Good quality print, but only when it actually does – I cannot in all honesty recommend this printer to anyone. The quality of the scans and prints are very good it must be said, but the trouble is it rarely prints it in the first place. I have had issues both connecting the printer to the wifi and connecting from a pc to the printer. Even if the job is sent, the ink cartridges always seem to not be… Read more

working or be empty (even when they're brand new). Then there is the issue that we bought our printer in the UK before moving back to Australia and that there is a hidden country lock on cartridges, meaning we cannot use any cartridge we buy in Australia. Good quality print, but terrible in every other aspect.

I wish I had learnt the first time! – I had this printer for just over one year and hardly used it. I only used the CD printer. I turned it on one day and it came up with a scanner error. I called the company and they stated that it would be cheaper to buy a new one than get it fixed. I brought the same printer as I had the ink for it, less than a year later, I needed to print on some… Read more

CDs and the same error had occurred. I wish I had learnt the first time. I wont be buying this printer ever again. Basically it cost me $149.00 to print on 5 CDs! Terrible Epson, you should be ashamed of the quality of products you are supplying to your customers.

Hate this crappy printer – Very difficult to configure, hate it, really hate it. Want to smash it! Don't buy this printer. Was working ok, then stopped working. Tried to configure it again, spend many hours, couldn't get it to work. There are too many bits of software to run. The whole setup is just crap!!! Hang your heads in shame Epson.

Very poor – I have used an Epson Printer Artisan 730 Printer for a while as I wanted a printer that would print printable CD's. However after a while giving reasonable service it suddenly came up with a fault and refused to do anything. So as I had a few spare cartridges I got another identical printer and after a while it came up with the same problem. That… Read more

was when I found that this model printer is no longer available and Epson suggested I try the Epson XP-700. This is the worst printer I have ever had any dealings with. It would not connect to my computer running Windows 7 and so I tried an older computer running Windows XP. Eventually I managed to get it to work using a USB cable, but after giving very unsatisfactory results on three CD's using black, it refused to recognise the black cartridges. I got a full set of printer cartridges and after a few prints it now refuses to recognise any of the original cartridges that came with the printer. When printing CD's it requires to put the CD onto a removable insert, but it is the most difficult thing to get it to accept that the insert is correctly inserted.

I am busy advising ALL of my friends and members of the club to which I am a member to avoid Epson printers and have given them the full details of the problems I have experienced. Some others have advised me of problems they have experienced and they are recommending that I try a Canon. Nothing, cartridges very expensive and originals not recognised by printer. Very difficult or impossible to set up. Everything went wrong with the setup and running. Could not get it to work with Windows 7 and had to revert to an old Windows XP using a usb cable.

I am such an idiot – I can't believe that after being so disappointed with the service from Epson I purchased another Epson Printer. But convinced by the sales guy - it happens, I have just purchased and XP700 and have just spent the last four hours trying to get it to work. What a waste, what a disaster, the only way it will print is when I totally disable my… Read more

Firewall - I don't have the time or energy for this. There is no support, no helpline no nothing - I am so angry I am packing it up and returning it to Officeworks tomorrow. I am just so over buying stuff that does not work, or needs hours to put together and fiddle around with. Price and apparent quality Doesn't work
