Was helping an old couple get their printer working. Is such rubbish. Poor english, required two apps to install to my iPhone for setup. Needed chatGpt to tell me the correct buttons to press to enable connection to an AP, as neither the printed instructions nor Epson’s infuriating online guide was correct.

DO NOT BUY! – Complete garbage. Printed 3 or 4 pages successfully then printed lines only. Had to run the print head test so many times to fix the issue that i ran out of ink. Re-filled with black, only to learn that it needs every colour to print black and white. Wish i looked on product review prior to purchase and problem solving. Will not buy an epson product again out of principal.

Epson XP-2100 series Printer is a Rip-Off – Designed not to allow Black ink printing IF any colour ink is empty. Micro chip on the front of the ink cartridges do not know how much ink remains. It appears that the Micro chip may only serves to let the printer know when the ink cartridge was installed. Won't print unless you buy new ink. Show details

Garbage, inadequate, useless... need I say more? – I've had a few printers now because buying a printer is cheaper than buying replacement cartridges. Yep, you read correctly. There is no incentive to save the planet through re-use because the ink is so overpriced that I might as well just buy a new printer for less than the price of a genuine black ink cartridge. But I'm not even complaining… Read more

about that. Even if my printer is properly set up, if you accidentally turn it off, you have to go through the same laborious set-up process again because the printer is too stupid to remember settings and work out connectivity with my PC. I have plenty of devices connected to my PC-wifi and I can turn them off willy-nilly, do handstands, upgrades and whatever... but Epson is so bad that it can't remember a lousy setting. I only bought it because I needed to print something cheap and needed a scanner. For a 10 second scan, the printer needs a half an hour set-up.

If you add the fact that the scanner must be on 24/7 to maintain connectivity and the fact that I've bought and thrown out four printers for no reason, Epson gets zero stars. The solution is not to increase the price of the printer but to decrease the cost of replacement ink and manufacture a product that works!

Waste of $99.00 – Bought this at big w a couple of years ago and hardly used it.Couldnt set it up by Wi-Fi and cost of ink to what I managed to print a disgrace.Never buy another epson again. The company should be ashamed of selling it and give all the customers their money back. Show details

Absolute piece of garbage – Strip time and download of software is misleading, and no air print. It constantly updates, disconnects and just doesn’t work properly in general, have even bought new cartridges for it and tired my best to make a frustratingly inferior product work to no avail…. Infact I won’t bother trying to sell it …will make a YouTube video of me blowing it… Read more

apart with a shotgun. I bought a HP6032 and had it up and running in 5mins do not buy an EPSOM printer as long as live

Good printer – I love this printer as easy to set up and fast printing. Such a shame it isn't easy to change cartridges and get on using it. Too much time wasted pushing button afterwards and it telling you to change the cartridge! This is the only fault and the reason I wouldn't buy again. Show details

A perfect printer in its price range – The Epson Expression Home XP-2100 is a really good printer when you set it up correctly. There have never been any problems with my printer. It works perfectly and I've had it for 3 years now. There are non-original ink pertrons for the one that is cheap and that works. There have never been paper problems like with many other printers. I thought it was good. The printer is always reliable. Show details

Does everything unless you need to print with it – I found this printer easy to set up with wifi and my computer, it printed ok at first. However, it won't print even in black and white (greyscale) even when you select it, unless all the cartridges are full. When I don't use it for a while, the cartridges slowly drain, so it's almost never ready to print. The cartridges are also difficult to… Read more

exchange, as they like to hide under a cover when you open the printer, and you have to push some buttons to catch them in the open. Will get rid of this printer and buy one that has better ratings here. I realise my 1-star review isn't going to change things, as it's already on 1.3 out of 5 stars. Congrats, Epson: Excellent strategy to lose customers!

Good for the recycling section at the rubbish tip only – This is a completely garbage, unreliable printer. You know you're going to get stung by expensive cartridges when you buy a cheap printer, but this is still the most ink thirsty thing ever... on the extremely rare occasion that it even works. Don't waste your money and sanity on this piece of crap. Show details

Cartridge selling scam, avoid! – This printer is complete garbage. I just replaced all ink cartridges , at 90 dollars, and after printing one page I get the prompt telling me I need to replace the cartridges. It hangs on the prompt and there is nothing you can do. Printing in Black and white mode has been made complex, instead of just click a button.

