Awesome machine! – After a lot of research and visiting all the mower shops, finally bit the bullet and purchased an Ego self propelled from Total tools North lakes. As a 71yr old ex mechanic with a bad back i needed a self propelled and liked the idea of no petrol or oil. These machines are not cheap but got a reasonable deal from total tools so grabbed it. Wow, talk about exceed expectations! this mower is awesome, more grunt than a charging boar and just so user friendly that my wife has commandeered it! Seriously consider an EGO if you are after a battery mower or self propelled, they do have a top of the range price tag but you certainly get what you pay for, streets ahead of anything else we looked at and the 7.5ah 56v battery lasted for the full claimed 50min on our lawn and still had plenty left. Best mower we have ever had and we have owned quite a few over the years. Battery power for us now, never go back to petrol.

Lives up to the hype – Really wanted to move up to lithium ion in the garden now my 4 stroke Victa mower is a little old. Looked at Makita 36v as I already have the batteries and chargers, but all the reviews pointed to them being underwhelming. Did a little more reading and found this mower constantly being ahead of the rest of the crowd. Thought I would give it a go, despite the heavy price tag and very, very glad I did. Have only used it the once (so far) and mulched the back garden which was a little overgrown.

The mulching works great, no lines at the side of the mower and all mulched grass distributed evenly amongst the lawn.

This thing has more power than my Victa and a more linear torque delivery. Even in the thickest most overgrown part, it didnt bog and slow, it actually increased power and sped up!

Will update the review as tine goes on, but so far, massively impressed.
