Good for small scale work – + Excellent for blowing light material (dust, leaves, wood shavings) in proximity to the nozzle. + Light to carry, easy to manoeuvre it one-handed around corners and legs. + Low price. + Low noise. Can be irritating at full throttle, but generally mild noise output even without hearing protection. - Used it to “sweep” around the house wrap-around veranda on a weekly basis. It died (after gradually losing power and stuttering over a month or so) at exactly one year. It doesn’t have the stamina to do that kind of work.

- Returned it for repairs and (+) the warranty was honoured but (-) it took them about 2 months to repair (eventually they actually replaced it with a new one).

In summary, very good for maintaining a tidy work area (or blowing the embers of the bbq back to life!) but using it on larger areas consistently will decrease its life to a year or so.

Good little unit – Handy small unit with enough power to clean up. Nozzle can be taken off and it’s easy to store away. Lasts a while on a charge and not too heavy.

Does a great job blowing the leaves and stuff out of my 80sq courtyard – Relatively quiet (compared to a 2 stroke) Powerful for its size. Does the job quite quickly. Easy to use. Its light and mobile. My only critique is the inlet should be on the right side. Being right handed, if I use it anywhere near my right leg it tries to suck my leg into the motor :) - small design flaw and something i can work-around.

Purchased in at Total Tools for $109.

Hamid ZB – This is a great blower I bought it 3 months ago at bunnings for 98 $ and I think it was a reasonable price. It has an extension part and an extra nozzle for inflatable things like swim ring and .... The battery usage is normal. Handy, small and super powerful

A great Battery Powered Blower in a small package – I have used this 18v Li Ion battery power blower for about 3 months and have been impressed with its performance, especially from a small size package. The unit is well balanced and weight in at about 1.5kg with a 1.5ah battery attached to it, obviously it would be heaver with bigger battery. In having the unit on full speed, I was able to get about 20minutes out of the 1.5 ah battery, so for small and medium garden paths, sealed backyards, garages, this unit would do an admirable job.

The blower has decent air flow on full speed @ 18000 rpm, 2.8m3/min, enough to remove wet lawn clippings of a solid surface whilst on the low setting it removes dry leaves very well.

This unit has the lower part of its blower pipe made of flexible rubber, so banging into your out door furniture and such will not be marked, plus it comes with some accessories that help blow up camping beds and such.

De Walt have designed a solid unit and this product fits well within their 18v ZR Li-Ion range, so if you already have some De Walt tools of the ZR 18v range, this would be a worthy addition to help clean up after a few DIY jobs.

A very good piece of Kit.
