Don't waste your money – Bought this one year ago to save money by not having to pay for ink cartridges You buy ink and fill up four containers on the printer The quality of printing compared to a printer with an ink cartridge is quite frankly crap. I have had numerous communication errors with this printer requiring me for hours to delete the driver and reinstall it,… Read more

and call Epson for support

The biggest negative for me is the printer has no heads up display- no LCD window. Just some dinosaur era buttons. It makes spurts and noises and you have no bloody idea what it's doing.

The number of times I have got an error on my laptop and then feel like killing myself due to hours spent trying to work out what's wrong with the stupid freaking printer is really absurd.

Do not get this printer. After a while you have to do an aggressive printer rest and cleaning of the nozzles that burns through a crap run of your ink, negating any savings you thought you were making by going cartridge free. I still have it and after 1 month of no use I started it up again and it won't even print a single page- it's like the page is 1/10 of the darkness and there are lines missing throughout the entire page. So here I am back again trying to diagnose this nasty bloody printer. Waste of time and money.hate it.

What a great printer – I can't understand why some reviews are negative. This is the best printer I have had. The only failure to me is not having double side printing which it can't due to the way it prints. It's a great printer and will save you a lot of money by not having cartridges. Quality is perfect Show details

Inky fingers – Sometimes needs repeated tries to connect to wi-fi in the next room. Printed well to start with then got stripes I can't get rid of. This is due to the pipes getting air bubbles in. Surely this only needs a hole the size of a molecule! Flimsy, useless heap of junk. I bought this because I thought I wouldn't be ripped off any more with cartridges but I've spent enough on this for a boxful of the things. Show details

Don’t waste your money – If you want endless paper jams & communication errors then this printer is for you. I bought this printer because I like the idea of refillable ink tanks. I haven’t had to use the spare ink after 12mths of regular use but the headaches this printer has caused isn’t worth it. Show details

Crap quality machine, – Crappy machine, print out with fade colours with lines in between, first one happened within warranty so I get to replace with another one, then the second one happened with same issue but is out of warranty. It is a shame for Epson product such shot product L, they should re call for all 2710 model from customer to save their reputation. Show details

Great until the warranty ran out – I have had a different experience with this printer to most of the reviewers. I was able to set up the wifi without a problem, the print quality was great, it can print on quite thick card, so good for greeting cards, and the print cost is tiny compared to a cartridge style inkjet. And then the warranty ran out. Within a couple of weeks the… Read more

printer had developed a fault with the printing, faint lines appearing on all prints. Cleaning didn't help, neither did 'power cleaning'. Epson didn't care that it was only just out of warranty, it wasn't their problem. I would have to pay a local service centre $50 just to look at the printer. It's a real shame. I would have given this printer a 5 star review if not for that problem.

Worst most annoying printer ever owned – Despite the settings, the colour print doesn't print in correct shades, its yellow. Print in grey scale, its yellow. Most annoying machine to set up ever and it doesn't come with a plug in, so anyone one wanting to quickly print something has to download the painful software. I don't even print when I need to, because most things come out wrong.… Read more

A yellow resume needed at the last minute is my breaking point. Zero stars, I wants a refund! Don't waste your money on this hunk of junk.

Ok when it worked - ink will not go into tanks – Only had this printer for less than 2 years. Ok when it worked with ink supplied. However on trying to refill the four ink tanks with genuine Epson ink bottles, none of the tanks allowed ink to go down into the tanks. The tanks remain empty and the printer will only print in black as the only tank with a bit of ink left in it. Another example of… Read more

A terrible printer - worst I have ever had. Will be trashing this printer soon - not worth giving it away – Quality of print deteriorates rapidly and needs continual head cleaning on a regular basis - and not recommended to do another head clean within 24 hours if print quality remains poor. Printing is slow and the quality is not the best. Show details

Great when it works. Major wifi issues – The eco tank is certainly an affordable way to print at home (much cheaper than cartridges). There is a major issue however with connectivity - both USB and WIFI. 90% of the time I need to reinstall the software for it to connect to my network which is beyond frustrating and very time consuming. I have literally spent hours trying to get this to work. Epson need to do better Show details

So Bad.. Won't connect to WiFi - Epson Support also very average and not helpful - Returned – This was my first EPSON printer and likely to be my last. After 2 days trying to set it up I've had no luck. I really should have read these poor reviews first. Doesn't AirPrint either. Shame that the first step is to fill it full of Ink. What a waste as surely nobody is going to ever use this thing. Im returning it. Show details

