After I had purchased an EGO chainsaw and was really happy with it (see separate review), I explored the EGO product range a bit further and saw this multi-tool set. I have a 40 acre bush property in the Brisbane Valley area and plenty of use for the various attachments. The kit comes with: the power head unit with a 5 Ah battery and a charger, line trimmer, brush cutter, hedge trimmer, pole chain saw, edger and rotocut attachments, plus an extension pole. Intitially the price put me off a bit, but in June last year I got a half-decent EOFY deal. The kit replaced a similar petrol powered multi-tool kit that I had constant issues with. The two speed head unit has plenty of power, the build quality is good. Everything looks and feels solid. As with the chainsaw, there is no yanking on the starter cord, idling, noise, fumes etc. It only runs when you need it to and push the trigger. It's extremely easy to use and handle. Even my partner who woudn't touch the petrol one, loves to use it. I use the brush-cutting attachment with the Weedwakka Heavy Duty and MultiCut blades, and brushcutting has never been that easy. I get stuff done in less than half the time that it took me with the old one. With the two batteries I have (one from this set, one from the chainsaw) I can work forever, as one battery lasts at least as long as it takes to recharge the other one. There are no servicing needs other than cleaning, occasionally greasing the attachments and recharging the battery. Nearly 12 months after my purchase I haven't had the slightest issue, and I am very happy with the set. I can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone with a bit of acreage and even for light commercial use.
