Terrible – -when i bought the unit and got it home the box looked like it had been opened. -tried it out and the remote didn't work -it didn't play dvd+r -it froze on most of my movies in certain spots where other dvd players haven't -took it back to ds and exchanged it with another, thinking this was just a bad one out of the batch. -the next one i took home played my dvd-r fine no freezing but the remote did not work on this one either
-this time when i took it back to ds there was another person with the same dvd player also returning so i just got my money back and went to another shop i bought this on special for $59, thats about it for the pros. didn't play dvd+r, the picture froze in a lot of movies the remote control didn't work at all.was a pile of crap.
Good – If it wasn't on sale (even at it's regular price of $90) I'd buy it again. The disk tray is the only part of the construction that lacks duribility but the 3 year waranty ensures your getting a peice of hardware that will last for a while. Price ($59 on sale). So far, It's played everything I've put in it. Lots of features (echo effects, 5.1ch enhancer, 7 band equaliser).
Mostly good remote control.
Supports all audio and video outputs. Flimsy disk tray (don't buy this for your kids).
Too many menus, love all the extra features but way to complex for tech newbies.
Remote button layout is a tad adhoc, functions that should be near each other are at oppisite ends of the remote.
