Dangerous – This stove top has recently been installed in my retirement village kitchen, I have used ceramic tops for 30 years with no problem till now. To me it appears to be a design fault. The large hot plate on the front is too close to the knob and actually touches the knob when using an average frypan and medium pot. The knob becomes very hot making it difficult to alter positions and one cannot centre the pan or saucepan over the ring properly. The silver knobs are in the front and are very large and easily knocked. Surely a designer can do better than this - perhaps starting with a cardboard cut out. Once again, works okay but bad design.