Epsom XP-2100 Rubbish – I bought the Epsom XP-2100 from Harvey Norman. It is the worst printer I have ever plugged in. The instructions are atrocious. Scanning and Printing need separate PC apps. You are not told this in the instructions. It has a scan and print directly mode which is pointless having because most of what you are copying is not there - it only prints out a few black marks here and there. It will be going back to Harvey Normal tomorrow for a refund. Show details

From the day I bought it, this printer only caused me frustration and made me loose my time – First, it took a good amount of time to set it up. Then ok, it was working. But then once one cartridge ran empty, and I bought a whole epson original cartridge pack just to change the magenta color, the printer cannot recognize the cartridge. And surely there is no official support in epson's website for this problem. I have followed all correct… Read more

steps to change it. And it is not working. I have bought it less then a year ago. I hope to get a refund on the printer and cartridges.

Won't let you print black-only (mono) unless ALL the (expensive) colour cartridges are full – Very cheap, and scanner and printer both work fine for small jobs. But the cartridges are expensive, and worst of all the 'print black only' function does not work unless ALL the colour cartridges are full. Cheap to buy, but very expensive to run. I've chucked it out, and am now buying a Brother mono laser. Show details

ABSOLUTE RUBBISH! – Was given this printer new with the purchase of a new laptop. Was quite difficult to set up and instructions were so basic and uninformative. Used it twice to print a total of 8 pages. The third day it WOULD NOT TURN ON. Told to take it kilometers away and wait 10 days to fix it. Through it in the BIN. ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. What a drain on the planet. Show details

Couldn’t be worse really – Spent ages researching. I couldn’t believe it possible that a cheap printer would be so awful. I just want to print easily and quickly. I don’t want to spend ages figuring this out. Very disappointed. Have spent a fortune on cartridges and print about 10 pages in b n w and finished! Colour is also used even in grey scale printing. What a waste of time n money.

Absolutely terrible product: Epson XP-2105 printer – XP-2105 printer. Bought this printer a bit more than 1 year ago. Still available for $55. Nothing but heartburn and trouble. Waste more paper getting it to print than actually print on. Haven't used for about 6 weeks, now won't print. Did everything. Showed low ink when I haven't used any colour for a long time. Epson Aus service said replace… Read more

all cartridges. Spent 150% the printer cost to put new cartridges in at $71. Still wont print. Service said clean heads. 3 times. Did it again. Still wont print black. Service said print heads need replacing. Told me to take it to a service agent. Agent says $120 just to look at it, plus anything else they want to charge me for. Buy this or any other Epson product at your own peril. It would have been cheaper to buy a whole new printer every time I needed to print anything.

Worst printer I've ever used – I have moved house and now the printer won't connect to anything. I have tried following the set up menu and even used their website and still nothing works. Literally biggest waste of money buying this printer I have ever spent.

Just throw it out, you have lost – It comes with a black cartridge which is full, and empty colour cartridges. So the problem light flashes immediately. Salesman said, Oh they all do that. Struggles to do the bare minimum – This is one of the worst printers I've purchased. Wireless printing is painful at the best of times, it will print one document, but then drop its connection and go missing on the network and will need to be restarted. It doesn't use native iOS or Android drivers, so requires you to use Epson's proprietary apps (which are terrible). Refuses to… Read more

Worst ever – I bought the printer and the inks were empty, I spent like 2 weeks waiting for a replacement of those ink. It was finished at 10 pages, I said it’s ok and bought the XL ink for all colours. The yellow one were empty after 30 pages and the others colours after 40 pages aprox. Plus the quality of printing is horrible If you want to expend all your money in inks for a cheap printer… this is the one that you need. Garbage  Show details

Worst printer that I ever used – This is the worst printer that I have ever had. The setup is confusing. I bought the printer at Tescos. Piece of garbage – Absolute waste of money. Features are almost non existent, although you expect that in a cheap printer. Supplied ink cartridges started showing 'low on toner' after only a couple of uses - replaced with new cartridges and now it won't recognise them at all. It's too light to use as a doorstop or a boat anchor, and as a printer it's pathetic. Garbage product. Show details

Shocking – I have been up all day trying to set it up. I’ve downloaded all the Epsom Print apps, I’ve changed ink cartridges in which it says it’s still working. I’ve followed all the instructions to set up the wifi still refuses to connect. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. It’s absolutely worthless. Very upset for having bought this.  Show details
