they damaged too much my luggage
China Southern Airlines destroyed my luggage, tore and bent the wheel, my suitcase was new and now it is trash.
I tried to contact them by email more than 10 times, I sent the photos and footage, and they are joking with my face saying that they didn't receive any photos by email, and I can prove that I sent them, I've already sent them more than 10 times and they don't solve my problem.
BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR luggage WHEN TRAVELING WITH CHINA SOUTHERN AIRLINES.

Good experience, Great customer service
I recently (October 2023) flew from Sydney (Australia) to Rome (Italy) and back in business class.
I booked with them because they were so much cheaper than “the usual suspects”. The down side was that I faced a six-hour layover in Guangzhou on the way there, bringing the outward bound trip to 30 hours.
The pros: lie-down bed, courteous and attentive staff, all 4 flights perfectly on time, lounge in Guangzhou pretty nice with good selection of food
The cons: entertainment selection limited, communication was difficult because none of the staf

Read moref spoke English, the food was variable and not all options were available if sitting at the back of the cabin (all the best ones were taken by passengers ahead of me), wi fi at Guangzhou airport a nightmare, made more difficult by the fact that Google, WhatsApp etc are banned in China (couldn’t get them to work even with a vpn). The brilliant: the staff went out of their way to help and understand what I was trying to say. I forgot my umbrella at my seat on the first leg on the way back. They found it too late, but I was able to find a string of helpful individuals, culminating in it being boxed up and “rushed” to Sydney. Absolutely going over and above. I will definitely be looking at flying with them again for future trips.- Destination: Rome, Italy

Unbelievably super surprised
Honestly speaking I can’t believe the amazing experience I had with such professional airline southern China air Melbourne- Guangzhou- Rome 23/10/23 ! Check- in @ the Melbourne airport was absolutely amazing helpful and professional! The aircraft and crew staff A1 , transit in Guangzhou airport during customs and health declarations was very fast and simple ( make sure during your check-in from departing country you download the Q- code health ID and fill it out ) $55 Australian dollars allowed me to stay in the Southern China business lounge (

A fantastic 4 hour stay i the lounge for $55 dollars ( fantastic) Guangzhou airport is world - class , super clean comfortable seating everywhere ! I fly every year to Europe ( Rome Italy) and have flown with many elite airline companies, I can honestly say that flying with SCA WAS AN ABSOLUTE PLEASURE! By the way the cost of my return ticket Melbourne- Guangzhou- Rome-Fiumicino return was 50 percent cheaper than the next affordable carrier ! I would definitely fly SCA again even if the price was the same as other airlines! 4.5 STAR- Departure: Melbourne VIC, Australia

Perfect in-flight services
This is such a finest quality flight experience throughout check in to in-flight.
Efficient Check in: The Airport is over busy in the check in counters, however, it only took around 15 mins for me complete the check in process. And the manager was also actively in helping get passengers moving, which I don’t often seen.
Finest In-flight service experience: The senior proser Ms Chen Yuan Yuan has been very helpful and welcomed me onboard with started introducing the in-fight services. The Cabin provide sleep shoes and teeth brash pack (include

I went to sleep after the flight took off and one of very touch moment that the flight attendant Ms Liao Minghui has approached me after seeing me awake and offered a food&beverage service which that they have already closed few hours ago. That kindness from Ms Liao which is exceeded my expectation and I am very grateful of her professionalism and attention to details, even for the premium seat passenger. Overall, I am very satisfied with the flight with China Southern Airline and regards the services are totally 5-stars.- Class: Premium Economy

The Airline that doesn't care
Worst airline ever. Friend and I booked our tickets together but the airline wouldn't let us choose seats so we weren't even in the same section. How are you supposed to enjoy an overseas holiday when you can't even travel with your colleague? And when we asked the check in lady about the seating she was very dismissive and boardeline rude.
If that wasn't bad enough they lost BOTH my pieces of luggage and South China Airlines are not part of the world wide luggage retrieval system. Only got my cases eventually thanks to the great staff at Tullamarine airport.
Please don't EVER EVER EVER use this awful airline

Hi southern China airlines ,
It’s really disappointing to see your services it has become so disgraceful and the whole journey going to Kathmandu to returning Sydney a pathetic and shameful and embarrassing journey .
You have the worst health quarantine scan thing in the airport where lots of people struggle as your free wifi sucks on airport and all the Chinese language written in the health quarantine(English)
Late arrival during the flight time and sort transition where the process is hectic and stressful.
I must say it’s the worst flight to use southern China and I strongly recommend don’t ever travel with this southern China airlines, unless you have absolutely no other option!!!!!

