1 Sharon G.  · Waste of money – Charge does not last long. Have tried multiple settings but still only get two weeks before requiring charging again
2 Geoffrey P.  · Dissapointed – Paid 500 for this video battery or wired door bell and the wretched thing keeps needing to be re set
2 Andy  · Don’t rely on this – Very poor pick up of human activity. Misses many instances. Motion detection is overly sensitive also. Don’t buy this product
1 Kevin  · Piece of crap – Straight out of the box the doorbell chime won’t turn on or sync with my phone…… good first impression……NOT

I purchased a eufy Security Video Doorbell S330 (Battery-Powered) with Home Base 2 from Amazon. Product was received and it did not include an Australian compatible power adapter for the homebase able to be plugged in to an Australian power point. Apparently this is a very common problem with this brand. The total package cost $390 making it very… Read more

expensive in comparison to other brands in the market, a compatible power adapter is not much asking. Item was returned 5 minutes after unpacking.

Never had a problem. Picks up motion quite well, we can set the area and sensitivity. Battery life is good, just need to remember to recharge every few weeks. No subscription fee. It's simple to use and change settings. Initially not the easiest to set up but considering what's its for and what it does...

Follow-up  · The door bell camera is located under eaves/verandah but even in the worst storm it's been fine. We have motion activated lights so the black and white night vision becomes colour as soon as the light goes on. Audio is fine and you can record a messages to play back live no mater where you are. However there can be a bit of a lag so live interaction would be tricky. Never had a need to use that feature.

Avoid, the battery has never lasted anywhere near the time stated. The most I get from it is 4 weeks. After talking to eufy they gave me the run around with so many option changes to make battery last longer, which has never fixed issue. Show details

Mostly happy – I had probably spent weeks comparing different video doorbell systems and ultimately made the decision to go with the Wireless Eufy Doorbell with 2K video resolution. There were a few main contributing factors as to why I chose the Eufy doorbell, one being that I needed wireless - without going into the specifics of all of this - overall I still… Read more

believe I made the right decision in choosing the Eufy doorbell over all of the others. I am satisfied with the quality of the video, the speed of the notifications/alerts, the application, and the battery life. All of which are very important. I am however obliged to point out that the integration with Google Home could be a lot better. I am not sure about the Amazon Alexa side of things, but when it comes to Google Home, I was able to ask all of my Google devices with a screen to “Show me the front door” or “Display the doorbell on the TV” - and these commands would work (when set up properly) however the loading time for the display to actually show a live feed of the doorbell was excessively long, to the point where it would be quicker to pull my phone up, open the Eufy app and look at it from there - or just simply go to the front door and look myself. It certainly isn’t a deal breaker for me but a rather mild disappointment - everything else is great and I would highly recommend this product. I also have the Eufy Cam 2 in my backyard. Also recommend :)

The bell is loud enough if I have my hearing aids in – The doorbell system is quite good. I managed to connect it after quite a long and difficult experience. It is now working and I can hear it, just only without hearing aids. I think it could be louder, but in changing the sounds made a huge difference. There is a delay when someone rings the doorbell, but this is normal with Wi-Fi setups. The… Read more ·  2

I purchased the eufy doorbell and its wireless , initial first year the charge lasted 3months than after 1 year it dramatically needs charging after 2 weeks max. It detects people at times, but now it detects cars driving past, I really recommend people not to buy this piece if junk , as it's not cheap $250 +wasted. Also brought cameras with eufy and now have to switch all devices to separate company. Show details

Not fit for purpose – Problem with camera sensor. Unfortunately I did not notice the slight flicker in the recording until after 22 months. At times nothing but a purple screen & intermittent recording problems. Customer support available & they followed up via emails to try & fix the issues. However item was supposed reliable & it had issues very early on. My advice - buy something else.I expect better than 12 months warranty Show details

From experience, go Uniden or Swann – EUFY VIDEO DOORBELL 1080P (BATTERY-POWERED) WITH MINI REPEATER: Overall not a great product. Setup and connectivity is easy enough as is to be expected these days. The device itself started playing up early on (3-4 months in) with motion detection - ie; would behave very erratically in when it detects motion/humans. I would have the lawn guy do… Read more

my lawn for 45mins in front of the camera and it wouldn’t not detect anything, but on a windy day it would go off every minute detecting nothing. Finally when I did reach out to support about the issue, customer support could only suggest playing around with settings, and would not replace the device as it was out of warranty by a couple of month, and because it was purchased at David Jones, meaning they don’t support their retailer, which seems like a strange policy. Furthermore, battery life is fine for the first couple of months, but after that you’ll find yourself having to re-charge every 2 weeks. Night-vision distorts the image and drains the battery. The app itself is fine. Easy to use. But the hardware is terrible. I have a Uniden Solo, which is brilliant, maybe go down that route instead of Eufy.

Pricey, unreliable, Eufy won't look after you if you have issues which you will – 1 year warranty for a $200 doorbell is ridiculous. I noticed the motion detection does not work after some time, in fact I don't ever remember it working to be honest. Contacted Eufy who said it was a battery issue (?) and instructed me to get in touch with the Australian branch for Anker (Directed Electronics) who took forever to get back to me,… Read more

only to find out the product only has a 1 year warranty so their only solution was to buy a new one. Get real! I'm not buying the same product year after year to fix any problems that appear after 1 year.

