable wear, I purchased a new set of tires from Motorcycle Superstore.com and gained almost two inches of clearance. I found two 29"x11"x14'' tires for the rear and two 29''x9''x14" tires for the front. The total cost in the U.S was a bit over $550.00 and shipping was free. No tax! The brand name is ITP Ultracross, made in the U.S.A. They not only lifted my ride but the machine seams to take the bumps better and there doesn't seem to be any great loss of power. Oh, wouldn't hurt to get them balanced while getting them mounted. One more thing I'd like to mention. Alpha Sports.com is based in the state of Maine. They have many parts for these machines. I encourage you to check their website out!
Happy Trails!
January 6th 2016 Update: Getting Better With Age
After owning two Z6-EX models during the past three years I can confidently say that they have been exceptionally good vehicles to own. Yes, I have had a few things go wrong with them but any manufactured ATV/UTV is less than bullet proof. I can count the problems I've had on one hand:
Replacement of a brake rotor, pads, and a wheel bearing because of a rock that became lodged between the brake caliper and inside of the wheel rim. That was not due to poor workmanship of the product.
Replacement of a faulty starter solenoid because the old one would sometimes just chatter when the ignition was in the start mode. These fail with time on any type. I searched the internet and found a brand new one on eBay for just $13.00 U S dollars which was easy to replace located under the driver's seat.
One of the seat belts quit locking correctly. Again, I found a new near matching 'pair' for $35.00 on eBay.
There are some other upgrades that I've done like a 29" set of tires instead of the factory 26" tires to gain some height, an led running light, and a C.B. to communicate with my comrades but in regard to any expenses caused from the vehicle being poorly manufactured, I don't see any with mine.
I recently discovered that replacement of some fasteners can be found in the hardware/ fasteners/ nut, bolts containers of a local hardware store and even some automotive parts stores.
Well, for whatever its worth to you, I hope this has been helpful and encouraging.
Should be yellow (lemon) – I bought new from a dealer who lost his dealership, cant get parts, closest dealer 60 iles out. Waited 3 months to fix blown top end. Dealer service mgr. told me "you didn't buy it here, you'll have to wait til my customers first", extremely disappointed!!! This machine has been to the original dealer 4 times, mainly electrical, front end out of alignment, 400 miles on machine now 2 balding tires. Show details

Great price, looked cool but – I bought a 2013 used cfmoto 6z. The price was great! Looked really cool. Ran great for about 20 minutes and started over heating. Found out the fan wasn't turning on. Dealership was cool about it and picked it up and fixed the fan. Was so excited the wife even named it. Took it for some hard core mudding, the four wheel drive worked perfect. After… Read more
about 25 minutes it started over heating again. I thought maybe the radiator needed sprayed out, you know not getting enough air flow. Sprayed it out and it cooled off pretty quick. Another 20 minutes and it was back in the red. It may need a thermostat..something simple I don't know. Returned it to the dealer and got a new teryx 800 instead. All the negative reviews on the moto, and just getting it with continued over heating it wasn't worth the great price. Was afraid I was in for more shop time than the $6000 price was worth.
Frigen junk – We bought a cf moto 600 ex a hold over it was brand new out of the create just 2 years old a damn junk its a lemon from the factory 40 miles rear inner shaft poped out then 80 to 100 miles reverse light switch stayed on and earlyer the cable on the winch broke on me cheap cable and when i got it back from the dealer the next day i was rideing it… Read more

