Can you use an acrylic finish paint over oil based prep coat
Novice answer but I have used an oil based undercoat on my outdoor deck fence. Then applied water based final coats (assuming they are acrylic) with the approval of my local paint shop. Other more knowledgable than me may confirm this is OK.
Hi Geoffrey, generally the answer should be yes you can. it may be a bit dependent on the substrate and the application but usually it would be alright.
