horrific – if i could give zero i would. Pump doesnt work but no customer service, purchased from Yatala pumps and irrigation they just send you back to Davey and Davey say if they tested it and it works it works. Save yourself some money and dont purchase one because to try and get it to work with the people they tell you to use at your own expense just costs you more money. didnt work from day one. Show details

Davey HP65-06T pump did not last the distance – I posted a review for this product two and a half years ago. Whilst the pump I had installed failed early in life gave the brand the benefit of the doubt and purchased the same product again. A bad move I now regret because the new pump failed after a year and a half. I believe my earlier view of the pump being junk is now justified and I have… Read more

now replaced the pump with a Chinese (ahhhh...) pump for one third of the cost. Have used the Chinese product previously and its still going gangbusters. Whilst Chinese is not always quality it appears to be much better than the over price Davey pumps which have had short life spans and are relatively expensive. I'll not purchase another Davey product again.

Leaking pump on the HS50-06T – Approx 2 years after purchase the pump developed a leak in the water pump area with the motor constantly cutting in and out. Arranged to have it looked at the local pump supplier. They said the ceramic seal needs replacing which they did. I thought it would have been covered under warranty, surprise surprise it was out of warranty you are up for… Read more

$160. Approx 12 months later the same leak appeared again, back to the supplier another repair done at a smaller charge. Today the pump again started to leak on the low pressure side which meant the pressure switch did not activate the pump but still leaking. On everything we have had to endure with this pump l would NOT recommend it to anyone.

Nothing But Dramas – The first one burst & we lost all of our water. Granted Davey paid for our tanks to be refilled. 2nd one has been installed for 3 years and is now starting & stopping for no reason. It supplies the water to our house so it isn’t a case of taking it to the service agent and waiting who knows how long. Plumber too expensive. Won’t buy Davey again Show details

Thought it would last but it didn’t :( – I thought this was a high quality pump as I’m paying a premium but no, only lasted 2+ years and it died. Would not recommend buying this brand at all.

Davey HP65-06T pump did not last the distance – Davey is an Australian company and I purchased their expensive product because I assumed it was quality and would last. Nothing was further from the truth. The pump should have lasted 20-30 years as only used as a garden pump but failed in less than half that time. When I talked to Davey I kept getting the "out of warranty" rhetoric with the… Read more

company ducking responsibility and refusing to stand behind its substandard product. There are much cheaper pumps on the market which cost a heck of a lot less money and probably last a lot longer than my Davey lemon. Consumers do not need over priced junk which fails to last the distance and then be confronted with a company which expects consumers to pay out again.

A dud product and a company which had no interest – I purchased a Davey HP 65 06T pump 11 years ago. It was an expensive pump and I wrongly assumed it would give me good service over many years and that the company would stand behind its product. Nothing could be further from the truth. The pump has now died despite only being used as a garden pump pumping clean water. I contacted the company but… Read more

was fobbed off with the 1 year warranty escape clause. Apparently the fact that it was a very expensive pump which failed to have a realistic life expectancy did not matter. The company's response reminded me of how I might feel had I purchased a Rolls Royce vehicle and been told to buy a new one after 10 years.

Consumers expect a product which lasts the distance. This one did not. Consumers also expect a company to stand behind its product. Davey did not.

There's other products on the market which are much cheaper than this piece of junk and likely will outlast it by many years if not decades. Think carefully before buying a pump from a company which has no interest past the sale with a warranty in name only as you may end up having to fork out a lot of money when your product fails well before what should have been its end of life.

Management at Davey should be ashamed of its business model.

3 years later and the next pump has died. This time purchased online. The product is not fit for purpose and I'll never buy another Davey product.

Davey water pump pressure switch and pump – We have a brand new house and have only used their installed pump a max. of 7 hours in 3 years, and the Davey rainwater pump stopped working after 2 years, WELL inside the lifetime you would expect the pump and switch to last. Unfortunately I didn’t do anything for another year. So after 3 years from buying our home, I contacted their closest… Read more

outlet for advice and all they wanted to do was sell me a replacement pump and switch without exception, basically, tough luck, boo hoo for you.

So I did some testing and bought a new pressure switch (NOT another Davey) for $40 on Ebay and fitted it to the pump myself.

Works like new.

Thanks Davey for saving me LOADS of $ :-)

Waste of money – Pump was 4 weeks old plumber check it out, had a faulty pressure switch davey would not give warranty because he was not a davey agent. My advice buy one from ebay at least you can get refund with pay pal. I would never buy a davey pump ever again.  Show details

Did not last, no customer service, poor quality product Avoid – Purchased this DAVEY pump just 3 yrs ago to supply our house with Rainwater. Pump is fitted to a large "flooded supply" (so it doesn't have to work to lift water / doesn't have to work hard at all), and has never been run dry (plus it has a sensor to protect from dry running ) The Only water it has pumped is VERY CLEAN rainwater collected from… Read more

our house and shed roof

After approx two and half years it started to leak water badly from the main housing

We contacted The local supplier, Need to contact Davey, Contacted Davey by e-mail, Davey said contact supplier, Responded and advised we had contacted local supplier and they said contact Davey, Daveys then response was "outside of warranty", (not interested), We Responded and advised their item did not meet anywhere near the expected lifespan and should be considered a warranty /replacement.

We advised them that As per Consumer law regardless of the manufacturer's warranty there is a clear expectation of how long an item would last in normal use an $800 + pump in an optimal set up as ours it should last at LEAST 5-8 yrs before requiring new seals /overhaul, any work

Davey have ignored all contact and have not responded to any e-mails or attempts to contact them.

The local supplier, has had no success with getting a response from Davey either

Very poor form / customer service / support and does not provide any customer confidence
