was starting to think i had been scammed. Item ordered 19/10 and numerous emails and queries 1 month later, i receive an email stating the order has been dispatched (the same day i was told they finally found my order). Anker the parent company obviously doesnt know what the local company is doing and has no idea of tracking orders and order numbers.
Order arrived, looks good, packed well, pretty much everything you need. Initial install is easy.
Then comes the configuration .... this is where it all falls apart. The software is that counterintuitive its ridiculous. Its as if 3 or 4 developers wrote the code in isolation from each other, and that's just the mobile app. Throw in the web portal and a few more developers who have never spoken. If you are expecting to go to one place to setup a camera / presets / settings etc, you are mistaken. Not only are the configurations scattered across the App but they are also sporadically spread across the web app too. Mind you the web app doesn't have all the options / configs that the mobile app has. Because of this you tend to forget where all the settings are and continually flick between mobile and web, and flick between multiple areas within each app.
I somehow (still unresolved ticket for 12 days) cant login to the web app, but can login to the mobile app. This in itself can seem almost trivial except for the fact there is no backup for all your configs you have spent hours tweaking. The support feedback was that your settings are in the web portal so you dont need to back them up. I cant log in to the web portal, so guess what no settings are available. It gets worse. If you cant login to the web portal you cant configure some things, view other things, export videos etc. If you create a new account on the web so that you can log in, when you connect to your NVR you will not only lose all your settings but all the videos as well.
There are so many things i can keep adding here, but dont see the point.
Camera zoom (crops and not to the actual extremity), sound / voice recording woeful, AI detections show continual phantoms, AI mis categorisations (too many to list), you can feedback mistakes from AI but you have no idea if it means anything. Stationary cars come up as moving vehicles all the time. etc
