After trying a few options, the Eco Kids Single Mattress has been a surprisingly good find.
First impression: it actually feels like a proper mattress — not too hard, not too squishy, and supportive without feeling like a plank. My child took to it straight away, which is honestly half the battle.
The second thing I noticed was no overwhelming “new mattress smell.” Anyone who has unpacked a boxed mattress and felt like they’ve opened a chemistry experiment will appreciate this.
Comfort-wise it seems to strike the right balance. Bedtime has been smoother, sleep has been solid, and there have been no complaints about lumps, bumps, or mysterious “uncomfortable spots” (which kids can apparently detect instantly).
It also seems pretty resilient so far. It’s survived bedtime stories, blanket forts, enthusiastic jumping, and the occasional starfish sleeper without sagging or losing shape.
The unexpected bonus? During story time I’ve ended up lying on it more than once and thought, “This is actually really comfortable…”
All in all, it does exactly what you want a kids mattress to do: comfortable, supportive, well made, and drama-free.
And if you’re a parent, you’ll know that anything which makes bedtime even slightly easier deserves five stars!!

at 2am. Big parent win: the easy-wash cover—spills and accidents are a non-event. There’s no weird chemical whiff, and it already feels built to last well beyond the preschool years. If you’re even half on the fence, get it. It’s worth every cent. ️Gotta Love Eco Kids!!

Don’t trust the company – Was in the final stages of purchasing a mattress but when I got to the final payment, the cost had escalated to $110 extra. Even though the website clearly stated that delivery is free in metro Melnourne...... The response from the company was unsatisfactory, and they offered to deliver it for $80, which is actually more expensive than getting it sent to Brisbane, even though it’s made here in Melbourne. It’s misleading and false advertising.

protector at the same time and so glad I did after a spontaneous middle of the night projectile sickness (if you get my drift). My son was delighted with his big boy bed. Will be purchasing another for our next child when they are old enough.
We love this mattress for our 4 year old. Not too firm, not too soft. It did come smelling very strongly (just of new mattress smell) but we aired it in the spare room for a few days before putting it on his bed and it was totally fine. Definitely recommend. Show reply
