I sent an email to EziDebit, trying to resolve this issue (with no joy at all) I was sent a generic response, which had a link to a payment search, which shows you were the direct debit is coming from. However I didn’t use the link because I already knew it was my gym membership. I still have had no assistance from EziDebit even after reaching out in the support email. Unless my gym quits using Ezidebit, I am going yo have to quit my gym.

Hi M Ezidebit provides automatic payment processing services to gyms, clubs or other businesses. It looks as though there were insufficient funds when an agreed payment attempt was made, resulting in a "dishonour fee" as per your direct debit agreement. When payment requests are made, we rely on the response provided by your bank or card issuer to advise if the funds can be successfully taken or not. Could be for finance , gym memberships ect . They all sign up to use these guys to collect payments, if it declines they charge a rediculous fee then try take the funds again days later to add another rediculous fee.

$16 could cost you over $60 within days. These guys should be jailed for this. Smashing vulnerable Australians putting them into financial ruin, (Shame On You!!!!!)

Hi Julie, If you have a direct debit established with a business, you will need to contact that business directly for them to cancel the payment arrangement for you.
