Died After 1.5 Years — Unreliable American products Review: My Eufy smart lock barely made it past 18 months before falling apart. The remote lock/unlock stopped working, the motor kept getting stuck, and the fingerprint reader became useless. The mechanical part of the lock is fine — which tells you the problem is the cheap actuator and… Read more

electronics, not my door.

Honestly, I should’ve known better. This thing is clearly built for the American market, and it shows — flashy features, weak hardware. Meanwhile, the Chinese and Singaporean brands are the ones actually building reliable smart locks with strong motors and proper engineering. Lesson learned.

If you want a lock that lasts longer than a phone contract, skip Eufy and buy something from a brand that actually specialises in smart door hardware.

I spent $1000 on two locks and my battery went flat so l took the cover off and put it aside whilst I charged the battery. A gust of wind slammed the door and hit the cover lying on the floor and broke it so l just needed a replacement cover. Should be very easy you'd think. They are still selling them its only 14 months old and eufy has all this… Read more

information of lifetime customer support we will go way out of our way to always serve and help your every need and yet after multiple multiple emails they offer no service at all and suggest l just buy a new one and they will send me a 10% discount voucher. So for a part that should cost two to five dollars they want me to spend $450 instead. They have absolutely no customer service whatsoever!! Just expect you to buy another one when they could supply a replacement if they actually did have "LIFETIME CUSTOMER SERVICE" when they have no customer service at all. I don't mind paying for the part or shipping and obviously they have thousands of them because they are still making them but they just can't be bothered with helping a customer with any customer service once you bought something and you have a minor problem that can be easily fixed. I would buy elsewhere and check their customer service for parts before you spend a lot of money on your home security. I can't believe in this day and age a company could be so hopeless and useless and offer lifetime customer service but deliver none!

Eufy wifi smart lock not working – Lock stopped working. Tried all the troubleshooting on Eufy website after several emails and phone calls to Eufy, that I initiated they never call me back and are not interested in helping me. This lock is a lot of money to stop working after a couple of years. If they don’t return my call I will be going to the ACCC. If you look on reddit there are A-LOT of unhappy people with this product.

Abysmal battery life – Terrible battery life. The battery lasts two weeks even with no use of the lock. Contacted customer service, they wanted a copy of the receipt which I didn't have because I bought the lock from a bricks-and-mortar store. Do not buy. Show details

Battery dies in 2 -3 weeks – Bought this smart lock considering battery would last 1 year as advertised , but after using it for 4 months I have charged battery for at least 3-4 times now, I have logged ticket with Eufy Support for this issue by email since there is not telephone support and the battery is sold out if you want to order one, DO NOT BUY THIS SMART LOCK , this… Read more

is a very known issue with this smart lock if you dig deeper on internet. I installed this smart lock on my front entrance double door with all fittings and it is a complete dud. Since you can't use AA or AAA batteries you are left with no choice.

Right now battery life is 2 days , wish I read comments here earlier.

Great lock. Absolutely horrible battery life – The branding advertises 365 days battery life... I've had this lock for 4 months now. When I installed it I noticed the battery would go flat after a week. I contacted Eufy support about it and they admitted it was a fault, and suggested I return for a repair with my retailer (Catch.com.au). After a lot of difficult back and forth with them I… Read more

finally had the battery replaced and the original lock returned to me. After using this for more than a month now, the new battery is better but I'm still getting a low battery after 2 weeks. I cannot be bothered to return this again and go through the nightmare that was, so I'm writing this to make others aware. I read somewhere on a forum that these batteries weren't good but there weren't any official reviews stating that so I thought nothing of it at the time.

The lock itself is great and I haven't had any other problems, but this is a big one. I'd almost be happy if they included 2 batteries so I can charge one while using the other. As it stands I have to have the lock offline once a day every fortnight.

Simple and Effective Smart Lock – The smart door lock is simply more than I expect. Installation was a breeze by following the steps highlighted. The locking and unlocking functions by the use of fingerprint reader, keypad, IOS/Android APP, Amazon Alexia/google next/Apple Homekit and includes 5 physical keys. I mostly use the fingerprint reader as it is quicker than apple iPhone 8… Read more

fingerprint reader a few years ago. The phone app allows for remote opening and closing the door and other configure other settings. I have also added the skill to allow voice control via the use of an Amazon Echo show 8, it works well. I have had the smart lock for about 3 month and so far it has been faultless. The battery on the app indicate 4 out of 5 bars still remaining. The only exception testing all functionalities is using the app to remotely opening the door lock, that it does work but, it take much longer with 4G. It probably also works great with the addition of a Eufy 2K video door bell.
