Severe allergy to Cetrizine Hydrochloride – I have taken many other brands of anti histamines but this time my Dr prescribed Cetrizine and I developed a severe rash and welts all over my body which was extremely itchy. I have had shingles and as bad as that was this rash was worse as I just about scratched my skin off. This persisted for 4-5 days after stopping the Cetrizine tablets. It wasn't until I was speaking to my Daughter about the rash that She said She had the same reaction from this medication and this confirmed my thoughts as this was the only change in medication or anything else. I am a male at 74 years old..
