Why I will never buy another Davey Firefighting pump. The inside surfaces are coated with powder coating , so over time this coating sheds off, and restricts and distorts the flow at the nozzle head. It's a PIA that is unnecessary. Terrible idea. The manifold ( 4 way outlet) on the top of the pump corroded where it is coupled to a stainless steel valve. I accept that corrosion happens, but I can't believe the lack of online parts availability.(a deliberate marketing decision) This manifold would be a common failing part. I can't believe the tiny number of approved local parts vendors who even exist, let alone who carry the parts. I can't believe DAVEY would believe $200 is a reasonable cost for such a basic part.. But worst of all it seems perverse in a bushfire prone country and season, a fix is days away at best. new pump time. Goodbye DAVEY. Never again. Hopefully an OS company starts to make non genuine parts for those people stuck with the same issue, and they sell them like hotcakes online.