Dont you see a frigen problem here people same year same modles 600 ex you frigen people from cf moto would get there head out of there butts
Disappointed – Okay, so I of course also have a 2013 Cf-Moto Z600. With that being said I also am NOT happy with mine as well as most others on this site. It has hardly no miles on it it had less then 300 miles on it when I purchased it yet some how it always seems to be messing up in one way or another. Just want to put it out there that I take very good care… Read more
of it keep up with all maintenance unfortunately I also keep up with all the crap that breaks every time I decide to turn the key over. Had a opportunity to buy it & was super estatic first time we took it out an it broke I thought tough luck second time I assumed possibly because it was new but now countless amounts of money time and frustration are just being thrown away at it.
God's honest truth it didn't make a difference if we were riding the mountain trails or if I was just riding my daughter around our yard still the freaking thing would mess up act up or just totally screw up. In my experience and opinion yeah it looks nice & anything with a motor at some point in time can put a smile on your face but I still want to say it is over all crap.. Nothing should break this much no matter the circumstances and especially not something that is made for riding or working.. It's definitely not worth all the nonsense & money your going to end up having to go through.. Not to mention finding parts is never easy never cheap and you have to wait long periods of time to fix it because all the parts have to be shipped from apparently Pluto or mars. I have to be nervous and stressed out every time I sit down in it because I know it's about to some how bite me in the posterior! Don't buy one!

Piece of crap – I bought ex z6 2014 and have not got enjoy it, every time I go ride trails it brakes down it never fails. My clutch went out first time then fuel pump then back axle on passenger side popes out. Speedometer doesn't the dealer got a new one and still doesn't. So they ordered a wire harness, cf moto send the wrong. And now when dealer calls them… Read more
about there not responding. I tried to trade it in to Polaris and they laugh and said they won't take cf moto brand because they're junk. My machine stays in shop since I bought it. Wish I never bought it.
Make it better! – Have had to beef up back tire supports as I found out they are super thin and brake. I also have chipped it for more power and gas mileage. I changed the air filter putting it the front running the air pipe to air box with largest air filter I could get into compartment.
Biggest regret ever – We purchased a 2013 cfmoto z6 ex in april. It only had 350 miles on it so we figured it was a good deal... Come to find out we got ourselves stuck with what I'm calling a major lemon. Every time we went for a ride on the weekend we had to bring it to the dealer for repair. First was the cv shaft kept falling out, they replaced that. Then we had… Read more
oil leaks on the motor itself, went to the dealer twice for that. Now for the fourth time we just got it back after not having it for 3 weeks cuz it wouldnt start come to find out due to a shot bearing n the starter just free spinning. Now the motor is knocking and sounds like its miss firing... Im beyond fed up but have no idea what to do. Cant trade it cuz I have a loan on it and not one dealer wants anything to do with it. I refuse to take a $4000 loss on this pile of crap.
Junk – 2013 600ex with 523 miles that my 6yr old only one rides it just picked it up from shop, this makes the 6th time and still ant running needs new throtile body, new fuel tank, and fuel system. Has never never run good, biggest piece of junk I ever bought!!!
had a good time with my C F MOTO – My brother has the razor and I have CF Moto. His razor has nothing over me I've driven both and for the money the C F Moto is by far the superior machine. My Z 6 With very moderate clutching has really enhanced bottem end performance,And I have rolle at 72 M.P.H.
Lemon – Brought the 2012 model brand new. In the last 2 years it has spent more time in the shop for repairs than out on a track. I don't believe it had been treated badly or rough as it was only my 10 yr old son who would drive it. It was always taken back to the dealer (200kms away) for services and there were always issues. Now after a rebuild , new… Read more
dash and dash electrics, the front shaft keeps coming out and are now told we need a new front diff and guess what out of warranty.
Still new – I recently bought a z6 had it out in the national forest the day I got it and so far everything is great. One of the bars that guard your legs was rattling around so I took that side apart and had to replace a bolt but other than that I have had no problems. I now have 100 miles on it, I have rode it on gravel, in the woods, on, trails, and even… Read more · 2
pavement. I was/am a Polaris fan and I prefer this to my Sportsmans. You don't get the stupid belt sounds that you would have with the Polaris either. I have got the top speed up to 52mph it is comfortable and so far I really have nothing bad to say. I will keep posting so others are not so scared of this company and a good deal on a sidexside. Price, roof, tire-wheels, and the warranty is better than the standard one on a Polaris Needs a little more clearance, better fuel efficiency, and interior glove box.
Excellent product – I purchased a cf moto z6 december 2012, great price and sporty look. It is a blast to drive with quick throttle response and comes with lots of optons taht you don't get on other utv's, like custome wheels and larger tires, harness seat belts, winch, trailer hitch, horn and emergency brake. It has excellent cornering and great suspension Fit finish and looks
I love my CF MOTO Z6, what a great machine for the money! – I have owned tons of off road bikes and I can go all day long telling you about what bikes I like and don't but the CF MOTO Z6 we have owned it for about a year and have put 1600 miles on it, literally they claim this will go anywhere. There were right. lots of low end torque for the hills, very durable and reliable, have had very little issues… Read more
with it if any. I would recommend this UTV to anyone. for the price... you can't beat it. it totally loaded up where as other bikes like RZR etc would cost you a fortune with adding all the upgrages the CF moto z6 comes with.. this is a great product Great bike for the money.. very well worth it. Wish the suspension was just a tad softer.

