Excellent tv – Excellent tv, brought it four years ago and never have any issues. The only thing is the remote. It's cheap plastic so it broke awhile ago. Just use a Universal remote and now all good. Picture quality is excellent for the price I paid $229. This product is no longer available but I think it should last a couple more years yet. Need code for TV to use universal remote – TV is OK have lost remote /&need code to use the TV universal / other wise color sound all OK good price / size etc. Can any one help or do I have to buy an original remote just to use the TV with out having to manually change buttons on the TV ??  Show details

Very good Product – Great TV, excellent picture quality. No distortion, great colours. Sound could be better. Several very useful ports and choices. We have a permanent USB Drive to watch recorded videos and photos. Smart TV, although due to our poor internet connection we haven't used this feature much, but I've seen it used on another home with good results.  Show details

Dick Smith you were Great – We have purchased various Dick Smith TVs over time, and their a great product, they last for years without problems. We currently have a GE6878. (121cm)(47.5") LED LCD TV and have never had any problems. The speakers are great, unless you run it through the Foxtel Unit, which seems to reduce the volume loudness, and has ample ports.  Show details

Basic cheap TV – The picture quality is ok although not up to more expensive TVs. The sound however is very thin and completely lacking in any bass and after some time I bought a sound bar. Good value large TV – I am basing my review on wanting a large tv for mainly free to air. I was willing to sacrifice the picture quality. Obviously do not buy this tv if the picture quality matters to you. Also use this TV for streamed Foxtel (which is bad quality anyway) and xbox games. It is light and easy to set up. A disappointed choice – These sets have awful sound needing the purchase of a Bose sound bar. This is a great TV for a spare bedroom – The picture quality is good, I am satisfied with the speakers. It has HDMI ports and USB, It is not a smart tv but all round not bad. Terrible quality screen worst impulse buy EVER – I feel like I'm still in the early 2000's with the quality of the screen on this TV it's blurry, response is terrible. how they didn't expect to go out of business with crap like this being flogged off under their name. Do yourself a favour and skip this buy. Or if you really want one buy mine only 350$, I'm happy to take a loss.

Impulse buy – Sound is rediculous and annoying tinney sound, picture is of poor quality unless u stand 50 meters away. But that's what you get for Impulse buying. What's even more annoying was the seller was well aware. As I rang them to discuss the issue, only to be told buyer beware. I guess that why they are going out of business.

The sound is rubbish – The sound on this TV is tinny, I've tried just about everything to improve the sound quality. My last resort will be speakers. However that annoying because I have to connect speakers to the TV to improve the sound quality? I mean really, come on Dick Smith electronics, lift your game.

impressed! The Picture is very sharp (no pun intended) and clear, it was easy to set up and has all the features that my daughter paid almost twice as much for with her smart TV purchase just this past July.

Had Better – Needed to replace our old TV and a bit low on cash. Tried various places and liked the offer that came with it. The picture is good and clear. The things I don't like are the remote which is very clicky ( like the old frog clickers) and the Tinny sound from the speakers, lucky I have a sound system connected to it. It does have 3 HDMI outlets to connect your recorders and other accessories.

Great TV but can not record if TV not on – My hubby brought a dick smith 47.5" TV he was told by the retail reason that it records. Now we have it connected I have tried several times to do this and was unable to do so. I rang the shop and asked and was told it will only record when TV is on, so was not happy bout this and there is nothing I can do. Clear picture, great sound once a fiddled with the sound settings. Doesn't record unless the TV is on.

Program guide – new tv great picture but doesnt seem to have anywhere to go to see the coming programs - i went into the store here in alice springs and they abruptly told me that its only a generic tv so probably not - I am disappointed we don't have one the tv wasn't that cheap for me great picture no program guide i can find

Useable, Not Great, But Usable – I find the tv itself OK, the dvd is crap and every so often you have to reset to factory settings because it asks for software updates (which according to DSE don't exist). Talked to DSE support and didn't get much help with it. I personally would not recommend this product. Good picture Can't lock in some settings (audio), dvd player crap, have to reset to factory default sometimes as it asks for updates, complete lack of support

Problem Resolved – The Technical Help Desk from Dick Smith has advised that the PVR Function only works if a UHF Antenna is connected and the internal tuner set up correctly. The PVR function will then allow you to record from preselected channels. I now upgrade the set to 4 Stars being great value for money and a superb picture for a LCD TV. No further complaints. Technical Help Desk was on the ball and solved my PVR problem.

Great value for money for a spare TV or in Bedroom – I bought this for my son so he could use his Xbox with this TV in the gaming room. inputs. There is a usb port for viewing photos, music and movies. Movies are AVI file formats, but the movie file when playing is very small.

Overall, extremely great price for a LED LCD TV, that's energy efficient as well. Very happy with this. Great picture quality, energy efficient, value for money. Doesn't have a swivel base, and audio needs to be enhanced.