Extremely unhappy with the service I received.
I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding an incident that took place at Melbourne Airport involving China Southern Airlines on 24 June 23. Despite having valid tickets and travel documents, my wife was denied boarding by the Chaina Southern Airlines service desk staff, citing an issue with her passport's expiry date.
The purpose of our trip was to visit our seriously ill mothers in Bangladesh. Given the urgency of our situation, we pleaded with the staff to make an exception and allow us to proceed with our trav

To facilitate this process, we requested an email address where the Bangladesh High Commission could send the exemption. Unfortunately, the staff at Melbourne Airport did not provide us with the necessary information. Despite our continued requests to speak with a representative, we were not given the opportunity to address the matter directly. We want to highlight that my wife holds a valid visa to enter Bangladesh. Furthermore, she is a Bangladeshi citizen by birth, and we offered to provide her birth certificate as proof. However, our requests were met with silence and disregard by the staff. To resolve the situation promptly, the Australian Passport Office issued my wife an urgent passport within two hours (on Monday). However, due to China Southern Airlines' refusal to grant our travel agent access to our tickets for any further changes, we were unable to proceed with our travel plans the next day. This was not only inconvenient but also resulted in additional costs and emotional distress.- Departure: Melbourne VIC, Australia

Worst airline with worst phone customer service
Very disappointed with China southern. Booked Dalian to Sydney with layover in guangzhou for my family and baby because it had the shortest total travel time. If you have young children you know how difficult it is travelling with an infant. China southern changed Dalian to Guangzhou leg to add an additional 5hours of travel time to stop at an additional airport with a longer layover.
When tried to change to another flight they said the only option for direct is to leave night before landing at 9pm or leave at 7am. If we wanted to land in the

Booked a seat, but got changed to a non-reclineable seat for 9 hr flight for a 77yr old lady.
my mum just boarded the cz326 flight from Sydney to Guangzhou. booked seat 60D but at the counter was issued the seat 65G they told me the 60D was given to someone else. because our seat reservation is free so there is no guarantee. when my 77 years old mother board the plane she found the seat is the last row and not even reclineable. the flight is full so she has to endure 9 hours sitting upright.
If you can't guarantee the seat reservation just don't provide the option for free seat selection. I would have paid extra for a seat!

Good service and helpful friendly staff.
We always fly with China Southern Airlines, and due to the COVID restrictions my wife was unable to get her flight back to Sydney. We eventually were able to book a flight back to Sydney, and the staff were not only friendly but extremely helpful. The rebooking and guidance by the ground staff at Guangzhou airport was incredible. A big shout out to China Southern Airlines.... Thank you very much.

My elite status had been revoked
I was a silver member with china southern since the pandemic hit living in Australia has closed international borders they downgraded my elite membership to bronze from silver. Terrible service
Simply pathetic customer service
I have tried to change the flight to Sydney. At the beginning the guy answered my phone was great and everything went through quite smooth. The first agent promised me you dont need to paid any tax difference and you will receive a confirmation within an hour.
Now the show begins. After an hour, called up again and they said sorry too many flights have been cancelled today you have to wait until tomorrow. Fine, I wait. Call again next day, another agent said sorry no estimate wait time. How the hell, I call few times and I have all different

The best part of the show came, I called up after two days and this agent pickup my call and told me there is a TAX difference you need to pay before the order can be processed! She keep insist that is my duty. It just absolutely a joke! I asked them to check the recordings and get their stuff together before calling me again. Is this airline company have contact center staff proper trained? Zero customer service.