Great Product – Mine has 4500 trouble free hard miles. Love it and way better than Polaris. I owned both and for the money the CF Z6 is more bang for the buck. The interior is awesome and the display is way better than the RZR. The dealer that I bought mine from was way nicer than the Polaris dealer in my town. Good price and good fit and finish not as fast as the Polaris, but it is nearly half the price.
You get what you pay for! – I owned one of these Z^ machines for a year. The first 600 miles or so were trouble free. It was in and out of the shop the next six months so many times that I didn't get another 100 or so miles on the machine before cutting my losses and trading it in. Upon trading it in the salesman who sold it to me originaly told me that it had a three… Read more
thousand dollar trade in value. The same machine that I had paid 8,500 dollars for just months ago. He told me they didn't hold their resale value because of low dependability. Also talked to the mechanic at the dealership and he stated that their was more than one machine that customers simply refused to pick up after repairs due to the large amounts of down time experienced. It was at this point I cut my losses and traded for a 500 King Quad! General layout is good. Spent more time in the shop than on the trails!

Don't waste your money – We had a Polaris 500 ATV for 6 years and wanted to get a side by side. We drove several razors and found the CF Moto Z6, which the salesmen tout as being pretty much the same as the razor. We bought a new 2011 and took it out twice putting a total of 93 miles on it. It looks nice and if the only place you want to drive it is on a flat paved… Read more
road you will probably like it. But if you actually want to take it on a trail you will hate it. Way underpowered. No comparison to a razor. We went out with about 10 others rigs--all the rest were razors. We could barely keep up and couldn’t make it up the steep hills. But the worst part was the dirt. A design flaw funnels everything into the cab. The tires stick out on the edges and flip everything inside. You can also see the dirt coming up through the floor and gear shift and the dash. We got so filthy and so much dirt in our eyes that we couldn't even see and had to lag behind everyone else. It was the ride from HELL. Nobody else got anywhere near as dirty as us and everyone commented on it because it was very noticeable. Dust is expected with any ATV or UTV but not an inch thick everywhere. We complained to the dealer and they told us we would have to pay to fix the flaw by putting fenders on the tires--and then we would have no guarantee that it would actually fix the problem and it will be even wider so it wouldn’t be able to go on some of the trails. After only taking it out twice we sold it and bought a 2010 razor. We lost nearly $2000 on it, but there was no way we could have ever kept it and enjoyed it. It might look like a razor, but it doesn't come close. Save your money and buy a razor. Cheaper to buy than a razor. Looks nice.. Has a winch, hard top and hitch included in purchase price. Low power performance. Filthy ride--not just dusty--covered head to toe. No comparison to a razor

Great machine for the money – It's not a razor nor meant to be. It's a strong reliable machine that's alot of fun for the money. Remember it's only 600cc. I have had VERY many machines and this is a good one. Personally I would never buy a Polaris, I just don't like them. Shocks could be upgraded. are pretty decent. All side by sides with a windshield have dirt roll up unless you put on a back window or just run open. These are no worse than others. I had a cfmoto before and like them. Good warranty and they stand behind them. Most people just like to complain and don't even have much experience about what they're talking about. Runs great for only 600cc, cheap purchase, built tough, runs cool, Stiff suspension, shifts hard but gets better