Other than the motion detection not working at all, it seems to work fine, but it WAS one of the reasons I bought this in the first place. I just can't believe they wouldn't help me out and just send me a replacement, and their solution was to buy a new one. Clearly they're after money above customer satisfaction and selling a working product.

Was expecting better – Disappointed in this video doorbell. Confusing on all fronts from the intial set up to the actual use of it. Online chat is just an AI in its answers. Misses lots of movements that have occured and theres a time delay in the recording. Lucky we also have the swann security system and which has picked up what the Eufy has not.

The only positive is the video and sound quality is exceptional.

For the price I expected better experience.

DO NOT buy this product – I’ve persevered with this doorbell almost 2 years and it is pretty much useless now. When I first bought it, it worked well, and I didn’t have to charge it for at least 3 to 6 months now I have to charge it pretty much every week which is ridiculous. I tried to give this product the benefit of doubt and now I wished I had returned it sooner for a refund instead of persevering with this product.

Great Doorbell. Exceptionally bad battery life – I have a ton of Eufy products including cams and WiFi lock and they are all great except this. The Doorbell itself and image quality is pretty good. I had difficulty retrieving some video files. You can only download them to your phone, no option to do it via a PC. My biggest issue is the battery. When I purchased it I got about 4 months of… Read more

charge. Video settings were set to max and I had alerts ect so the claim of 12 months is probably fair if settings were low. I was happy with 4 months. By the time it was 18 months old I was down to about 2 to 3 months. Now it's 2yrs old I am down to 2 weeks if I am lucky, Unfortunately the battery is sealed and not replaceable. If you could replace the batt i'd be OK with it but you can't. The WiFi door lock has removable/replaceable batt. When it was about 12 months old and still getting decent batt life my brother-in-law purchased one and he has the same issues. He's down to about 8 weeks.

Don't buy it – Bought the EUFY DOORBELL VIDEO 2K & HOMEBASE-2 in May 21, so its now almost 2 years old. 2 Issues are now apparent: 1. During the first 18 months of its life, each charge lasted over 6 to 8 months. I charged it maybe twice during that time. About 6 months ago in October 22, it suddenly reduced the charge duration to about 1 week. 2. Video and… Read more

images are now only available in Black and White.

During the last 6 months I have contacted EUFY Tech support for assistance and they have given me some tips to rectify both issues. I have followed them to the letter - Numerous times. None worked.

The Black and White image issue is not new by the way. Over the last few years there have been countless reviews online about this very problem. They have not corrected it. So no improvemnets to recent models appear to have been made.

I acknowledge that being 6 months out of warranty, I lose any rights to repair / replace, but put yourself in my situation. How do you feel?

This is their response: "While there isn't anything to be done about the warranty, I am able to offer you 15% off a future purchase (at most $500) of Eufy products. Just send me the order number from your next purchase and I can issue 15% back once the order has gone through. Please order it from our official store/Eufy security store on Amazon in order for us to process the partial refund."

How likely am I to order another EUFY product? Even with a 15% discount?

Make your own judgement.

PLEASE NOTE - This is no Criticism of the retailer (VideoPro) who supplied us with the unit. They were fantastic.

The system is far from what I expected – After extensive research, the Eufy video doorbell with mini home-base repeater seemed to be exactly what I was looking for at a really great price but now that it is up and running, I am really disappointed in the product. However, I must say that when it is working the picture is very clear and the +- two second delay between detection and… Read more

receiving the notification is acceptable, also the intercom is clear and working nicely. My problem starts with the very basic installation instructions and the vague information that the two components, the actual doorbell and the mini repeater each have their own QR code and both have to be scanned in separately. When I had installed the mini repeater and was instructed to install the doorbell, I spent nearly an hour trying to scan in the QR code on the installation package and kept getting an error message. Frustrating but partly my fault. The main gripe however is that my phone and Tablet keep dropping the system information and I must have reloaded everything about five times since Sunday when I bought the doorbell. This means I have to remove the doorbell each time to once again scan in the QR code at the end of the installation process. Next, it is not easy for the average semi computer literate person to set up the video doorbell to operate remotely (eg away from home) on my phone, which is the whole purpose of the doorbell as far as I am concerned. I have tried to decipher the process on Google but so far no luck, it's too complicated. Also I can't get a picture from the doorbell on my Google Nest screen and the ridiculous suggestion is, if I want a picture of who is at my door, is that I connect it to my chrome-cast and turn on my TV when somebody rings my doorbell. I have connected the Eufy to my Google Home but it says it can't get a picture on the Nest screen. So, I have a video doorbell which is only of use when I am at home and even then I have to keep reloading the information almost after every time I have viewed an event. This is not what I expected and I am really disappointed as it was sold to me on the very things that I wanted but cant get. My WiFi connection is excellent but for some reason it won't pair on Bluetooth despite my phone and tablet recognizing Eufy.

Works as a doorbell but video and audio lag make it useless for anything else. Battery life poor – Battery lasts a month at best. There is a very long lag on video and audio so alerts are of no use and the device cannot be used to communicate with people at the door step. Better off buying a wireless door bell at a tenth of the price. Show details
