my eko cameras will not connect even after getting the beeps and trying many times on different phones ...they connected once and now refuse to work...my other wifi cams have no such problems, is the problem with the eko app...or simply a combination of rubbish camera hardware/ software. Constantly dropping out or turning itself off wouldn’t recommend as it’s unreliable ! You have to go home and turn the device on and off for it to work again! Terrible devices Show details

Drops out constantly – Since i have installed my cameras one of them constantly drops out and will only work if the power is switched on and off again ,then it works for around an hour and drops out again , Eko please do not ask me to email you directly , i would prefer you to answer on this forum so others can relate to this issue.

cheap and nasty – Don't buy Eko cameras, waste of money. You cannot play back any footage recorded on the SD card on a laptop. When contact was made with EKO customer support it was confirmed that play back is only possible on the mobile phone App. Other brands for the same money offer this feature. Show details

Not great – Worked well to start with. Stored for 10 weeks and now motion and sound detection won't work. I've restarted the devices and removed them and readded them and detection is switched on to high sensitivity. Show details

Check your wifi speed and upgrade to 100mbp at least to stop drop outs – I give a high 3 star rating for these cameras. Here’s why. Old wifi was 50mbps, constant offline and not being able to find encrypted channel and needing to switch on and off multiple times a day. Upgrade to 100mbps, no more drop outs. cams don’t seem to have a reset option. This option is needed to change wifi name and password. Bypassed this step by renaming my new wifi with old name and password for instant change over of all devices. Indoor cams take a micro sd card, yet to test, no info in booklet. Found info online. Outdoor cams do not take an sd card. App allows up to 16 cams to be added. App has a photo and video record function. But it only records and takes photos of the one highlighted cam, which can’t be changed during record feature. Screen record is only option and you will need a lot of memory for a short video. Quality of video seems good on indoor and outdoor cams. Outdoor cam microphone is very good and can pick up conversation from 20 metres or more away. Outdoor infrared works well. Indoor cams also work well. But for mine they face out from windows. Infrared reflects off glass regardless of brand. An outside light will help cam to see outside at night through a closed window. App could do with more features to help record all cameras at once. At the right price I would even pay for this record all cams feature to be saved on the apps cloud and viewed and to be able to crop and download exactly the parts needed. An auto motion detect record feature would also be awesome. They are cheap. They work. The app needs improvement. Will you be disappointed? Maybe. But you get what you paid for.

Misleading advertise! – Bought these security cameras (2 indoor + 2 outdoor) before Christmas 2022. On the box, it has an icon of a micro sd card for indoor and outdoor cameras. Worked initially, good value for money at $79 - failed within 6 months – These were easy enough to set up, linked with Google home. That said, they simply stopped working. They will not reset. Have followed the instructions repeatedly, bought a new SD card for both in case that was the issue. Reached out to manufacturer and received very vague instructions which I’ve seen here already - uninstall app, put an SD CARD in, repair etc etc.
I have quite a few smart devices throughout and have no issues, these cameras are just cheap and nasty. Less than 6 months and they just stop working.

Easy peasy – I bought this after having a prowler. It was easy to install even with the wires. I will need to get PowerPoints added inside to facilitate this longer term for fire and electrical safety. But for the money it compensates for that cost. Sensitive pick up and good clarity. So far so good – The install is really straightforward, download app,mount camera, connect power, connect camera following the prompts, adjust camera and your done. During the day it works great for what you pay, night is IR technology so not coloured just black and white. the first sight of movement. Indoor cameras have movement monitoring which follows objects detected. The only downside is the indoor doesnt come with ceiling mount brackets so i mount mine upside down, you can buy aftermarket mounting brackets. Overall it works for my purpose so 5 stars from me. I installing all 16 channels (cameras) The view angle is 100 degree so not as good as the top brands which offer up to 140 degree or more but ample for a basic system. The cameras have a micro sd slot to record imaging but I havent test that ability. The outdoor wifi camera and indoor wifi camera i have dont have battery backup which i see other brands have but im using a UPS system so if the power goes out it still works. All up its ducks nuts for me.
EKO wifi security camera - Cheap But Not Perfect – This camera does what it states but it’s not perfect. I find that this camera does have trouble with motion detection where it picks up any little movement all the time. It also has some issues with connecting remotely this is not always consistent though as some times it connects straight away. For $98 it’s one of the cheapest outdoor cameras with these features so I feel I can put up with the quirks. Show details

Work as stated – Say the EKO Home Security Kit on special and thought I would try it. Two internal and two external cameras. So easy to set up and use the app on my mobile. Was so happy with it I bought another one and the app can run those too.
