This a/c is terrible on heating. The c5 codes defrosting on cold mornings when you want heat is disappointing. I hope it will cool on a 40 degree day during summer. I hope I don't have to write another review Show details
Follow-up · My review is only on the dimplex dcb14. Don't know about any other Glen Dimplex products. Team Dimplex has cut communication after challenging there specifications. Hot days, as summer is around December. I'll be reviewing dcb14 cooling efficiency around then ! Troubleshooting steps for heating have been exhausted, the product doesn't work!… Read more
The heating barley works in a transportable donga its noisy c5 code keeps coming up on a defrost cycle every 20 min its 6 degrees out side was better just buying a cheap heater or just putting a decent split airconditioner in probably would of been cheaper..E2 code appeared must be spazzing out from the cold Show details
Good morning David Thank you for your enquiry. C5 code is… Read more
Would not recommend to any residential home – I purchased this product to replace an old box air conditioner, it was the only box air conditioner that fitted the dimensions of the previous air conditioner. The air conditioner has great features of a timer etc. It cools the room without any issues. I am used to the consistent droning noise from a box air conditioner, after about 20minutes of… Read more
running the air conditioner becomes unbearable noisey and fluctuates in volume. Not ideal for a good nights sleep.

Dimplex window/wall dcb14 – Installed into wall but is a bad design for a wall unit and the thing fills with water when it rains as there are tons of slots in the top and one side the slots slope upwards, (what fuckwitt designed this?? and the drain at the back doesn't work, I had to rig up a syphon.. Good product, poor customer service – Was able to purchase this air con at a significant discount through Union Shopper and had read a review that said this unit was ideal in a similar situation to ours. However, as it was to be used in a sliding rather than sash window, felt we needed some clarification on installation ( manual is very light on). Contacted Dimplex via their website,… Read more · 1
despite all the naysayers. Well, the naysayers were right, no response from Dimplex. Purchased heavy-duty brackets to support the unit and used marine grade ply (painted) to fill the window. Installed neatly and comfortably cools a large, open plan area during a period of high humidity.
Pretty hopeless to be honest – I've had the Dimplex DCB09 for a few days now. It did nearly nothing to the larger room so I've now got it in a small bedroom now. It's pretty hopeless. Very loud, and while it is certainly cooler than the other rooms it doesn't seem to be capable of making this room any more than that - 'cooler than the other rooms'. Problem being, because it… Read more
only works in a small room, putting up with the noise is even harder. Luckily I'd recently bought a pair of noise canceling headphones and they make it bearable.
Bummed I've forked out $514 for this thing.
It tries – I've had this window wall air conditioner for a month. Yes the hottest month of the year, in fact Sydney had its hottest day for 70 years or something during this period! Anyway, the air con has continually pumped cold air, all the functions have worked, everything is great....but I can only give it three stars because for a 2.6kW fixed air… Read more
conditioner installed in a full brick home it just doesn't cope as well as Westinghouse. I don't know why as I'm not an engineer, all I can say is it works as well as it's meant to, nothing is wrong with the machine or the quality of its build but for the energy it consumes it doesn't do as well as other brands.
If you buy it you will have a reliable air conditioner which blows cold air but make sure it's in a well sealed, well insulated room which is smaller than the area it's designed for.
So far, so good – Recently bought this reverse cycle window air conditioner for use in a bedroom. Weighs a ton, or to be precise, 51 kg's. Works well so far on cool, yet to try heating. I would have liked it to include a window mounting kit, but fortunately I'm quite handy, so installing it was quite straightforward, and no-one is likely to walk under it anyway... Show details · 1
