Hello I just received my steamer blender and the jug now fills with water up to the 200ml mark so it’s boiling the ingredients now instead of steaming.. water was filled in the tank as directed and only 3rd use so descaling shouldn’t be an issue have only used boiled water

Hi there, is this machine able to blend ice?

Does this machine reheat frozen portions of baby food as well?

Cherub Baby
Cherub Baby   DM

Hi Emily, You can 100% reheat frozen baby food. Though there's not a specific setting for this, I just used the bottle warming setting. Sometimes I had to run it twice as it only goes for 3 mins :) Thanks, Cherub Baby Customer Service

Hi there The bottle warmer function works erratically, it’s kind of a lottery really, it does start and the steam comes in the unit but does not warm enough sometimes on bottles same size, with the same and mount of liquid and for the same amount of time. Could you please suggest a couple of things I should do to ensure correct function of the machine?

Hi. I took part the blade to clean and put it back together and no matter how I try to put it in it’s connected up but seems loose. Can you confirm the blade should be fully firm other than the spinning part ?

Cherub Baby
Cherub Baby   DM

Hi Nat, Thank you for your message. Important information for installing and removing the blade 1/Position the seal with the suction pad (flared part) facing downwards. 2/Place the flower-shaped part beneath the bowl with the smaller part directly beneath the bowl, holding the blade on the other side. 3/Give it a quarter turn anticlockwise Important: Pull on the “flower” part to check that the blade is properly screwed in.

Hi, I just bought this for my baby and am trying to follow the first time use cleaning instructions. It says in the final step to run another steam cycle for 20 minutes using 200ml of water, which I did. However it runs dry after just 7 minutes, beeps, and then just sits there. Not sure what's wrong with my unit. Please help.

So the instructions say to wipe the water tank down with a damp cloth.... given how deep and enclosed the water tank is, I’d love to know how one is supposed to wipe it with a damp cloth?? I followed the instructions for preparing it for first use with vinegar and water, and then steam with water, and now there’s black residue on the bottom of the tank that I can’t get to to clean off!

Cherub Baby
Cherub Baby   DM

HI Agnes, Thank you for your message. No need to wipe it down, you can just let it open and wait for it to dry. The black residue on the bottom of the tank is from the faucet water you have boiled it with. Please try descaling again using kettle cleaner (liquid or tablets). This can be purchased from your local supermarket. Our tests have found this product if more effective at removing mineral build up.

Handy Hints Use only pre-boiled water to fill the water chamber as there will be less minerals in the water. Also ensure the water chamber is dry when the Steamer Blender isn’t in use.

I have had this product for a few months now, no problems so far. I descaled the machine today, when I started using it afterwards, it keeps telling me there is no water but the water level is at the maximum. How do I fix the problem? Thank you.

Cherub Baby
Cherub Baby   DM

Hi Linda, We’re sorry to hear about the problem you’ve encountered with your steamer blender. The good news is we’re able to provide you with some tips which we’re sure will solve the issue. Please see below information which we’re sure will solve the problem you’ve encountered.

Firstly, check there is sufficient water in the water chamber because this symbol will appear if it runs dry.

The other reason for this symbol appearing is to alert you that the water chamber needs to be descaled. Similar to a kettle or an iron, our Steamer Blender requires regular descaling to remove a build up of minerals on the Steamer Blender heat plate from the water.

The concentration of minerals in tap water can vary from area to area and areas with a high concentration of minerals can result in minerals building up quite quickly. Mineral will also build up quickly if you use the Steamer Blender frequently. As a guide our Steamer Blender will require descaling between 1 to 4 weeks. Please see below instructions on how to descale your Steamer Blender.

DESCALING INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Unplug the appliance

2. Pour 15ml citric acid and 150ml of water, or 100ml of white vinegar and 50ml water into the water chamber.

3. Close the water tank turning the lid clockwise and run the steaming cycle for 20 minutes. If the raindrop appears during the cycle, please restart the unit and try again. Aim to get the unit steaming for at least 10 minutes.

4. Leave the solution in the chamber for 30 minutes.

5. Pour out the solution and check for mineral build up. If still visible, please repeat steps 1 through to 4 again.

6. Rinse the chamber with pre-boiled water and empty.

If the error continues to display after following the above instructions try descaling again using kettle cleaner (liquid or tablets). This can be purchased from your local super market. Our tests have found this product if more effective at removing mineral build up.

Handy Hints – Use only pre-boiled water to fill the water chamber as there will be less minerals in the water. Also ensure the water chamber is dry when the Steamer Blender isn’t in use.

Kind regards,

LJ

Hi I brought this machine yesterday it is now stopping every single minute with the water symbol flashing it is getting ridiculous as I’m sure nobody wants a machine they have to go press start on every minute. Also the water in the steamer where the food is is now filling half way up and soaking the food which is not what I wanted and wasn’t doing it yesterday. Any idea on what’s going on?

I used the steamer and blender yesterday with no issues, then today I go to use it and I press steam and then start and nothing happens, after a few seconds it turns off- it seems almost like the start button is not registering. I tried it on the blade function and the same thing happens it won’t actually start. Is my unit faulty or am I doing something wrong?
