Debit Success Questions & Answers
VerifiedHow many unhappy DS customers have signed with Derrimut gym? I have issues with the transaction system, knowing what I am actually paying for. All it says was payment but its never consistent. Transparency needs to happen.
Hi my enrolled in a training course and did direct billing with debit success but was not smart enough to start it so are we stuck paying full price of course or not pay and go to court proving that she was too dumb to be in a course to begin with?
I have something from this being taken out of my account and I have no idea why I never asked for it to be taken out and I would like it to be cancelled. I'm confused as to why it's been done. Thanks. Mel
It looks like you may have subscribed to a business whether gym or educational one that takes money out of your account periodically. See if you can call them. But it is very hard to get through to them.
Mel, I would report your C/C as lost then a new card will be issued and then next time they try to deduct it it won't work. Have you ever been a member of a any gym & it took 20mins to get through to them and I advised them i that my membership had expired in April 2019 conversation with D/S D/S "that is the min date" me "I didn't sign up for eternity, but 1 year only" D/S "your contract states min 1 year" me "that's illogical and not legal in Australia, contracts have end dates and not open ended & I'm not paying for the next 20years" D/S "Well your debit will continue to mount up unless the gym advises us"
I spoke finally got through to the gym and emailed D/S and cancelled everything as they had on file were I contacted them in Feb 2020 to cancel the membership.
AFCA will take care of this company and i am trying to get them deregistered for their conduct it is criminal and also the fees they are charging are illegal get your banks to stop any more payments from them.
Hi,
Why does debit success ask for my netbanking client number and password when attempting to pay online by direct debit? If I disclosed this information I would e violating the terms and conditions of my netbanking account with my bank.
There is a reddit that talks about this - external link
Thanks!
that is very very concerning that they want your net banking password, they essentially want to access your bank account to pay themselves?
Someone other than debit success please reply! Has anyone gone through the accc or financial ombudsman to sort this company out? I am at my wits end with paying extra money every week. It is disgraceful how this business works but I just want to find a way out of it. Ever since signing up for my gym they have been nothing but trouble. I still use my gym and cannot afford to pay the fee for breaking the contract. I have also heard from countless people of them transferring their gym membership only to have debt collectors come back months later saying they owe $800+ to this company. I am sure they aren't attempting to take money out of my account resulting in a fee. I just want to know what my options are to avoid this fraudulent and pathetic excuse for a company.
I would also like to go through a financial ombudsman as I have been charged outside of my contract for Debit Success
Speak to your bank. Dispute all fees and request refunds.
Does you company appear as DEBITSSUCCESDF Notting H" on bank statements?
Hi Kylie
Thank you for your message. In order to accurately respond to this rplease contact us via pr@debitsuccess.com with the account name and number and we can look into your query.
Kind regards, the Debitsuccess team
Yes, that is one of the ways their company appears. Debitsuccessdf is the company name and the location debiting the amount is usually shown afterwards. I am not sure why this needs a name and account number, unless they want to be using it for 'chasing a default' or similar.
Hi, I am unable to afford any payments for the final part of my contract due to unemployment. I am already in arrears for my apartment weekly rent who are horribly warning us we may have to leave if payments are not made which again I can’t make anytime soon. I am worried and scared that due to me not having any work and not being able to afford my final payments with debit success I will be in trouble. Can you help?
Hi there Thank you for your question and we are sorry to hear of your situation. As we're sure you can appreciate people are on different contracts and unfortunately due to security we're not able to respond to specific client information through this forum, however please contact us via pr@debitsuccess.com with the account name and number and our team would be happy to look into this.

Will this be reported as a bad credit rating?
Hi Jerriel - thank you for your question. Without specific details we're unable to answer your query, however please email the details to pr@debitsuccess.com and we will assist. Kind regards, the Debitsuccess team.
If your bill is outstanding for your service. Yes. If it's just Debit Successes outrageous and illegal fees. Then, no. They will not be able to provide evidence to support their reasoning for charging $15 For a transaction that costs them nothing. They are a money for nothing redundant third party service. Businesses like gyms like using them, because they keep the money coming in. Minimal effort to chase overdue accounts.
My suggestion is to walk away from any institution that makes you sign sign a third party billing agreement. Especially with these guys. Pay your membership in advance. There's plenty of other options including interest free credit cards that avoid dealing with these guys.
By the way Debit Success. I will be lodging a formal complaint with the Credit obusman, as you are charging a penalty for withdrawing an advance payment for a service that has not been provided on random days, that are outside of the billing contact.
