Not as advertised – Its not really a sensor light since it stays on 24 hrs a day. Theres no way to set it to turn off automatically after sensor is activated? How stupid. Its b.....obvious that people would want it to turn off after a while like every single other sensor light does. I want my money back. Show details

Like many others these only work for a short time – I had one of these and it worked really well on the sensor mode (which is why I bought it). But then it just stopped working about 12 months later. After reading the other reviews I am a bit surprised that Bunnings still stock these. Don’t waste your time and money. Show details

Charger always failing – The comments relate to the UK vesion bought from Homebase which was for a while owned by Bunnings of Austrailia. The electrolytic capacitor E1 fails afer about 18 months which I think is due to the heat generated within the power supply unit. I have replace several of these with high temerature rated capacitors but without any long term success.… Read more

Also R4 2.4K resistor burns up and fails this seems a little dangerious and a potential fire hazard. For the help of others I have drawn out the cuitcuit diagram and hope it is repoduced below:

Click Dusk to Dawn CLKRT410P – Looked like quality product. Purchased five (5) for my bathroom and Xmas gifts last year 2018 Bunnings. NONE of the five lasted. At $24.95 expensive! They still look brand new! Show details

A great idea let down by quality – Like many others we bought seven of these & now around eighteen months on all bar one have failed. The light, torch are fine, every failure related to the base/charger unit. One design issue when they did work was a far to short time on. An expensive exercise, the product should have been better designed. There seems to be no similar product… Read more

nowadays. This was our third experience with movement night lights & EVERY other product also failed in a relatively short time. Research identified that three components failed & caused this almost 100% failure rate. The technically inclined can in fact replace these components (a resistor, a transistor & a capacitor). Overheating or under rated components are the issue.

UPDATE: The resistor in question is 2.4K (use 5W). The transistor is a MJE13001 400V (CEO) 750mW 200mA.

Love it - Until – Absolutely love this product , have had it in my bathroom and the kids for during the nights however it stops working after about 18 months ... Very disappointing. In saying this I would purchase the item again as it’s perfect for the job until it stops performing

One awesome light! – Had mine for 18 months or so and it's never missed a beat. Been very glad of it in power cuts also. Sensor responds every time, perfect for the baby's room at 3am in the morning :)

Leave on 24/7 great – Had this light plugged in and turned on 24/7 for over 6 months now, I would not be without it. Fantastic for the grandkids getting up in the middle of the nite also have shift workers in house comming home at all hours of day and nite - the always on light is welcoming and helpful in finding way about when everybody else is in bed. Also been very… Read more

helpful in blackouts we have had the light has been invaluable . Tryed to get another one but could not find them anymore at bunnings . I think also a deterrent to burglars seeing a light on in hours of darkness.

Rubbish – I have had 2 of these and both have stopped working. It is the charging base that does not go.replaced by Bunnings and the second one did the same thing. Show details

good idea but does not work – I bought at least 6 of the Click Night Guard, all fail between 8-18 months. lately I bought 3 more to replace them which is slightly smaller version with no switch to switch between dust to dawn and motion. It works perfectly on dust to dawn but no motion as described in the package. I ran the warranty hotline but they don't have any idea how to… Read more

make this work. I returned them back to Bunnings and get another 3 replacement, disappointment-all these 3 again, they just don't work in motion mode which I really want. I don't care if dust to dawn mode don't work!

A bad product from Bunnings – Annoyed - light stopped working Like many others, my units have stopped working. There is clearly a fault with these, and the manufacturer or the reseller should replace all faulty units. Very disappointed as these were purchased for use. One should think twice before purchasing similar items from them. Purchased in 2018 at Bunnings Warehouse. Show details

Click Night light – This item looked good and bunnings did a great job promoting it but after returning 9 of these in the first four months I feel that this item is crap and Click needs to wake up and get real in the design of their products I will never buy any Click products again until someone tells me what I wasted $180.00 on these crap Nightguard rubbish, I see… Read more

Lights out – Loved this product and then it just stopped working. Both the torch and the night light component just stopped. Had it about two years which I suppose is good for a low price product however having googled, there appears to be no reason. Won’t buy brand again Show details

Click nightlight and torch – Same experience as other reviewers. Planned obsolescence I suppose. Disappointing but lesson learned- wont be buying Click products again. I hope that Bunnings are aware of this and stop selling Click products. Show details

Was awesome until it just stopped working completely :( – Great design but cheap manufacture what a shame it was really useful. Wish manufacturers would make products to last instead of creating cheap crap that ends up in the landfil. Show details

poor design or components – I have had two of these and both failed after 12 months or so. Disassembing the charger base after each failure shows that one resister (R4) is burning out, I suspect after the torch is removed from the base and left off for a period of days with the base still turned on. So this is either an under-rated component, or the overall design is poor for a 'no-load' condition. Show details

Was good until it Died!!! – Have bought 2 Click Sensor Night Guards. Worked very well as indoor night lights for just over 12 months and have now lost that capacity. Still OK as a torch, but bought it as a sensor at night. Look good and robust, but reading other reviews there is obviously a fault with the product. Show details

stopped working within a year – I am one of those people that thought the click night light was a great invention only to be terribly disappointed when 4 out of 5 bought stoped working it is the base unit as when you put the torch into one that is working hooray it starts up. Show details

Stopped working – I brought 4 just over a year ago. One died about 3 months ago and found one in my sons room stopped working tonight. But it's the base that's not working anymore. If I place light on other base it works. It's a shame as I loved them and recommend to friends who went and brought them. Show details

Great when it works – It is programed to self destruct. I have bought them as presents for family and bought 4 for my house and every single one never made 12 months. DONT BUY! will never buy anything made by click again.

Same as everyone else – Nice design and concept but stopped working within a year. So disappointing and such a waste of resources. I wouldn’t bother purchasing again.

Both stopped working completely after a year. One was mainly switched off! – Great at the beginning then suddenly stopped working. I didn’t expect that. I don’t understand it either! One of them wasn’t even used as a night light, just as an emergency torch. So disappointing!

Was great until it wasn't – Worked wonderfully for less than a year, at which point the sensor stopped working. Still works as a torch, and looks great, however this totally missed the point which I bought it for... For the price I expected much better, and it looked far better than the competitors aesthetically (which apparently shouldn't be mistaken for quality). Disappointing.

Night guard – DONT waste your hard earned cash. Bought multiple of these lights for self and family. Like other purchasers failed to work within 12 months. NOT a good purchase at all.

A beautiful life and a premature death – A beautifully designed and extremely useful product, I will miss it awfully now it has died within the year. I bought it from Homebase who seem to have disappeared and don't respond to my request for a refund.

Ditto to all below! – Brilliant, initially! Bought six, two for my elderly mum. We loved them, ideal for all but one of hers failed in a short time and like everyone else, cannot get replacement part. Will be interested to try one from Aldi as someone else mentioned!

Failed too soon – We have bought two of these and both have failed way too soon. Disappointed as a brilliant product in standby mode for elderly guests to feel comfortable in our home. Also very useful in the event of power cuts. We have given up on trying to use as both units no longer function in sensor mode.

Did not last – Bought this from Bunnings for $20, great concept but just did not last more than 1 year. That's a shame really as it makes it a bad investment overall. Cheers

Lovely... until it dies – I bought one and loved it, I liked the fact it was also a torch and a warning if the power had failed. It did what it said it would do, then completely died. No user serviceable parts.so it needs to be binned to add to landfill... So disappointed, as it looks great quality... and for an LED light to die within a year is shocking. The LEDs will work for 50,000 hours, but nit in this device. Now looking for similar from another make.. DON'T BUY.