Worst printer ever for the price – I bought this printer for its Eco tank system… But it takes to long to setup, Yes, print from your smartphone through the Epson App which wouldn’t connect to my iPhone or iPad and doesn’t allow you to AirPrint. pages, every noisy and much slower then my older one which that had better functions compared to ET-2710. Doesn’t print double-sided even though it said it did on one of the sites, I looked at, have only been able to use 4 times without it stuffing up for the price $400, but NO.. I’ve had to go to a family member to printer my documents sooo disappointed… I contacted Epson and I did everything they said, still nothing a non-working printer, I un-stalled, re-installed nothing…. Epson weren’t very helpful on how to fix the problem & rude, poor customer service skills, I have contacted the place of purchase to see what they say, well it has a 2yr warranty & its well well under that… I will not be going for an Epson brand again. I paid $79 for another brand over 10 years ago, did double sided, AirPrint & Wi-Fi connectivity & I will be going back to that brand for the basic of features that this particular model lacks. Definitely agree this product is bit of a lemon & utter waste of money…..

It doesn’t print double sided!!! – I didn’t struggle too much setting it up, but I did struggle with the fact that after I had bought the printer I realized you had to buy a separate USB cable! bit deceptive when it says on the box “print from your smartphone”. Yes, print from your smartphone through the Epson App which still doesn’t allow me to AirPrint anything much except photos. Terrible Printer – I purchased an Epson EcoTank ET-2710 printer two days ago. I have had many Epson printers before and generally, they have been pretty good. Sadly, this one is a lemon. Worse Printers I Have Used in My Life!! – First of all the customer service of epson is so rude, and not helpful , I was struggling with the setup from a month, they was totally ignoring your queries instead, they telling you read the manuals and do it, and call again , so you will ending up calling again and again to solve your issues, It has huge difficult and complicated… Read more

installation,

It is not compatible on every internet or Wifi , not compatible with 5G network, so it is useless in the new generation,

It takes way much more ink than the other printers, itself without using any phone or tablet or any other devices or any applications, on other hand , in HP PRINTERS YOU can do that, in cheaper price,

There are many disadvantages using EPSON PRINTER ET 2710 , SO FAR I have experienced There are many more, which I don’t want to experience, for not using and recommending anyone to use it ,

unreliable wouldn't buy it again – To set the printer up you need a USB printer cable which is not included. When you finally get it setup you can then use it WIFI. decided to supply a USB rather than an ethernet port is beyond me. When it eventually connects the scan and print quality is fine and the refillable ink wells are good. It doesn't double-side print which is functionality I would have expected for this price point. Due to it being frustratingly unreliable I wouldn't buy this model or an Epson again.

Do not buy - another useless printer – Ink tanks are a good idea. 9/10 Set up to wifi 1/10 Reliability to wifi connection once set up 2/10. Gave up. Have to use USB cable. Print quality 5/10 Overall reliability 3/10. Picked up today after warranty repair. Waste of money. Manufacturers don't seem to realise that a bad product turns people off their products permanently. 0 would have been more appropriate – Purchased just over 2 months ago. Could not even complete set up as it kept turning off. I'm not sure if it finished setting up as it would not even turn on now. I have a faulty $398 printer. I could have just kept buying ink for my old Hp Envy printer. JB Hi-Fi has not been helpful either. They gave me a faulty printer that I now have to get repaired even before I could use it. I would not recommend the printer or JB Hi-Fi. Show details

Whatever 'savings' there are from having no print cartridges is wasted by needing constant head cleaning which wastes a lot of ink.

Scanning technology doesn't seem to have improved since my last scanner, but at least the scanner works.

Misleading claims on ink – I have a new ET2710, only owned a couple of months. I bought it as it said I would get about 3600 pages from the tank. Black is now empty and I have got 1334. have put in a Tech Support request and got flicked off....

Please be advised that undertaking any of the following actions regardless of the settings, will cause a small amount of ink from each cartridge to be cycled through the print heads to ensure the best possible print quality at any given time:

* Turning the printer On. * Changing Ink Cartridges.

This is what they say. Changing cartridges?? It doesn't even have any. Utterly terrible Customer Service and utterly useless printer. Never again. AVOID this misleading piece of junk.

Basic Printer with Refillable Cartridges – I have used many printers. The Epson Expression ET-2710 is a basic printer with minimal features. There is nothing wrong with that, however at $400 a pop it is obvious the consumer is being charged for the refillable cartridge aspect. I wouldn't buy again unless it was half the price.
